I wasn't impressed with the in-store customer service. The gentleman who initially helped us passed us off to a lady without any explanation, then immediately went on to help another customer and was noticeably much friendlier with them. I thought that was a bit rude. The lady that then helped us seemed a bit annoyed. Both he and the lady who assisted my son seemed short and not very welcoming throughout the process. That said, my son rented a tux for prom, and it arrived on time and fit perfectly, which I'm thankful for. Pricing? Couldn't tell you in comparison to others, but I can say this... This is apparently my fourth rental from this particular Friar Tux. When it is time to get a little bougie, this team is the way to go. It isn't all that clear when you walk in (when there is a small crowd) that a QR code exists on a small stand near one of the two entrances. Find that, sign in, and grab a wall for a small wait. Typically staffed with around two to four people, and anywhere from one person to a herd of prom aged teens, your wait might be a minute. But good news, the QR code will send a text right to your device when it's your turn - so go outside, enjoy the air, touch grass. When your turn comes up, you may be as lucky as I and have David fitting you. David worked with three groups simultaneously on a busy day while his colleagues assisted similar sized groups. With all the hustle, David remained professional with a great attitude and smile and worked the groups easily. Fitting each of us in order - he could have shown Mr. Ford a thing or two with his precision. I am happy to rent from FT, and have yet to find myself heading to one of their competitors for a second look or because they could not accommodate my needs. I'm a fan~! I will say the groomsmen's suits and tux looked really nice! None of them had a problem with fit and there was a good selection of colors to choose from. That being said it was REALLY expensive just to rent. (At least $200 for each suit). I've never rented so I don't know how much it cost but I feel like I could have explored my options more. BIG CON: I paid a lot of money for my son's rental ($180) and they measured him and everything. When I go to pick up it doesn't fit! They just tell me well he is small and this is the smallest we have! Ok then you should have said something when I was trying to rent it. That just seemed really dishonest and like they wanted to get more money out of me. I could have picked something equally as nice on Amazon for $40 that would have fit him a lot better. I need to used safety pins just to get it to fit. I was really upset about this. BIG PRO: one groomsman backed out 4 days before the wedding and they were able to accommodate a last minute switch. This groomsman was never measured so it didn't matter but still that was nice they were able to get us in so quickly. PRO: again, the colors and the guys looked great. CON: expensive ; don't rent for younger kids. Just get cheaper online. Not a lot of color choices for kids either. Side note: the ties in the picture were not from Friar tux, I bought those separately on Etsy. read more

Customer service was excellent when renting a suit for my son. It was rush hour, and the employees made the process go quite smoothly. We got a teeny discount. Upon arrival to pick up the suit, the neck too tight ( wasn't measured quite right) so they offered an extender for the top button of the LS shirt... kind of a bummer to not have a well- fitted shirt. Expensive $$$$ ... so be ready for $200+ for a one- night rental. Would use again, unless we opt to simply buy a men's suit next time. read more

We have literally been going here for years. The service has taken a dive! My son and I went in on Saturday and checked in but people were called before us, people who did not have an appt then we were told to book an appt because it was going to be a long wait. Well we went home after being there 1.5 hours and tried numerous times to make an appt on their website only to be told to call the shop. No one ever answers... I came here with my fiancé and best man to look at suit options for our upcoming wedding this year. Online it said the store opened at 11am. The sign on the door also said so as well.
