New heel

I took a pair of cowboy boots and a pair of hiking boots to this shop for repair. The cowboy boots needed to be reheeled and cleaned up. The hiking boots needed the soles to be glued back on. After paying $70 and waiting a week I went in to pick up my boots and all I can say is... Meh They did an exceptional job reheeling my cowboy boots. However I asked that they also polish them up and make them look nice again. They seemed to have only polished the toes of the boot and left the top untouched. The leather on the upper part of the boots looks dry and there are loose strings. The hiking boots have visible globs of glue. In short, if all you care about is function go here, if you want craftsmanship this is not the place. A little bummed, but happy to have working boots in time for the spring.

Adhesives all over the place

These guys are pretty nice they guarantee there work. I want to thank the man that helped me with my boots You guys did what I can only assume was a rushed job with all the adhesive that was on my boots still. I was given a date almost 2 weeks out when they're going to be finished, I was fine with that because I wanted a good job done. It took them almost a week longer to get a rushed job done. Unfortunately I wanted a wedge and that's not what I got.

I was assisted by Glen and Karlenn, small business and good people to work with. They were able to accommodate my needs at a timely manner.

Friendly service and quick repairs made. I think their pricing is fair but I don't have any other recent shoe repair work to compare it to.

This company has gone downhill since I first did business with them a few years ago. Their website…read moreis nice, their product offerings are nice, but their customer service is wretched! Over a month ago, I ordered two matching Velcro name patches for my flight jacket. G&B's website says turnaround time is usually around two weeks before shipping. Reasonable, I thought. Now, at over FOUR weeks, I'm told that the name patches will likely go out in (you guessed it) another week. During this wait, I was never contacted with updates on my order's progress, when it would now arrive, no acknowledging apology for the longer time it was taking, nothing. The only information I was ever given was when I'D call or email for it, and then I'd get only terse, clipped responses from the customer service reps -- no feeling that I was a valued customer or that they would do what they could to move along the order. What I was curtly told by was that "it's the busy season and we're backed up". I asked what busy season occurred in September but was never given an answer. Additionally, I asked for a courtesy waiver of my shipping costs ($9 for two patches!!) and again did not get this addressed in the reply I got. Lastly, I also found out that the patches are embroidered in a shop down in Mexico, despite G&B presenting itself as a "Made in America" type of company. Lame. Today, I asked to speak to a supervisor and lo and behold I got Claudia, who'd been my apathetic contact in numerous past exchanges. She asked what it was regarding and I repeated my request for a supe. "None are available right now," she told me. I asked when one might be available to speak to. "I don't know," she said. (This was exactly what happened when I last asked for supervisory help a couple of weeks ago). I told her I'd try back another time. A company is only as good as its most forward-facing point of contact, and I've not been wowed at all by this one. Once I get my name patches, I'll be using another company for any future aviation uniform needs. This one apparently can't be bothered to treat its customers with any courtesy or respect.

I actually didn't know they were a local company until the past year or so and I think that's awesome! I got my first belt a few years ago with a buckle and wore it every single day. I really like how customizable their belts are, very easy to set up and they offer plenty of rigidity for those who carry. The only issue I've ever had with any of their products was a stripped screw I believe on my original buckle. I emailed them and would have completely understood if they couldn't replace it since I'd been wearing it for a while, but thought it didn't hurt to ask. Sure enough, they had a replacement buckle to me within a few days. I'm telling you, service doesn't get better than this! For those who are unfamiliar with Kore belts, you can purchase a buckle of which they have many different styles and then you order the belt separately or as a package. They are one size fits all and you cut it down to your waist size before mounting the buckle. I have a few different buckles at this point including a dressier one and they all look great and show very little signs of use or wear. What I love most about this is that you can save money and price together several different belts. For instance, you can purchase a new pattern belt, swap over the buckle and within a few minutes you essentially can have two different belt configurations. A solid two thumbs up for Kore Essentials!

I had dozens of high end couches that were more than 10 years old. These were in a residence halls with some of the toughest customers you can imagine - 17 to 18 year old students! There was paint, nail polish, food, and other stains that had been deemed unrepairable. Turns out the absolute dream team of furniture restoration showed up and brought these pieces back to life! This saved SDSU more than $250,000+ and the sustainability aspect of this project was amazing.

I was devastated but fortunately had a phone number in my file for a Mike Turner from when we bought the sofa sectional 13 years ago. Amazingly, I called the number and was connected to TLC. It was over the weekend but I got a response!! I texted him a picture and he said he would get back to me the following Monday. Fast forward-- I took the sofa cushion in that day, along with another sofa cushion for "color match". Today, Thursday, I picked it up and it is perfect. It looks brand new, like there was never a ballpoint pen near it. I can not rave and recommend Mike and Jonathon (who Mike said did the actual work) highly enough. In addition to the great work they do, they are such nice people. And, although it was such a long drive for me (Carlsbad to Lakeside), the drive on 52 East was beautiful. The purple and green mountains were majestic with no surrounding buildings -- just open space. The sad situation of ballpoint pen scribbling on my sofa was offset by "God moments" -- beautiful scenery, nice people and a very positive outcome of their work.
