I only have two malls i consistently go in San Diego, the Fashion Valley Mall and the UTC Mall…read more However, UTC mall is more of a leisure... to walk around and kill time, for my son to play at the playground, for the festivities on the holiday season especially Xmas, to have family fun dates and good food experiences at nearby restaurants and the mall I always go to every time I have issues with my Apple iPhone and techs. The fashion Valley Mall tho, is my main mall. This is the mall where I actually do most of my shopping. We watch movies at the AMC theater when we have extra time and get food at the cafeteria/food court area after hours of walking. My son never misses going inside the Laderach to get a free taste, the best chocolate there is. We love going to this mall, especially with my son now being a teenager, we would most likely be doing lots of our shopping activities here especially at his favorite boutiques, like the zumies, Hollister, Rayban, and plenty others I do not recall.... We also love going to The escape room where the mall is. My favorite is the Nordstrom Rack! ;) The holidays tho could get really packed and busy but there's alot of nice things to see and lots of good deals to look forward to.

Hello May!! Came to…read moreFashion Valley on what must've been an off Sunday because...where was everybody? I hadn't been here in years, fully prepared to fight for parking, but jokes on me. Endless spots to park! That's a first! Are malls dead now? How are stores surviving? Anywhoo, I still spent more than planned. Damn you, Sephora! Pros: *Surprisingly easy parking (a rare mall miracle) *Huge mix of stores from bougie to budget - Louis Vuitton, Coach, Hollister, Macy's, Nordstrom's, Neiman Marcus, H&M, Zara, and Gucci to name a few *Open-air vibe with palm trees; very San Diego aesthetic with a tropical feel; complete with fountains and artistic landscaping *Solid food options with a food court, cafes, and kiosks, Cheesecake Factory, Seasons 52, and my fav, True Food Kitchen *Clean and well-maintained and easy to wander around *There's a lot of variety here to keep you entertained *They have seasonal events that is a nice addition to shopping Cons: *Felt oddly empty for a Sunday..kinda eerie but it may be an introvert paradise *Dangerous for your wallet (you will overspend) *Some stores seem like they're hanging on by a thread *Malls just don't hit like they used to despite the pros- mainly because everything has gone up! Shopping isn't as enjoyable when things cost an arm and a leg. Overall: 3.5 Stars - Still one of the nicer malls around if you're in the mood to stroll, shop, and accidentally blow your budget (Guilty!). Would I come back? Only if my bank account approves!

It has really fun and playful things to see inside Parkway Plaza mall in El Cajon, California where…read moreI visited with someone. The whole mall feels lively in a way that surprised me, because every corner had something different going on that teenagers would enjoy a lot. When I walked through the main areas, I noticed so many teenagers hanging out together, laughing, taking pictures, and just enjoying the freedom of being in a place that feels safe and full of energy. The atmosphere there reminded me of the kind of spot where teenagers can be themselves without feeling rushed or judged. One thing that stood out to me was how many stores had bright displays and colorful setups that made the whole place feel more exciting. Even the seating areas around the mall had this relaxed vibe that made it easy to stop and take a break without feeling like you were in the way. I saw teenagers sitting together in groups, sharing snacks, showing each other things they bought, and taking fun photos around the mall decorations. Everything about the environment felt welcoming and easygoing, which makes it perfect for teenagers who love spending time somewhere that feels both fun and comfortable. It is a familiar mall to me, but I didn't realize how much there was to enjoy there until I walked around inside with a more playful mindset. I really appreciated how easy it was to have fun there without feeling overwhelmed. The whole experience felt smooth and comfortable, and I never doubted that the visit was going to turn out the way I hoped it would. I only visited Parkway Plaza one time in my life before I made this review, but that one visit was enough to show me how enjoyable and welcoming it is. It was one of the most lively and teen‑friendly places I've been to in a long time, and I would highly recommend that even teenagers go there because it gives them a place to hang out, walk around, shop, take pictures, and feel creative.

EMPTY NICE MALL (3 stars)…read more I haven't been inside an "inside" mall in years!!! If malls were still a thing, this place would have potential. I don't ever travel this East (15m from SD) but I had to pick up an item at this GameStop that wasn't at any of the may Gamestop stores in San Diego. This one is inside a mall... an inside mall (sorry I'm use to the outdoor malls) and didn't expect to walk inside and inside mall. The mall was near abandon but it's a nice mall and very spacious. From the outside you think it's just a few big stores but on the inside many small stores but also many vacancies. There are eateries and a food court that the local residence to go to. Surprisingly there is a movie theater inside too. Doubt I'll ever be back but it's a good to know what's out here.
