多汁无骨鸡肉煲套餐 / Yellow Braised Chicken (Boneless)

I've always seen this place whenever I stop by for Chicha, but I'm so glad I was able to finally try it! I brought my dad here since it's probably something he would like. Walking in, it's a very casual joint with a few seatings, but definitely enough. Especially how quick they serve the food here. This restaurant is also a bit more modern, so it's may be more technologically advance for Chinese elders. You order through the phone and checkout on the phone; however, I'm sure the server will help order too since they're proficient with Chinese. My dad ordered a braised pork rib bowl and I ordered a boneless yellow chicken with medium spicy. I wasn't sure what to expect, since it was my first time trying this. Our bowls were served quick and each entree comes with a bowl of rice. I only really tried my own, which was the yellow chicken and it was pretty good! It has a herbally taste to it, but it's quite flavorful. Portions are great as well. I tired the pork and it was really soft and tender, my dad really enjoyed this one a lot. We will visit here next time for a quick and easy meal.

I have just revisit my favorite Chinese Stone pot restaurant providing fresh ingredients cooked daily. I ordered the same dishes which I have tried before. They were so delicious. Service is always superb! Restaurant is very clean. They earned my five stars rating again!

I come visit here all the time! My favorite is the Yellow Braised Pork Ribs. It comes with potato and broccoli. The whole pot is seasoned well and made perfectly. The meat is soft so it falls right of the bones. The potatoes are steamed well and flavorful! I also recommend the shredded potatoes which is a cold dish; it is slightly spicy and crunchy. Recommend this as a great local restaurant!

I've seen Ikka many times since it's in a popular plaza, but I never tried it until recently. One night, when I couldn't decide on what to eat (the real struggle, iykyk), I decided to give it a shot. Came around 6:30 PM, and it was busy, but I snagged a small table in the corner--solo diner advantage! The concept is simple: they serve a variety of braised items in sizzling stone pots. I ordered the braised chicken and intestines pot, medium spicy, along with a side dish of cucumber, woodear, and tofu skin. The side was refreshing, but nothing special. When the pot arrived, it was sizzling hot, and the sauce was delicious--savory with just the right amount of spice. The chicken was tender, and the intestines were perfectly cooked. This is definitely the kind of dish that begs for a couple of bowls of rice! Overall, I was pleasantly surprised and can't wait to come back to try another pot. I'll definitely be adding this to my rotation.

The pots all came sizzling hot! My favourite was the chicken and pork intestines pot, since the chicken was juicy and the pork intestines were not smelly at all. Really liked beef and potato pot also~ the potato slices were very flavourful. The lamb pot was good as the lamb was not overly gamey. The golden soup with beef was decent, but it was a bit too salty for my liking and only had a few slices of beef. The side dishes were good~ we liked the shredded potato and seaweed. Restaurant was clean and service was efficient.

What a neat new find! We got the popular Yellow Braised Chicken, as well as the new Xingjiang Golden Tomato with Pork, which is perfect for folks who like tomato. Both were delicious, and a nice combo of contrasting flavors. We look forward to being back!

My wife loves hot pot and various soup type dishes, but we saw that this "sizzling pot" restaurant was slightly different than a standard hot pot establishment. I came here with my wife for dinner to see what it was like. The AC was not on fully, so it was definitely a bit on the warmer side. It's a small hole in the wall restaurant and the service was decent. I ended up getting the boneless chicken and added a sous vide egg. My wife got the braised chicken with pork intestines. The chicken was quite tasty and the sauce was nice. The pot came with a big bowl of rice. The sous vide egg that I paid extra for, definitely complimented the chicken and the rice. The serving size was just enough for me, and I did not have any leftovers. Overall it's a solid restaurant, nothing amazing but definitely worth a try.

    Yellow braised pork trotters
    Diana C.

You can always count on me to order pork trotters whenever it's on the menu, and @ikka_sizzling_pot has a deliciously quick version, where they braise all of their meat in clay pots and are ready in only 5-10 minutes! In addition to the tasty flavor, pork trotters also provide you with collagen (benefits include maintaining healthy skin, relieving joint paint, and contributing to muscle gain) Cold side dishes and soups are also a must to balance with the very hot (temperature wise) main entrees. Bonus: spice levels can be customized for their sizzling dishes We had: Bone-In Yellow Braised Chicken, Yellow Braised Pork Trotter (bone-in), Cold Mixed Shredded Potato & Carrot, Cold Tribute Vegetables, Tremella & Pear Soup

My wife and I were visiting San Gabriel from Northern California, looking for regional Chinese dishes we hadn't tried before. On a recent trip to Southeast Asia, we had a long layover in Shanghai, where we sampled local dishes that completely changed the way we thought about Chinese cuisine. We realized there was so much more depth and variety than we had ever experienced, and we hoped to find something similar here in Southern California. San Gabriel did not disappoint -- the area is packed with incredible restaurants showcasing different Chinese regional specialties. We chose Ikka Sizzling Pot because it reminded me of the flavors and dishes we had fallen in love with in Shanghai, and I was hoping to relive that excitement. We ordered the chicken with intestines, the lamb, and the pork ribs. Normally, when dining at Chinese restaurants in Northern California, I bring my own Thai bird's eye chilies because no matter how spicy I ask for, it's rarely enough. But not at Ikka. The food was packed with bold flavors and just the right amount of heat -- enough to work up a good sweat. I also noticed a light numbing sensation in my mouth that took the experience to another level. That's when it hit me: this was the famous Sichuan peppercorn that I had only heard about from food explorers like Sonny and Mark on YouTube during their trips to China. I've had mala hotpot and Sichuan-style dishes up north, but I've never truly experienced that signature peppercorn-induced numbing satisfaction -- until now. My wife and I finished all three dishes and couldn't help but laugh (and feel a little embarrassed) when we looked around and saw other couples sharing just one dish. But hey, don't judge us -- it was that good. Truly a life-changing food experience. If you're in San Gabriel and looking for authentic, bold, and exciting flavors, Ikka is a must-try.

