Got to check out the new La Jolla Village Square location this weekend which is a really nice addition to the area. Right next to World Market and the AMC theatre, it's a pretty sizeable location with various sections decorated to the different genres, entertainment, board games and toys and more. There is only one entrance and the layout is straight forward, but there was a lot to look at. Staff were friendly, and the prices are standard as other locations. Thank you for bringing another bookstore to the area.

I was very excited about a new Barnes & Noble but was disappointed to see they don't have a coffee shop inside (at least I couldn't find it) and the seats are super limited. Also it is freezing cold so not sure if this is in purpose so people don't camp there for hours and go and shop. I am so used to the Barnes & Noble in Miramesa, my favorite, as I can have a coffee and read for hours all the international magazines. They don't have that many magazines as I expected, and very few international. It still smells pretty new and there is abundance of books and gifts there. Just I don't think I will like to spend some time there.

Excellent all around, smells like new books

Books, stationery, jewelry, greeting cards, gifts, games, unique party supplies, toys, etc. you can literally spend hours in here. The unique gift ideas are great for people who are hard to find something for. The store is huge and the staff are very helpful. This store is also very dog friendly.

Aside from books, this is one of the best places to shop for stationery and gifts in SD. I've found…read moremany cute gems here over the years, from page flags and stickers to journals and cute lil knick knacks. Admittedly, I usually stop by for everything but their books as that's usually what piques my interest at Warwick's. I've discovered so many cute stationery brands that I've never even heard of, like Girl of All Work's Page Flags and more recently, L'après-midi Travel Journals! The shop is divided into 2 halves. One side carries art/decor and jewelry made by local artists in glass displays, and as you walk further in, you'll see an extensive selection of greeting cards, notebooks, and fountain pens in glass cases. They also carry gift wrapping supplies and assorted bags. The other side carries books and has a cute children's section with plushies, including Jellycats! I do have to say, the service is not always consistent. Some of the employees definitely profile you upon entering, but there are respectable employees that are genuinely eager to help you find what you're looking for! As a local, whenever I'm unable to find something in-stores, an employee happily offers to take down my info so that they can contact me if the item arrives in-stores at some point, which I greatly appreciate. From my experience, the pricing for the stationery is fair, in fact, for some of the items that I've purchased, Warwick's prices are actually lower than what you'd find online. The L'après-midi Travel Journals retail for $18 online from the brand's exclusive US distributor, but Warwick's prices the journals at $13.95! Similarly, the Girl of All Work Page Flags retail for $7 on the brand's website, but at Warwick's, it's $5.99. Parking can be difficult if you're trying to park directly in front of the store or on the main street, but if you drive around a bit, you're likely to find a spot within a reasonable walking distance. All in all, Warwick's remains as a fun shopping destination. If you're anything like me, you'll walk in with no intention to get anything, but will walk out with a shopping bag in hand. :)

So, now that I am a current, remote employee, I like to pick things up for the fam...and for me! ;-) There's quite a huge selection of clothing, hats, pennants, and coffee ware. For my dad, I picked up a dad hat, which he wears often. For my mom, a hoodie and a tote. Not only are the designs cute, prices are reasonable, and are of good quality materials. I recently completed an employee survey and scored a free mini tote, similar to the ones at Trader Joe's! After my shopping spree, I like to head outdoors to lay in the hammocks near the fountain. If you have the inclination, you could easily while away an entire afternoon (or even a day!) just looking at the books. There are nearby eateries, should your blood sugar start to wane.
