I've been to ACE a few times now. The store is always clean and orderly. Each time I was greeted and treated with care and respect. The staff is super friendly and jumps right in getting me fitted with just the right size, and/or answering my questions. They measured me on the spot, send them out for tailoring, and pickup within a few days. I had to come back to order additional uniforms bc of weight gain. No questions, just smiles and great customer service. On this note, I used the email system for a couple of questions and ACE staff got back to me right away - completing my request. Nice supply of product and the go to for LE equipment. However, they are notoriously short staffed and it's difficult to get assistance. I was told to try on my uniform and then the lady would measure me for alterations. When I came out of the dressing room, she vanished for 10 minutes. So I just changed back into my regular clothes without being measured, purchase the uniforms and went straight to California Uniform to get measured for alterations immediately. Horrible experience. items were always late. items were always the wrong size especially name tags. ordered five pants and had one of the guys mark off the pants leg on one to get them all hemmed. only one was hemmed. name tag spot on uniforms were placed on breast pocket for some reason. overall terrible experienc. go to cal uniforms instead. read more

I like this store but after yesterday's experience not as much as I did. 30 minutes before I clock in, but I had to go in to buy a new pair of work pants. Was unable to get the immediate help that I wanted but when I finally did get assistance it made me feel like I was being punked. The only female worker I saw working & maybe four men. I told her I will be needing dark navy blue tactical pants after going where the pants was. I let her know my size 14-16 women but she deliberately handed me four pair of pants that fit a 3X+ person. I picked up the smallest pair, letting her know that the others were entirely too big. After trying the pants on I did not take them off because I was on my way to work and needed to wear them so I took the tags off and went to pay for them. As soon as she saw me come out of the dressing room. She said oh What happened? The pants didn't work. I said of course they did only because they're smaller than the other ones, she heckled. Knowing that I was running late, she suggested that I trade the pants that I had on for a smaller pair. At that time, I thought she thought that I was stupid. I said if I change them I will be late, she heckled again. I went ahead and bought the pants, but I am really upset because they are not my size and I need to return them due to her customer service skills she failed at giving me my correct size.that I asked for. Even if she thought I was bigger than the size I gave her it was not her decision to give me any other size. I will be dealing with this matter further. read more
