Cutest store ever! There's such a great selection of items! The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how good it smelled. Everything I smelled, smelled sooo good. Lots of candle, soap, and lotion options! Theres so many random things to name but all cute. To note, there is specifically a cute little pet section and baby section in the back! They have a wall of the cutest greeting cards. There's also cute dainty jewelry. There's also some La Mesa merch that I promised myself I would buy if my dream of owning a house in La Mesa ever comes true! Great times with great value, the pricing was very reasonable for everything! I was also immediately greeted by the cashier Darav. She was so sweet and I enjoyed our conversation. She was playing Taylor Swift (my favorite). She wrapped up all my items carefully and put it in a bag with ribbon. It was so cute and I can't wait to gift the items I bought! She also let me know if you join their loyalty program you get discounts when you spend a certain amount. It's easy to spend lots of money here because everything is so nice! So listen it's a little pricey, but also it's always more expensive to shop small and they have high quality, and perfectly curated goods. It may not be where you purchase everything for yourself or a gift, but it's absolutely a place for select pieces that are memorable and stand in their own right. Such a cute & classy shop! I felt like I was teleported to the coolest neighborhoods in LA, but nay! Rather, this trendy shop fits in perfectly in up-and-coming downtown La Mesa. This shop is minimally decorated with a small but curated inventory of gifts and cards. It was my first time visiting, and I could not resist leaving with a big armful of merchandise. It was a great place to stock up on unique cards + prints. I also bought some spicy margarita cocktail mix, and their "business card" was a complimentary coaster. So cute from beginning to end. The shopkeeper was extremely courteous and was not overbearing as I looked around. It was a perfect shopping experience! The shop is located very close to Downtown La Mesa's "Walkway of the Stars" so there is plentiful parking along Allison Ave. I am excited to shop here again! read more

My girlfriends and I stopped in this store after having lunch together on a Sunday afternoon. We had just left the Divas Gallery where we were ignored by the employees, so we were discussing that and we were a little perturbed. We saw Small Batch and decided to check it out. We barely walked in the door and we were greeted by a cheerful sales lady. She was very friendly and let us know that she's here to help us with whatever we needed. My girlfriend was looking at some jewelry and the salesperson showed her more pieces that she thought she would like. She found a nice necklace that she purchased. The rest of us were looking at the large selection of cards that the store has. This store has some fun and FUNNY cards! If you're looking for a unique card, you've got to check out Small Batch. This was a fun store to shop at as it is open and very organized. There's a nice variety of goods to look at and we felt like we were very well taken care of. Love this little shop! I had never really been to La Mesa before but this area is really cool. Great restaurants around and then awesome shopping like this. I got a great candle and some earings for my wife, a really cool wrap for my newborn baby and some really cool old school style wooden toys for my daughter. I hear they sometimes have some beer and wine tasting in there for you to sip on while you shop. (its delish) The staff is so friendly too!
