    I absolutely love shopping here. Whenever I'm in the area, I must make a point to stop in. I never leave empty handed. Super fun vibes, friendly salespeople who are helpful but not pushy and the styles are so me! Fun, colorful prints and clothes; great accessories, purses and shoes. I couldn't love this boutique more!

    My absolute GO-TO boutique. I always find the most perfect pieces at Sara's Selections. They are always so helpful also when I come in. Sara's daughter definitely has a good eye in fashion as well, she always styles me and picks the right outfits for me and I am never disappointed.

My girlfriends and I just had lunch together and decided to stroll down La Mesa Blvd and check out the little shops. We all (5 of us) walked in excited to check it out. We walked right past the register and the salesclerk behind it. No greeting. No eye contact. We browsed through the store and the whole time the sales lady was chatting with one man and two women at the register. My friends started leaving, but I moved back to the blouse that I liked. I thought about buying it but I couldn't bring myself to support this business Because if the bad customer service. Before waking out I wanted to strike up a conversation with the sales clerk to give her a chance to redeem herself. Now there was only one other person chatting with the sales clerk. They were talking in Spanish and when I asked how long they were in business, the older lady gave and answer and then looked away from Me and went right back to talking in Spanish to the clerk. I felt as if I was invisible! In a nutshell- cute clothes, bad customer service. I believe EVERY customer should be verbally greeted when they walk in and for sure at least some point during their visit. I don't think that's too much to ask. Another note-one friend did make a purchase. After we left she told us that she was given a plastic grocery type bag for her purchase while the chatting couple was given a cute handled bag. Weird.

At first glance I wasn't sure what I'd find, but after spending some time going through the racks, I found something classy and one of a kind for a great price. The store is well organized, with clothing sorted by size and color, which made browsing easy. The fitting rooms are spacious, and they also carry shoes and accessories, which I'll definitely keep in mind for future occasions. The reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 5 is that the loss-prevention/customer service approach felt a little overbearing at times. Associates were very attentive, but I was asked multiple times if I needed help while browsing, and there was often someone ready to take items from my hands or move them elsewhere. After I found the dress I wanted, I overheard an employee being instructed to place it behind the register before I checked out. I understand the need for theft prevention, especially with consignment inventory, but as a paying customer it left me feeling monitored rather than welcomed. The checkout experience reinforced that feeling. When I attempted to pay with a $50 bill, the reaction made it seem as though there was concern about whether it was legitimate, so I ended up using Apple Pay instead. After checking out, I was told I could select a complimentary item from the store's dollar wall as part of their rewards program. While looking for my item, I was once again asked if I needed help by someone I was approached by several times before (I feel like if I needed that much help I would know who to find???). By that point, I was honestly irritated. That said, I did find a great dress at a great price, and I would absolutely shop here again I'd just love a little more room to browse independently.

Unfortunately, I'm horrible with remembering names, but I was there January 10th and my appointment was at 3:30 PM (hope this helps get her a shout out). She made great selections based on the style I wanted and I ended up choosing the 3rd dress I tried on. This was my very first wedding dress appointment and I was suprised to have found the perfect dress so quickly. The prices were also very reasonable compared to other places I was looking into.     I drove over an hour in heavy traffic with a friend to shop for a wedding dress and was turned away…read morebefore even making it through the door. On Tuesday, March 3, I called at 3:27 PM while driving from the UTC area. I saw 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM appointments available, indicating they were fairly open that afternoon, but explained I wasn't comfortable entering my credit card information online because reviews mention a strict 15-minute late charge policy. I told the associate I would try my best to make the 4:30 PM slot, and that if other brides arrived before me they should take priority. I also said that if it looked like I could arrive within the 4:45 PM grace period, I would enter my information while driving. I was communicating proactively because that day a fiery fatal tractor-trailer crash shut down southbound I-805 near I-8 for roughly 12 hours, creating traffic chaos across San Diego. As traffic worsened on the 52 East, my ETA slipped to about 4:48 PM. At 4:25 PM, I called again to explain that I likely wouldn't arrive before 4:45 PM and wanted to avoid being charged the late fee. I asked what options were available. I was simply trying to communicate proactively and avoid being charged for something outside of my control. I was repeatedly told that because I was not already in their appointment system before 4:30 PM, they could not help me at all. I suggested several reasonable options: (1) marking me as arrived so I could finish driving safely, or (2) simply working with the situation, but every suggestion was rejected. They offered to apply the $50 late fee towards a dress, but couldn't answer what would happen if I didn't find my dress there. The conversation continued in circles. At that point I was about 10 minutes away and would have arrived at 4:48 PM, just three minutes past their grace period. Despite calling ahead, communicating honestly, and making every effort to come to their store, they refused to accommodate me. My friend had come with me to help look for a wedding dress, so the situation unfortunately wasted both of our time. We ended the call around 4:40 PM, and I turned around and drove home. Ironically, at 4:45 PM, the store called back with a workaround: if I made an appointment for the next day, they could simply mark me as "arrived" in their system and take me in immediately. This made it clear they had the capacity to help the entire time, but had chosen to rigidly enforce their process instead of welcoming business. When I pointed this out, I was told they have been in business for 40 years, which makes the lack of flexibility and basic customer consideration all the more surprising. Based on this experience, I'm glad I learned how this business operates before even walking through the door. It doesn't inspire confidence in how customers are treated once they've committed, and it's not the kind of experience that would make me feel comfortable trusting them with something as personal as a wedding dress.
