Support your local authors and bookstore! What a great bookstore with a wide variety of books. They do a great job helping to find books or order them in. And they support their local authors and try to get them to be integrated into the community. Parking is a little tough but it's doable with circling around and find a spot on the street

What a beautiful store! I was in heaven! They have an extensive selection of items from books, magazines, toys, calendars, stationary... etc! I was delighted by how well organized and clean this store is. They have all of the popular books, and classics as well. Make sure to pay them a visit if you're in the area!

Warwick's in La Jolla is a fun place to shop for a wide selection of eclectic items. They also had a giant chess set outside, all setup and ready for people to play a match. That was a nice touch, extra service. The prices are not the cheapest but they have some really nice items, and as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for, quality is not cheap. There is some street parking on the road right in front of the store, there are also some paid parking garages nearby. It is also a short walk over to the ocean from here. Check out my photos of the store.

Where do you go when you want a solid selection of books, jewelry, and every type of knickknack in between in downtown La Jolla? Warwick's, the oldest bookstore in San Diego. The staff is friendly, and the prices are comparable to other shops in downtown La Jolla.

    Busy on a Saturday.

Warwick's was founded in 1896. Ponder that one. That was 130 years ago. My guess is downtown La Jolla, where the store is located, looked a little different back then. Their website says that Warwick's is the oldest continuously family-owned and operated bookstore in the entire country. It even has a Wikipedia page. So, yeah, it is kind of famous. The store itself is divided into two halves: books on one side, cards, stationary, paper, office supplies, and knickknacks on the other. The different sections in the bookstore are well organized and the place is not that big where you can get lost. The selection is well curated and you can tell these people like books. It is not just another business to them. I am almost always going to buy from a real bookstore, and hopefully an independent one, rather than from a big impersonal online seller, if I can. So, long live Warwick's. Come visit a little slice of history.

One of my favorite bookstores of all San Diego. I like how they decorate the store, the smell, the books they carry and the huge amount of stationary and writing supplies. It is my temptation every time I am walking in downtown La Jolla. Impossible not to get out empty handed. They also do different activities and it is just a pleasant store not chain that still makes us dream of a time when stores were unique and not cookie cutter. Keep it that way!

What a charming store! They have a wide variety of gifts, stationery, art supplies, books, and the like. The staff were very attentive as well.

although they have a great selection of books and cards, I mostly shop here for the stationery. this year was my first time trying a Hobonichi planner. I saw that Warwick's carried them, so I called to ask what designs they had in stock since there are a ton of options. both times I called, the responses felt rushed and not very helpful. I was told they had them in stock, but couldn't get any info on which designs or how many. I ended up driving over twice.. once to find they only had one blue planner left, and later again after a restock because it was too close to the new year to order online. luckily, on my second visit, I did end up with the one I wanted. I love my new planner and prefer supporting local shops, but the customer service around these was a bit frustrating. next year I'll probably just order online or go somewhere else for a better experience.

Warwick's in La Jolla has had a long presence in this community. This shop has every category of books, reference books, the top best sellers, and other things like toys, jewelry, art and office supplies all reasonably priced. It's always neat and organized inside and outside, the shop has nice curb appeal. I always find free street parking out front. As recent as last week, my iphone desperately needed charging and I was no where near home, office or my vehicle to charge it. Luckily, Warwick's happened to have a tech section. With the help of a staffer named Chez, she helped me find the perfect one which included attached plugs for different devices. Chez went out of her way looking at the back room inventory and her pervasiveness in making sure things were compatible was outstanding. Although most staffers are friendly here, this was the first time someone went of their way to go beyond and I appreciate Chez' efforts so much to compel Me to write this review. Although I frequent this shop more often than I care to admit, I value people's efforts and want to highlight that as the premise of this review. Thanks Chez and thanks Warwick's !! Recommend

Wowza! Talk about a place that has IT ALL!! you need not go any further. A beautiful, unique gift shop that just so happens to be a Bookstore as well as a Stationery haven!! I went in yesterday as a part of the San Diego Bookstore Crawl and it was packed (Independent Bookstore weekend) but let me tell you the jewelry, pottery, gorgeous bags, unique bookends, etc. just took my breath away. Staff were friendly and so helpful as they understood we were on a time constraint (we were on buses and only had 30 minutes to peruse). I will be returning when I am in the area again. Respectfully Reviewed.

If you love incense that smells like high-quality candles and not the usual overpowering fragrances, this is the place to go. They have unique scents, minis, and so many little treasures to explore. The highlight of my visit was my session with Arturo. It is honestly hard to put into words how gifted he is. His readings blend tarot, energy work, numerology, and a level of spiritual insight that goes far beyond a typical session. He is incredibly accurate and has a way of seeing into you that feels both grounding and eye-opening. You can feel that he is tuned in the moment he looks at you. We have seen many spiritual workers, mediums, and healers over the years, including well-known ones that had their own TV show. Arturo was just as aligned and consistent as the best of them, especially when it came to past life lineage, soul contracts, and aura interpretation. He picked up so much from even the smallest details, and every one of us walked away blown away. Since my session, I have already sent a friend to see him, and she had the same experience. Arturo is honest, detailed, and extremely thoughtful. He does not rush you or cut things short because the clock hits a certain time. He genuinely cares about delivering the message and sharing what he sees. He also brings humor and warmth into the reading, which makes the whole experience feel safe and uplifting. We all left feeling lighter, more aware, and even joked that seeing Arturo is like having a medium and a therapist all in one. If you are curious or even slightly drawn to it, I truly recommend booking a session. I am sure you will find it more than worth it.

I've never had a tarot reading or even been in a metaphysical bookstore, so wow it was a pretty cool first experience. For anyone looking for a reading, all I can say is if there is such a thing as the real deal (and I believe there is) then Arturo is it. Highly recommend.
