Wow! Call Mike and Jonathan right now at Total Leather Care at 619-561-6221. They are the absolute best in Southern California. I had dozens of high end couches that were more than 10 years old. These were in a residence halls with some of the toughest customers you can imagine - 17 to 18 year old students! There was paint, nail polish, food, and other stains that had been deemed unrepairable. Turns out the absolute dream team of furniture restoration showed up and brought these pieces back to life! This saved SDSU more than $250,000+ and the sustainability aspect of this project was amazing. read more

Over Thanksgiving, our 3-year old granddaughter decided to use our white leather sofa as a white board! She scribbled on a back cushion with a ballpoint pen. I was devastated but fortunately had a phone number in my file for a Mike Turner from when we bought the sofa sectional 13 years ago. Amazingly, I called the number and was connected to TLC. It was over the weekend but I got a response!! I texted him a picture and he said he would get back to me the following Monday. Fast forward-- I took the sofa cushion in that day, along with another sofa cushion for "color match". Today, Thursday, I picked it up and it is perfect. It looks brand new, like there was never a ballpoint pen near it. I can not rave and recommend Mike and Jonathon (who Mike said did the actual work) highly enough. In addition to the great work they do, they are such nice people. And, although it was such a long drive for me (Carlsbad to Lakeside), the drive on 52 East was beautiful. The purple and green mountains were majestic with no surrounding buildings -- just open space. The sad situation of ballpoint pen scribbling on my sofa was offset by "God moments" -- beautiful scenery, nice people and a very positive outcome of their work. read more

We have owned two leather chairs for several years. Although the quality of the chairs is very good, we have considered replacing them. But, after shopping and seeing the orices and inferior quality we decided to take another route - leather restoration. Thankfully, that route took us to Total Leather Care. They gave us a very reasonable estimate and finished the job within the two week timeframe the promised. Most important, the chairs came out looking like new! They are going to bring us many more years of pleasure. We highly recommend Total Leather Care. Marti and Jim Shel read more

Thanks Mike and John saving my couch! The couch arm got some grease oil and looked really ugly. Mike told me that he needs to clean it first and recolor it to match the color around. He adjusted the color very carefully. Keep trying the color to make sure it matches the surrounding as close as possible. The job took about 1 hour and the finish looked fantastic. Also, Mike is very punctual and responsive! read more

My new puppy found three pens and chewed them up on my new white leather couch, covering it with nasty ink stains. I was devastated. Mike and Jonathan of Total Leather Care were very conservative in setting expectations. They said they would try to get the stains out. In short, they managed to remove all the ink from my new couch! I am thrilled, and couldn't rate them high enough! I will use Total Leather Care for any leather cleaning needs from now on. Not only are they very professional, but they are very nice! Found TLC online. Our leather furniture was in need of cleaning and possibly color? I didn't want to something drastic. Talking to Mike gave me hope that I could restore our couch. Bill came out for a cleaning and conditioning. Our leather looks like new. It is soft, clean and the color restored. I had no idea we were so rough on our furniture. We thought there was no saving our leather couch but Mike came to our rescue. When he looked at the photos we sent him, he wasn't even sure he could save the cushions, but when we picked it up a week later they looked brand new. It was expensive, but as I said, it looks like a brand new couch. Thank you Mike read more

Somehow our couch ended up with a horrific oval of removed color. It wasn't a stain...like something was on the leather. Instead, it was more like whatever was on the cushion melted through the color. We have no idea what it came from, but needless to say were disappointed with the new flaw on our couch. Arizona Leather referred us to Mike. Mike responded quickly and, like magic, fixed up our couch cushion. You'd never know the spot was there unless you knew where to look. Thanks for a great job Mike. Wouldn't hesitate to use him again...but hope we don't need to! read more

What a great service. They did what I thought was impossible. They restored a badly soiled sectional to like new condition.

My cat fell off the back of my husband's pride and joy leather recliner couch and left a horribly long and deep scratch. With 3 boys and 3 animals in the home we knew that in time the scratch would become a large tear. I finally found TLC after calling around for someone who specialized in leather repair. Mike returned my call in less than a few hours. He was professional and easy to talk to. The day of the appt. Larry called and stated he could arrive early if I was available. He arrived promptly and explained everything that he was going to do. Within an hour my husbands couch was mended. He even left me the remaining leather color that he had mixed so that I could do more "touch-ups" to other blemishes down the road. We are very, very happy with our refurbished leather couch & loveseat. Our expensive Braddington-Young furniture had faded dramatically and had some cat scratches, but was still very sturdy and comfortable so we didn't want to replace it. Mike made the scratches disappear and refinished the leather to a rich navy blue color that looks even better than the original finish. Mike was very responsive, timely, and courteous and we highly recommend his quality work. read more

My husband bought a beautiful leather chair in Boston more than 25 years ago. It was showing its age, and the leather was cut. I brought the cushion and ottoman to Total Leather Care for re-leathering. The color and texture match is perfect, and the repair is excellent. The cushion and ottoman was delivered on time - which was very important to me. This chair is the most used seat in our home. I highly recommend Total Leather Care! read more

We contacted Mike, the owner of Total Leather Care and he returned our call in less than 24 hours. He was very professional, honest and easy with which to communicate. He asked that we send him pictures via email of what needed to be done. He was not sure that the sofas were able to be repaired/re-stained due to condition, and yet still remained optimistic. We set up a time for his company to come out and try to fix the small tears and re-stain. We had tried to do it ourselves with horrible results and so they had to strip old mess and then re stain. Our Lazy Boy Queen Sofa along with recliner looks like a brand set and we are just thrilled. They mixed the color on site at our home ( they also will pick up and do in shop) and the "color match" was almost a perfect match to our original color. Found the company on Angie's list. This company was just marvelous. Will recommend in the future. This is the real deal and you won't go wrong calling for an estimate. Linda L. read more

My only disappointment is that I'm not able to give Mike and his team more than 5 stars! After accidentally staining a friend's beautiful leather chair with an ink pen, TLC completely saved the day. Not only was Mike's customer service excellent in working out payment and scheduling but his work was fantastic. The leather has a unique color texture which I was afraid would be difficult to correct. However, Mike did an amazing job and my friends are absolutely elated with the final result. In fact, they indicated that they will be using TLC for all of their leather furniture needs in the future. Also the cost was very reasonable and based on my experience, TLC will be my first call for any of my own leather needs as well. Thanks again to Mike and his team! read more
