Just one corner of the treasure trove of stamp products!
    Madisen H.

I was in desperate need of a rubber stamp escape and I found it here at Stamp Delights. Debbie, the owner of this wonderful creative haven, is extremely helpful and sweet. Stamp Delights has a wonderfully crafted selection of both new and used or "loved" stamps as Debbie puts it! It was so hard to choose from the selection but I managed with three unique stamps all wonderfully made. I will certainly be coming back.

In 2025, shelves were cleared out and there were broken items or Christmas trees up for grabs. Well, I now have a second tree lol! I could not pass up this deal!!! A $600 tree for $150?!? I was super excited because it looks real and is beautiful. I'm so excited to decorate at the end of the year. I was impressed by the girl at checkout. She wasn't flustered by the crowds. The tree I was waiting to get packed for me ended up being packed and sold to someone else due to poor communication. She immediately made sure I knew what else was available and any additional discounts she could ask about on my behalf. Loved that! They were putting out Valentine's day and St. Patty's day stuff in December. I thought this is crazy but I will definitely be there next week for the Valentine sales. I love all the coupons weekly and the variety of crafts. You can't go wrong at HL.

There is a lot of parking out from the store. However, often all of the handicapped parking spaces are taken. The fact that Hobby Lobby does not provide family planning access to healthcare to its employees bothers me and I consider that policy when I am thinking about shopping here

Lots of candle, soap, and lotion options! Theres so many random things to name but all cute. To note, there is specifically a cute little pet section and baby section in the back! They have a wall of the cutest greeting cards. There's also cute dainty jewelry. There's also some La Mesa merch that I promised myself I would buy if my dream of owning a house in La Mesa ever comes true! Great times with great value, the pricing was very reasonable for everything! I was also immediately greeted by the cashier Darav. She was so sweet and I enjoyed our conversation. She was playing Taylor Swift (my favorite). She wrapped up all my items carefully and put it in a bag with ribbon. It was so cute and I can't wait to gift the items I bought! She also let me know if you join their loyalty program you get discounts when you spend a certain amount. It's easy to spend lots of money here because everything is so nice! I will definitely come back any time I need a gift or just want to buy myself something nice!

The shop isn't open every day, and while part of me wishes it were, it actually makes catching it open feel like a treat. It turns a simple supply run into something I look forward to. My first visit was just to browse. I picked up a few skeins from the discontinued/orphan bin and some fun extras for a crocheter friend. The selection immediately stood out -- this isn't big-box store yarn. The fibers are higher quality and much more enjoyable to work with. On my second visit I purchased a beautiful wool/alpaca blend hank for fingerless gloves. Carol balled the yarn for me and then taught me how to split it into two equal balls for my project. The concept honestly confused me at first, but she explained that you divide by weight rather than yardage -- and suddenly it clicked. One of those "aha" moments you remember later. Shortly after, I returned for two more hanks of the same yarn. Carol again walked me through using the swift and ball winder. I even sat at the big studio table ripping out a glove... twice... while she patiently taught two young students to crochet. Watching her explain foundation chains and rows made it clear she isn't just a shop owner -- she's a gifted teacher. Most recently, I brought in gloves I was struggling to finish. She patiently explained the construction in a way my brain could actually process and showed me an alternate method that achieved the same result but was much easier to understand. That kind of support is priceless. Carol consistently shows kindness, patience, and deep knowledge of fiber arts. The shop also carries a huge variety of patterns for knitters and crocheters at every skill level. Parking can feel confusing the first time, but it's easy once you know: there's a lot behind the building -- enter via the driveway to the left of the neighboring house -- plus plenty of street parking. As long as the shop is open, I'll keep coming back. This place feels less like a store and more like a fiber community.

I had some issues with customer service though and left unhappy. There was a small line of three people. I was last. No one using self checkout. No one at the balloon bar. I asked a male worker if someone different is running the bar as I needed my balloons blown up and he said the lady at the register would do it. OK, no problem. I waited in line for my turn. When it was my turn, a woman came to the front and told the lady at the register to take her break. She greeted me and was ready to help me. We planned to start with getting the balloons blown up but the lady going on break said no, she needs to pay first. OK, no problem. The woman helping me told other customers who had formed a line behind me that self checkout was available. We finished checking out and when it was time to blow up my balloons, other customers needed help with self checkout, kept asking questions and she completely stopped assisting me to assist other customers. It was still my turn. She then told me she was going to quickly checkout a woman with a giftcard and someone else would be there to help me because she needed help to blow up the balloons and checkout customers. I let her know I had another place to be and was running behind schedule, that I waited my turn in line and would like her to finish assisting me. She said again that she needed help and wanted me to wait for someone else to come up front. This truly bothered me because why did I need to wait for the additional support opposed to other customers? Not only did I not have extra minutes because I was already in the store longer than expected but it was unfair to expect me to continue waiting to finish. I was made to pay in advance but service was delayed. I left. I returned Saturday morning to return the $20 balloons purchased and used balloons I'd previously purchased instead. Saturday morning customer service was great!
