My experience at Nancy's Alterations was unfortunately very disappointing. As a first time customer, I felt discriminated against and treated unfairly. The owner's behavior was quite rude she repeatedly questioned whether I would pay and insisted on cash payments despite initially agreeing to debit card payment. This experience left me feeling unwelcome, and I wouldn't recommend this shop, especially if you're African American. I also visited Mrs. Best Alterations after, and they were the sweetest people ever. They didn't give me any problems and helped me in under five minutes, which was a completely positive experience. read more

We went there for one easy task -- to sew the patches in the center. Nothing complicated was required. I thought anyone could do that if they had a ruler and knew how to measure the center. Even the old marks from the previous patches were far from the new patches. She removed the old patches from the jacket and sewed the new ones two inches crooked. read more

we took 3 pairs of pants to have them hemmed and taken in, all three pairs where hemmed but not at the right length and no of the 3 pairs where taken in she even had a whole week to do the alterations. we have used Nancy's before and she did good job but this time she dropped the ball. I do not recommend this place. For what they did, we where over charged. read more

The lady does a good job, downfall is your paying in cash and she failed to let me know this the day I dropped off my items.

I went here with my friend who is visually impaired. When we entered with her guide dog, the lady working there told us the dog needed to wait outside. When I told her it's a guide dog and she needed to stay with my friend, the lady started fake coughing and pretending she was having an allergic reaction. When my friend explained that the dog is a standard poodle and is hypo-allergenic and wouldn't trigger an allergy, the woman continued to fake cough and wave her hand in front of her face. She was extremely rude and disrespectful to us. We attempted to explain the need for the guide dog but she kept fake coughing and continued to be rude. We tried to explain ADA regulations, but she did not listen. Pretty sure she violated The American Disability law. We obviously didn't give her our business nor ever will. read more

I have been coming to Ms. Nancy for about 7 years now. I was recommended to her by a lady at a clothing boutique because I needed some pants hemmed up for me for a concert the next night. Ms. Nancy had them done by the next afternoon with no extra charge! I was ecstatic as my other place I used to go would charge like $10+ for that service, IF they could even do it. I came to Nancy with my wedding gown I had just received and I was leaving for my wedding the next day. My dress fit-almost. Nancy added a hook above zipper in back of gown, and a couple extra loops as back of gown was draw string style. I have been going to Nancy for 15 years and I don't know what I would do without her. She is quick, the cheapest around and I have always left feeling satisfied. When they were doing construction on the entire strip mall and she was out for a few months and I had a very hard time finding someone who matched her quality and prices. I've had a few pair of jeans altered here, great job, if you want the original stitching look, it's a little bit more, but worth it!

Found this on yelp and wanted to try it out. Hours open are good. I took in 2 pants to hem around a Tuesday and she said she would have them ready by Friday, so super convenient! Once I picked them up the work was well done! Pricing was great too, I paid $12 for both pants, one needed special sewing and the other just cutting. Will come back! read more

If I could give this place a zero, I most definitely would. The woman was EXTREMELY rude from the second I walked in. I showed her the pair of scrub pants that I needed to be fitted and she said "no, that's too much work. You shouldn't have bought them so big" and then shewed me out. A very frustrating and disturbing first and last visit to Nancy's. I began to tell her my needs but in broken English she continued interrupting, insisting she already knew what I wanted and there was no need to even try on. Regardless, I did try on. Her original measurements were off and what she did fix had to be corrected and was resewn. in a sloppy way. I left with less than quality alterations.
