Hello, I usually don't do reviews but I felt like I needed too on this occassion. Me and my siblings chose to go to the Men's District to get suits for my brother and father for a very special event that we had planned. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Johnny. He was so kind and immediately went to help us and answered all questions we had. He was willing to take measurements for my brother and walked us through the best fits for both my brother and father. He was extremely friendly and personable and made us feel at ease. He was able to get us in and out very quickly and made sure to give as many suggestions to color and style as possible. He made sure to have us come back the next day to have my dad try on his suit and told us his beautiful fiance would be the ones helping us. Yesi was amazing as well and had the same friendly energy. She was able to measure and hem my dad's pants and had it done in less than 20min. I wanted to make sure I gave a huge shout out to both of them and thank them both for their amazing customer service and willingness to help. Got to say I'm pretty disappointed after I had got 2 suits not by the suits but by the theft when I was in the store. I had set my glasses down to change. I left them on the counter. This was Saturday Dec 7th between approx 130pm - 230pm There was a male manager there and a female employee. I left the store since I was late to an appointment but forgot to grab my glasses. I went back the next day they said they had seen them on the counter but said that a costumer had picked them up. Why wouldn't they put them in a drawer they just let the costumer they can't identify grab them. I've tried to reach out to the owner to review the camera but the manager refuses to give me the information making me think he grabbed them. Left them my information expecting a call never got one. Very disappointing customer service. Also the tailor made my pants way too baggy would not recommend them for that service. The suits were reasonable as far as the price goes. read more

I've bought some items from this store on a few occasions. A few years ago, they used to sell leather jackets and on two separate occasions, I bought two of them "on sale" for around $160-200 in 2017-2018. Turns out, they are faux leather jackets, which I found out when the first jacket I purchased started peeling *profusely. I wasn't told this wasn't even partially real leather. I've never washed this jacket, it has never been left out in the elements, and it's lightly worn. In the 3 years I've owned it, I've worn it maybe 5 times in all. Despite the fact it appears as though it ripped, the jacket has never been ripped, torn, caught on a sharp objects, etc. Now, I figure, at that price, and had I paid more attention to the material, it being faux leather is fair enough. I went back simply to ask if the jacket can be fixed and how. However when I did, I was sent away from a clearly apathetic employee. He refused to give me the owner's number, so I left mine. They never called. I had to go back and when I did, he was already on the phone with the owner who tried everything to avoid the issue. He asked for the 3 year old receipt. I told him I could grab the bank statements which he initially accepted but later tried to reject. I asked him directly if I could have his number so I could show him the statements, he again refused. He also lied about the selling price of the item, saying they used to sell these items for $40-$60. I had to go to a different location in Mission Valley to finally find someone willing to help. Yesenia was awesome. She heard me out, got him on the phone, no questions asked, and helped me find a new jacket. To be fair: the issue was resolved when the owner essentially gave me a $60 credit towards a new peacoat. The suits are fine, some of the accessories are eccentric/tacky. However, the owner/first employee dodged the situation multiple times (if it's the number your employees use to reach you, it's your work phone number, bruh. Not personal phone.) The owner lied about the product (they don't sell leather jackets anymore, so, maybe that won't matter to whoever is reading this) and he lied about the price. read more

I love the plaza bonita location but this one at El cajon is trash I came in to buy some white pants the first pair had a black stain then the girl finds me a pair of clean ones only to have a random customer come and touch his dirty hands to feel the material and the worker tells me not to be rude because I did not want his dirty hands all over my items now you lost a customer and I have been shopping here for years last time I ever spend money in this establishment read more

First and last came here for a suite, sign outside says 129.99 for a shirt, pants and jacket then they'll tell you they only got that special in black and only one size left...for all the other colors and sizes they were trying to charge 250.00!! This place is a joke, so we got the suite but had to get the pants hemmed picked them up and it looked like my 10 year old niece hemmed them. This suite was for a wedding the following day, so I had called and complained and they offered me to go to some lady's house to get it redone, I ain't got time to do all that. My fiancé and our bridal party get their suits from here. They offer you a deal but it's not worth it. They do not have good customer service they're are not enough people working and takes awhile for someone to assist you. Our bridal party got their suits from here and here was some of the mishaps. - one groomsmen got their suit a week before and was told they couldn't get the same price as the other and charged him $10 more even though he had the quote how much it was supposed to be. - when he received the pants after opening it at home the alteration at the pants was obvious, not straight and jagged. I could have done a better job. - the groomsmen went to get his suite and there was no jacket. - the groomsmen went to pick up the suit as told and it was not ready. - day of the wedding the groomsmen wore the pants and was fitted to the legs as of it skinny jeans. - not worth the "deal" they offer when they don't even give everyone the same deal when you are in the same party. The alterations are not done properly I do not recommend, save your money for quality. read more

I was desperate to buy a suit and tuxedo at the last minute for an event (didn't want to rent), and checked Yelp. Found Men's District and hurried over. Staff was excellent -- helped me quickly figure out my best suit and tux options, plus picked out shirts, ties, and shoes. Got a great deal -- they were running a buy 2 get 3 sale. So I ended up with 2 suits and 1 tux. Minus 1 star only because the quality is not as high as more expensive options. Also, the Men's District's in-house tailor's sewing machine was broken, so I had to take my suits to a tailor they sent me to down the street who charged me $30 or $40 to hem the 3 pairs of pants. Overall, for the price, I'm very happy with the results. read more

