Over Thanksgiving, our 3-year old granddaughter decided to use our white leather sofa as a white board! She scribbled on a back cushion with a ballpoint pen. I was devastated but fortunately had a phone number in my file for a Mike Turner from when we bought the sofa sectional 13 years ago. Amazingly, I called the number and was connected to TLC. It was over the weekend but I got a response!! I texted him a picture and he said he would get back to me the following Monday. Fast forward-- I took the sofa cushion in that day, along with another sofa cushion for "color match". Today, Thursday, I picked it up and it is perfect. Thanks Mike and John saving my couch! The couch arm got some grease oil and looked really ugly. Mike told me that he needs to clean it first and recolor it to match the color around. He adjusted the color very carefully. Keep trying the color to make sure it matches the surrounding as close as possible. The job took about 1 hour and the finish looked fantastic. Somehow our couch ended up with a horrific oval of removed color. It wasn't a stain...like something was on the leather. Instead, it was more like whatever was on the cushion melted through the color. We have no idea what it came from, but needless to say were disappointed with the new flaw on our couch. We contacted Mike, the owner of Total Leather Care and he returned our call in less than 24 hours. He was very professional, honest and easy with which to communicate. He asked that we send him pictures via email of what needed to be done. He was not sure that the sofas were able to be repaired/re-stained due to condition, and yet still remained optimistic. We set up a time for his company to come out and try to fix the small tears and re-stain. We had tried to do it ourselves with horrible results and so they had to strip old mess and then re stain. Our Lazy Boy Queen Sofa along with recliner looks like a brand set and we are just thrilled. My only disappointment is that I'm not able to give Mike and his team more than 5 stars! After accidentally staining a friend's beautiful leather chair with an ink pen, TLC completely saved the day.
