If you're looking for a good deal please head over to the Van's on Second Street in El Cajon. It's where we go all the time to get a good deal on some styles. Whatever doesn't sell at the stores will be there, just in case you forgot to get it when you were in the mall. There's clothes also but, not much of a selection or very discounted. If you're in the 'know' then I'm sure you got the inside scoop on the markdowns. Parking is on the street or you can park at the CVS, if you're not staying long. For Anyone who has been a vans family member we just got all of our points erased and reset to zero. They offered a $25 gift card if you have more than 500 points and if you have less you get $0. I had almost 9000 points and they just said they are changing things. I would always save my points and get my daughter some unique items when they came out. Adam is a huge fan of Vans so when we moved to the area and saw that there was a store we knew we had to pay it a visit. This shop is small but has a good variety of shoes. There are some clothing options as well, but I wouldn't come here if you are looking for clothes since there isn't much variety. When we went they were having a great sale making their shoes and even the clothing more affordable than normal. It is easy to pay $20-$40 for a paid of sneakers which is amazing since other brands are up to and over $100 easily. When we went, Adam got a pair of swim trunks for $20. The staff was friendly and young making it easy to connect to them. They were exactly the people I would imagine when conjuring up a representative of this company. If you enjoy a pair of classic, comfy, slip-on Vans then this is the place to go. It's an old, semi-grungy Vans store in El Cajon that doesn't look like much on the outside, but inside, it's filled with awesome and reasonably priced finds. When they have sales you can score yourself a hat and a pair of shoes for about $35, a great deal if you ask me. They have sizes for men, women, and kids (the little baby Vans are so cute they make tear up every time a hold a tiny pair in my hands). I've gotten a few pairs of Vans from here (all for about $30) and they've never let me down. They're so comfortable and last FOREVER. And who doesn't love NOT having to tie their shoes and just slipping into a pair of comfy kicks instead? NO ONE. that's who. The first time I felt uncomfortable one of the guys kept looking at me If I was going to steal a pair of Vans or something this was the first time So then I decide to forget about the whole experience and go again. I've been to the store in the past it's pretty much like an outlet store but the selection is the same you would get at any other vans store. If you're looking for discounts and deals definitely look this place up. For the most part everything in the store is on sale and when you buy the first item you get the second item half off. I bought two pairs of shoes and four shirts huge savings. As always the customer service here is really great and I've never been disappointed coming to this store definitely worth the drive. I've lived in El Cajon for the past 16 years and I cannot believe my first trip to the vans store was just the other day. We were helped by Joey and he didn't disappoint. We brought in 3 kids all under 7 and he was as patient as ever. That kind of customer service always wins in my book. I was able to buy my son 2 pairs of shoes (buy 1 get one 1/2 off) super cheap. Went in to my new school shoes for my grandson and granddaughter and was BLOWN AWAY by the excellent customer service from the young, tatted, pierced young dudes that were working there. I recall a time when I had been there before and having been treated shabbily, decided to not go back. But this time my boy wanted some Vans so off we went. Great prices, great loud music, friendly, helpful service and it was clean. My only suggestion? This place has a very positive vibe to it. I use to come here more when I was younger and not as much now. They always have the buy one get one 50% off. They didn't have a lot of variety of shoes, they just had the main one. Last time I came here I purchased a pair of white vans and blue vans. Bought some Vans shoes from Zappos.com and when they arrived they had mismatched laces that were different from how they were advertised. I went down to the El Cajon Vans shop to buy some replacement laces because I didn't want to deal with an online return. When the guy behind the counter heard my situation he just reached under the counter and gave me three or four packs of laces for free and told me to take them home and try them out! I am giving this store 4 stars because even though they didn't have all shoes in all sizes and it took a while to find what I was looking for, the guy that helped us was awesome because he looked by size in the back not by style and was able to bring out some cute shoes for my girls! One pair of Hello Kitty lace ups for $14.99 (WHAT???) and another pair of HK slip ons for $19.99! I ended up getting 4 pairs at BOGO for back to school and paid $75 with tax included! Can't beat it! Just got my son two pairs of Vans shoes. The classic Vans were not a deal at all...$60, but the 1/2 off the second pair $24.95 made the purchase worth it. The sales guy was very helpful and got my son two different sizes to try out. The cashier (blonde female) was very professional and suggested some cleaning stuff for keeping the shoes looking good. The average for both shoes was $42.50 which is a great price. I would definitely do more back-to-school shopping here! read more

I went in to buy a large quantity of shoes because of their prices and then they were having a buy one get one half price sale. Can't say enough about the store and employees especially Jose who helped me. He was fabulous, professional, answered all my questions and went above and beyond to make sure I got what I wanted and was very professional about it. He devoted his full attention to me and my needs and not in talking to fellow employees like some store employees. At one point I owned 5 retail clothing stores in San Diego and if I had employees like Jose I would still have those stores. I addition to Jose there were 2 girls working there who were extremely helpful and greeted everyone who walked through the door. As a former retail business owner I notice things like that. In addition to a great product at a great discounted price I got wonderful customer service and I will certainly return soon. I might add I have also shopped the Vans outlet store in Orange County and although they were attentive to my needs I didn't get nearly the service I got in El Cajon store.
