POV showing my Tier1 Concealed appendix rig
Joey B.

It's only been a week but so far I'm loving this belt. It's the only belt I've found that stabilizes my heavy (4+ lbs.) Tier 1 appendix rig. Wish I'd tried this belt sooner.

Bought this belt from Kore on black friday last year for myself and it still looks like the day I got it. I used to destroy my belts in 2 to 3 months but this belt is tough. The way you can adjust in and out in 1/4 inch intervals is fantastic. Never had a belt fit this perfect before. My only regret is not buying one sooner.

Long "Belt Rant" My first "Gun Belt" was a Hanks The Gunner, which was a great belt. Nice and sturdy with a 99 year warranty but was always just a little loose or tight. When the ratcheting gun belts came out I thought I'd try one. About 2 years ago I got a black Kore Essentials ratcheting belt and loved it. The adjustability is amazing, never too loose or too tight, ill never go back to a traditional belt again. My only complaint was that it was very thin and dressy looking (despite being thin, still very strong). I decided it was time for a brown ratcheting belt. I checked the other leading manufacturers for a thick brown belt with a buckle I liked. I didn't find anything that I really loved on any of their sites. Last week I ran into the area Kore Essentials sales rep Robert Hansen and had a great conversation with him. Turns out they've added a lot of options since I got my first Kore belt. They now have thick Buffalo leather belts in black and brown and they have many new buckle styles (including a Rodeo "western" style). I got my new brown Buffalo belt with the Rodeo buckle and I am VERY impressed. It is everything I was looking for and more. Now I'm gonna order the same one in black to replace my dressy one. I highly recommend you check these belts out, they are worth every penny and you won't regret it!

This company has gone downhill since I first did business with them a few years ago. Their website…read moreis nice, their product offerings are nice, but their customer service is wretched! Over a month ago, I ordered two matching Velcro name patches for my flight jacket. G&B's website says turnaround time is usually around two weeks before shipping. Reasonable, I thought. Now, at over FOUR weeks, I'm told that the name patches will likely go out in (you guessed it) another week. During this wait, I was never contacted with updates on my order's progress, when it would now arrive, no acknowledging apology for the longer time it was taking, nothing. The only information I was ever given was when I'D call or email for it, and then I'd get only terse, clipped responses from the customer service reps -- no feeling that I was a valued customer or that they would do what they could to move along the order. What I was curtly told by was that "it's the busy season and we're backed up". I asked what busy season occurred in September but was never given an answer. Additionally, I asked for a courtesy waiver of my shipping costs ($9 for two patches!!) and again did not get this addressed in the reply I got. Lastly, I also found out that the patches are embroidered in a shop down in Mexico, despite G&B presenting itself as a "Made in America" type of company. Lame. Today, I asked to speak to a supervisor and lo and behold I got Claudia, who'd been my apathetic contact in numerous past exchanges. She asked what it was regarding and I repeated my request for a supe. "None are available right now," she told me. I asked when one might be available to speak to. "I don't know," she said. (This was exactly what happened when I last asked for supervisory help a couple of weeks ago). I told her I'd try back another time. A company is only as good as its most forward-facing point of contact, and I've not been wowed at all by this one. Once I get my name patches, I'll be using another company for any future aviation uniform needs. This one apparently can't be bothered to treat its customers with any courtesy or respect.

I had dozens of high end couches that were more than 10 years old. These were in a residence halls with some of the toughest customers you can imagine - 17 to 18 year old students! There was paint, nail polish, food, and other stains that had been deemed unrepairable. Turns out the absolute dream team of furniture restoration showed up and brought these pieces back to life! This saved SDSU more than $250,000+ and the sustainability aspect of this project was amazing.

I was devastated but fortunately had a phone number in my file for a Mike Turner from when we bought the sofa sectional 13 years ago. Amazingly, I called the number and was connected to TLC. It was over the weekend but I got a response!! I texted him a picture and he said he would get back to me the following Monday. Fast forward-- I took the sofa cushion in that day, along with another sofa cushion for "color match". Today, Thursday, I picked it up and it is perfect. It looks brand new, like there was never a ballpoint pen near it. I can not rave and recommend Mike and Jonathon (who Mike said did the actual work) highly enough. In addition to the great work they do, they are such nice people. And, although it was such a long drive for me (Carlsbad to Lakeside), the drive on 52 East was beautiful. The purple and green mountains were majestic with no surrounding buildings -- just open space. The sad situation of ballpoint pen scribbling on my sofa was offset by "God moments" -- beautiful scenery, nice people and a very positive outcome of their work.

I searched the internet for the best leather alteration businesses. I went to some to ask if they could do the job on this type of leather (roughout leather) and they gave me the "hmmm... yea I could do it" and charged a large number. One place even quoted me $135... San Diego Sewing Concepts was 4th on my list and when I showed up Armando helped me out. When I asked if he could do the job, he did not hesitate for a second and said he absolutely could and has years of experience with leather. It's a small business but Armando's expertise and his explanation of how he'd do the work gave me confidence that I was in the right place. As I wore the jacket, he adjusted the sleeve, measured, made sure I liked the length, and marked with chalk. He quoted me a very reasonable price, and that was the amount I paid in the end. Armando finished the job in 2-3 days. When I returned to pick up my jacket I was sooooo happy with the result! It was perfect. He shortened the sleeves by exactly 2.25 inches, as he had measured initially. I inspected the sleeves and there was no noticeable ugly markings or indication that it had been altered. I ended up purchasing the jacket in a another color and brought it here to get the same job done. Once again, Armando delivered, a quick and flawless job!
