It was not as creamy as I expected it to be and the napa cabbage seemed to make up the majority of the pot. I would not get this one again. As for service, I did not have any issues. Fell in love with the affordable concept of having your own hot pot with the things you like to eat in it. It was only $13 a pot and a side of rise. So much food I had to take it to go. Fast forward many many years later came back to socal and found multiple locations in and around the area, came to this place. Now each hot pot starts at $19 and up. We got a large pot to share. This is review is more geared towards the owner/investors. Please train the hostess. Our party of 5 checked in before a party of 4. We were finally seated (ie. We entered the restaurant a few minutes) AFTER that party of 4 had already exited the restaurant. We have 3 small children with us; child discrimination? That party of 4 only had 1 child with them. We waited almost 45 minutes. We mentioned something to the host after we noticed parties of 4, 3, or 2 checking in after us. It being seated after us. When we finally entered there were 3 cleared and set groups of tables. Additionally, the table(s) next to us, was already cleared and we saw them push the tables together (4+2) so a part of 6 was seated shortly thereafter. How infuriating --the hostess had told us earlier that they can't move tables around to accommodate our party of 5 when we inquired. Another infuriating observation was that they sat a party of 5 consisting of 1 child at a table ( 2 small tables with an end chair). The host had told us earlier that they couldn't do a similar configuration for us. Just a general observation but table turnover should be improved; win-win for improved wait time and opportunity for profits. A friend ordered the Hot Beef dish for me. It was a big serving! The broth was non-spicy and there was an extra bowl of vermicelli on the side. This bowl had a lot of sliced beef, tofu, corn, Napa, seafood mushroom, pork meatball, tomato, fish cake (that has IBP on it), imitation crab, fried tofu skin, green onions and cilantro. Long wait time as this spot is pretty popular. The best time to be here is when they open at 11am. If you miss the first seating, then expect to wait for the next one around 12:30 or so. I always order the Lamb which is not gamey and much better tasting that their house special or beef. Trust me.