First of all, the service here was horrible. My bf and I came here to get a suit for our friend's wedding. I called ahead to see if they had any brown suits and the guy on the phone said that they did. We arrived to the store and the guy who helped us was high out his mind on this fine Halloween night. We walked in and he was on the phone with someone and wouldn't get off of his call for like another 3 minutes having a full blown conversation on speaker. Once he hung up we told him we called about the brown suit and showed us an option where you can special order but we told him that's too expensive and wouldn't come on time. And then we ended up going with a set that they already had in the store. My bf tried it on and decided we needed to make the waist bigger and hem the length on it more. He said no problem! Did his 2 markings on the waistband and the length where my bf wanted it hemmed. Charged us $20 for each alteration so that's $40 on top of the $280 suit!! We figured he was nice since he gave us a "discount" so didn't mind paying extra for the alterations. He made convo with my bf too so we thought he was chill, however he kept facetiming his buddies in the midst of helping us. Like put down your phone bro. So we ordered the suit for alterations on tuesday night and he said it would be ready saturday for pick up. Saturday rolls by, we go pick up and it was a different store employee who had no idea what we were talking about. She was pretty rude too, she would just stare at us when we entered the store like hellooo? good morning to you too!! Mind you we've been calling the store all morning but NO ONE would pick up so we could confirm the suit was ready for pick up. So she calls the alterations store and tells us they have not picked it up yet and for us to drive 5 mins away to get the suit. Like wow seriously? Making us do your job? We needed it asap so we did not mind picking it up. We arrive at the alterations store where the employee there told us she fixed the waistband ONLY since Men's District is responsible for doing the hem on the legs. We thought that was pretty weird. My bf tried it on and was happy about the waistband but he said the length seemed fine at the time but he usually doesn't pay attention to detail. Soooo lucky us, 3 days before the wedding I have him try on the whole suit again just to find out they still look pretty long on him. I tell him to turn around and lo and behold we find the "marking" that sir Lorenzo did....which was never hemmed. We paid that extra $20 for NOTHING. Needed a last minute suit. Usually go to Macy's or Men's Wearhouse. Decided to give Men's District at Parkway Plaza Mall a try, since it was close to my work and also for the 4.5 stars on Yelp. Was warmly greeted by Omar...great first impression! Told him I was on a time crunch and expressed specifically what I was looking for in a suit. Had me try a few different styles and it didn't take too long before we found the perfect one. High quality suit at a reasonable price and there's a special where you also get a shirt, socks, tie and handkerchief with your suit. Fast turnaround too if you need any alteration. Was basically in and out in less than 30 minutes. I'm really big on customer service and I just wanted to add that Omar was extremely professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. Went here for a suit. When getting fitted Lorenzos's hands smelt like blunt. he said he'd take care of us. Sadly, he did not and we will be returning to ask for our money back. it's the night before the event and we open up bag to only find a jacket and pants. There was no shirt, tie, and socks. Also they say it's only 130 but then charged us 250 plus alterations which made this total to 300 and a massive panic and headache. Lorenzo said it was "Italian" and the tag says made in China. It was a few weeks before Valentine's Day and I wanted to impress my wife. As always, I searched on Yelp for a place. I know I could of gone the big department store route but wanted to go to a place that specialized in mainly suits. That's when I found this place in El Cajon. Walking in I was greeted by a guy named Mike. Mike was very knowledgeable and helpful in finding me the perfect suit. First, I told him some suit colors I was interested in. Trying on a few jackets. It took only a few moments to find the right one. Mike really knows his stuff. He then showed me a few different shirt and tie combinations that went well. The great thing is they had a special going on. When you buy a suit. You get a free buttoned up collared shirt, tie and handkerchief added to your purchase. Amazing. I would of ended up buying all those things anyway. So getting those items for free. Perfect. On top of the suit. I also purchased shoes, a belt and socks. Not going to say how much I paid total. But it's less than you think. Even including a small charge for my pants getting altered the price was low. The pants being ready the next day. I find it hard believing anyone beating their prices. The whole experience was awesome. Left with the right suit at a great price. Mike is great. Got exactly what I wanted. I will be back. Buy your suits and all your other men's clothing here. My wife and I walked in with intentions for me to buy a three-piece suit. There was one young individual working at the time on his cell phone and had completely ignored us while we were standing next to him for quite some time. I had to raise my voice and almost yell at him to acknowledge us. Once informed that I wanted to buy a suit, it was apparent that he did not care in the least. After five minutes of trying on jackets we had to leave because of his careless attitude, the disarray of the store with random boxes all over the place, and the most unacceptable customer service. It's a shame that this employee represents this store. My wife and I found a place five minutes away (googled it) and we were greeted by two very nice gentleman and within minutes I walked out with a stunning three piece suit, shirt, tie and socks with an array of colors, patterns and styles to choose from.
