I grabbed a rose special and was surprised to find out they were charging for filler. See I was an employee at Allen's 10 years ago. So I was just surprised, not bothered to pay it. Holly who was working the register, made zero eye contact and spoke to me like she wished I would leave and our interaction would be over with. The girl in the back, Hailey looked at me complete irritation when I asked if I had met her before. As a former employee, this is completely unacceptable. They should have zero customer service interaction happening. As a customer, I will never be going back to the La Mesa store. Snobby and rude is putting it lightly. I guess one thing I didn't agree with was how much time we have to set up and break down. we had to add 2 extra hours to set up. other than that Brooke and her husband were wonderful hosts and were pretty accommodating. I definitely recommend this venue for parties such as graduation, engagements, baby showers etc. A solid 8/10

I needed flowers to be delivered for a recent loss in my family and was so pleased with the immediate help, friendliness, compassion and professionalism that I received. I was even gifted a choice of a wonderful smelling candle which I'll enjoy for a long time. I hear a coffee shop is going in next door too...great news! It would behoove them to convey a message in both Spanish and English in the future. Unless any English-speaking caller wants to deal with getting past the first hurdle of understanding what they're saying in the first place, I would suggest you look elsewhere. One can only imagine what the end result of your pricey flower arrangement would look like, considering the language barrier. They're shooting themselves in the foot, as this pushes away potential revenue for them. I am certain a small business would want to make money from all walks of life, no??
