Excellent place and fantastic workmanship! Puppie is a great guy and his shop is classic. He caters to military, LEOs, firefighters and other first responders. He resewed a leather name tag on my leather flight jacket on the spot and beautifully, even doing a tricky part so the liner inside can still zip in. He makes all kinds of custom upgrades. A classic cool character in a quirky, fun shop. Go there!

I hardly ever write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience I had today with Stonehedge Leather Company. First off, Eric is GOOD PEOPLE! I found this old wallet that my late mother owned when going thru all of her things. I hadn't seen it in years, last memory of it was her getting money out of it to buy TAB soda (Thats before Diet Coke came around) with it . I told him I needed to get a missing stud reinstalled so it would snap into the socket and keep the change pocket closed. Eric stopped what he was doing from beforehand and basically said to come back in ten minutes and it would be done.I came back to get it and he didn't charge me anything and even put some leather conditioner on it, giving it some new life! The wallet turned out great! Like I said Eric is good people and does great work. I highly recommend Stonehedge Leather Company!!

Leather bands? Not sure what the terminology is for these but perfect for bracelets & crafting!

Stumbled upon this leather shop as I was taking a stroll around the beach with my boyfriend one Friday afternoon. We saw that there were leather scraps for sale & a ton of other cool tools for sale so we walked right on in. Eric was amazingly friendly & we had a great conversation about the joys of artisan crafts + being an artist, free to create at will. I recently purchased a watch for myself but I have tiny kid-size wrists which makes finding a suitable watch that doesn't slide around quite difficult for me. So I figured why not see if I could get a hole punched while we were there. Eric said he didn't have the exact leather punch but could still make a new hole for me. Didn't look too noticeably different from the other holes on the strap & it made it 100x better for me to wear my watch! He also did this out of the kindness of his heart & out of the joy of getting to do a job he LOVES, so that was awesome! Drop by for all your leather inquisitions or just to have a great chat ;) Main takeaway: If you can visualize it, Eric can make it happen!!

My husband wanted to emboss his wallet and after calling several places all over San Diego the gentleman at Stonehedge was finally able to help us & let me tell you he did a WONDERFUL JOB! My husband being super picky with his leather goods was beyond delighted with the way his wallet looked. I highly HIGHLY recommend this place we will definitely be going back with any other leather goodies we buy.

Hand made in 2 days. Very happy how it turned out, thanks Eric!

This last Halloween I wanted to make a chubaca costume for my dog( she's a goldendoodle so I only needed the sash),when to Stonehedge leather company and Eric totally took care of me. He taught me that if you can make it out of cardboard and tape ,you can make it out to of leather! Two days later my dog looked ready to ride shotgun in the Fulcon. If to have a project your thinking about starting, start here.

Everyone in the shop was super friendly and courteous, the customer service was excellent, and the price and turnaround time were both reasonable. Not only did Steve repair the stitching on the strap of my bag, which was detaching, he added matching brass rivets and reinforced the inside with matching leather so that the connection points were stronger and the strap would be more secure. It looks better now than it did when it was new! I am an artist myself, and somewhat picky about these things, and the quality of the workmanship was flawless. I will not hesitate to come in again if I need leatherwork!

I brought the bag in and we looked at what the issue was.. the thread was coming undone where the strap was being secured to the bag.. we agreed to put in a single black rivet on each side to match and secure the strap.. told me it'd be about 15 minutes. I came back and he put in three on each side which was a bit strange.. I noticed they were uneven and they even scratched the front of the bag under the flap.. talked to him about that then he apologized and tried to buff it out.. paid the man and walked out because I was already upset about the quality of work done.. on the way out noticed that he actually spliced the leather on the side right where the stitching was coming undone so now it's even worse than before because that entire piece of leather is no longer securing the strap.. almost the same exact issue I came in to solve but worse because he would have to fully take it apart to fix it.. seems sneaky to me.. just felt like they were trying to get more money out of me and the job he did do was very inadequate .. definitely no pride in their craftsmanship... got my money back and said I was going somewhere else! very upset because I'd like to regularly support local businesses... went in there based on the great reviews they had specifically about their craftsmanship no matter how small the job. makes you think about going to bigger companies with actual standards... if zero was an option, I'd put that instead..

They have phone cases for all types of cellphones, which is nice because some places that you visit only have phone cases for iPhones. I have an iPhone 7 Plus and I was very impressed at the selection of phone cases available. I used to have a Samsung and I was equally as impressed that they had cases for them, as well. Their prices are high, no doubt; especially for a phone case. They were all $29 for a case. I wished they were a little bit cheaper or had a special deal or something if you buy more than one case. I would have loved to buy 2 or 3, but I couldn't see spending almost $90 on 3 phone cases. I did however buy 2 cases; one for my son since he did a great job taking care of his sisters while I was on my trip. The prints on them were really cool. From Marilyn Monroe and Jimi Hendrix to different city scenes in New York, San Francisco, Paris, and San Diego to graffiti scenes, etc. They had wallets and credit card holders that had some of the same scenes, as well as bags, leather magnets, leather key chains, shirts, print art and even skateboards. The cheapest thing in there was the phone case. They do have a Yelp check-in offer for 10% off your purchase, but the cashier didn't enter it right. I even showed him on the receipt that it says the total discount is 5%, not 10%, but he gave me some lame explanation saying he took 5% off of each case, when in fact he only took 2.5% off of each case. I didn't want to stand there and teach math and haggle over the issue, so I let it go. Either way, the most important thing was to get something for my son and I achieved that.

I work in Customer service, so i know what it takes to be in this kind of work enviorment. Karla, one of their few great employees, is probably the best one there! Probably the best I have ever known! Everytime I've walked in there i am greeted with a smile and a Hello, and she always asks how im doing and ive seen her ask people where they are from (its a touristy area) which goes to show how much they care for their customer experience. There are a lot of choices here for art, their theme is very contemporary and modern, and like the name suggests it has many pieces inspired by street artwork. Thankfully the wonderful miss Karla was willing and able to help with my search for a great item. Her knowledge of the store and placement was astounding. She helped me get a wallet/card holder that had California on it. It was a great choice, my friends are always telling what a nice wallet it is, and to be honest its pretty great What sold me for this place was the service and people working there. Some places just forget the whole customer experience, not this place though. Karla just gave me hope for this world that there are still genuinely amazing people out there.

And began to notice my soles would slip from the ground especially when I would start reversing my bike into a parking stall. Although I'm not at all a gravel type kinda gal- but the slightest ricks on pavement would freak me out while pushing my bike back into a stall. Not trying to lose control of my custom painted motorcycle while looking cool, ya know? LOL I've heard so many great things about Bonita Shoe Repair, but, I wanted to see their past reviews on re soling motorcycle boots. Although the one I read, think it was from Yelp- wasn't as current- but, when I made a post on my socials for recommendations- plenty of my friends in the moto community spoke highly of BSR. I didn't wanna buy a new pair. Not that cost was an issue. It's just that would mean I would need to literally break into new leather. And I didn't wanna do that! When I walked in and met Erica- she was amazing! We chatted for a bit and she showed me two types of motorcycle soles. She had the Vibram catalog and I preferred a sole with some meaty tread. I dropped off my summer motorcycle boots and wasn't in a rush for pick up, since I had a pair of winter insulated motorcycle boots at home. The price was very reasonable- about $100?, if I remember correctly. Erica sent me a text the day before the suggested pick up date, and asked if this other date would work. Which was fine with me, for the lil delay. Because like I said, I wasn't in a rush. But, the fact she communicated with me in advance and apologized for the delay, goes a long way. Definitely satisfied with the service. If memory serves me right- I saw a car cover at the shop that they were walking on. And I could swear, they even fix back pack zippers? But, definitely call ahead for other services they could provide! Thank you so much, Erica!

I contacted another cobbler first, told to send photos, waited for callbacks, called them again and got vague answers about how delicate the leather was and how cleaning it could spread the stain... they said they'll think of ways on what to do and call me back and then never heard back again. Thankfully, I found Chito's Shoe Repair online and reached out by text with photos of my bag. Within 5 minutes, they responded and asked me to call. Jenny spoke with me personally and was incredibly patient, kind, and reassuring. She didn't make unrealistic promises, but she took the time to explain that she wouldn't fully know the outcome until she saw the bag in person. I was extremely stressed, and her honesty mixed with compassion immediately made me feel better. What truly amazed me was that even though the only time I could get there was after their hours, Jenny still accommodated me and allowed me to bring the bag in. That level of kindness and care is rare. When I arrived, she carefully inspected the bag and walked me through exactly what her cleaning process would be. She explained everything in detail and set realistic expectations while still making me feel hopeful. At that point, I honestly thought I may have ruined my bag permanently.. especially because in my panic, I had already tried a few things myself that probably made the stain worse. Two days later, I picked up my bag and it looked like NOTHING had ever happened. I genuinely could not believe it. The stain was gone, and my bag looked beautiful again. What stood out even more was how much Jenny genuinely cared about educating me. She taught me about leather care, explained how leathers react , and even gave me advice on a wallet project I was trying to fix myself. She wasn't trying to upsell me or push me to bring everything in for repair -- she actually wanted me to understand how to care for my own items. That says so much about her character and integrity. I also met her husband Chris, and together they are just wonderful people. Warm, knowledgeable, honest, and clearly passionate about what they do. I'm beyond grateful I found someone I can truly trust with my luxury pieces. Thank you again, Jenny and Chris, for saving my bag and for treating me with so much kindness throughout the entire process!