My husband and daughter love love love their tomato noodles. I had their beef brisket, pork knuckle, and stewed chicken - thought the portion, packaging, style, and taste all gave a fast food/chain restaurant vibe. It's aight and probably would never crave it.

    shredded potato!

i've been coming here for a couple of years now,, consistent quality! the first time i tried this restaurant, i got hungry as soon as i walked through the door, because you can smell the food and flavor from the kitchen! staff are great. i got the membership early on, and it also gives you discounts on some of the dishes. my favorite small dishes are the cucumber and shredded potato. i love the yellow braised beef and lamb in particular as well!! today i got some of their newest dishes (see pictures). portions are so nice

Won't allow to change some food on banquet menu, just had to add another dish. Food came out fast & with big plates, hardly any space on table, waiter just left it on top of 2 serving trays. They didn't care that serving plates were still full. The beef loc lac was tough, deep fried fish sauce tasted weird with their sweet sour sauce, pea sprouts which I was trying to change to another dish but couldn't, sure enough was so fibrous & chewy. The special fried rice was so full of all different kinds of meat that it was like a meal in itself. With 10 different dishes it would have been better to serve plain white rice. Felt service could been better for 18% service already added on bill. Tea was even charged. Had to ask for menu at cashier & was told already at table, asked for waiter so we can order, had to ask for water, spoons & forks or to have some serving plates taken away to have more space at table. There were few waiters & feel that they were not attentive and restaurant was not even busy. Even parking lot was not full but there was courtesy valet parking & girl was insisting on parking the cars even though several cars was starting to line up. I would never recommend or return to this place again. Just disappointed that my guests did not enjoy the food as well.

And they have some chairs for people waiting. The wait wasn't too bad, around 25 minutes or so and they text you when the table is ready. They have a very nice interior design and not that many tables inside, but they do a good job of serving food fast so the wait times aren't bad despite the small space. There is a ipad at your table once seated so you can directly send your order to the kitchen instead waiting for the waiter. We got the Wagyu Beef Chinese Burger, Kurobuta Pork and Crab Meat Soup Dumplings, Kurobuta Pork Soup Dumplings, Stir Fried Noodles w Angus Beef, Dry Pot Cauliflower, and Sweet and Sour Kurobuta Pork Ribs. The waiters here were friendly and attentive, giving extra napkins and refilling our water cups often. The food was served in like ten minutes which is fast. I liked the Wagyu Chinese burger the most since the beef is stir fried very well and seasoned very flavorfully. It is just pricey for the size. The soup dumplings were all pretty good with good meat quality and dumpling skin. Each soup dumpling order only comes with 8 which isn't too bad for the price. The cauliflower and stir fried noodles were both pretty good too, very flavorful. The porb ribs were just average though and pricey for only 8 pieces that are not very big. The flakey beef rolls are also very good. Comes with four per order and the meat quality and skin was just perfect. Overall, this is a pretty good spot for soup dumplings and noodles, and I highly recommend the Wagyu Chinese burger. The portions are a bit small for the price but the food quality is good. I can see why there is always a line outside. Their service is also great and fast. I liked how they help pack your leftovers to-go for you. Will come back again!

We originally were hoping for 7 or 7:30, but based on how busy and popular this place is I can see why they said no. Come early and get seated right away and there's still ample parking in their parking lot. By the time we left at 7:30p, the lot was packed and people circling around hoping to snag a spot from folks leaving. The restaurant is pretty large and has about 3 rooms with different size tables and booths. No matter the size of your party, there's a table that will accommodate. The staff were very nice and attentive and FAST! We had our food out probably 15 min after we put in our order! Now...on to the food. We ordered one of the set menus for our party of 7 and it was spot on! As you can see in the pictures we had all the "classics". Our set meal could easily be enjoyed by at least 10 people. We had so many leftovers! The food was all well prepared and sufficiently seasoned. Portions of each dish was plentiful and everyone will be able to get enough to satisfy. My favorite items: lobster (duh!), kung pao chicken, pork chops, and shaking beef. The seafood soup is a great starter, and don't forget to add a little vinegar and pepper! Came at 530 pm on a tuesday, and there wasen't anyone here yet. Afterwards it filled up quickly!! The main thing I dont like about this place is they dont have the prices on what your ordering. Which I'll get too at the end. Like any other Chinese restaurant, their menu is super extensive. I love how they have a little bit of everything. And its very well organized too. We ordered the following: 1. Crab and fish maw soup- this soup was amazing. It was just the right temp. Got me sweating. Can easily feed 12 people. Great amount of maw. The consistency is just right. Tasted so good!! 2. Small lobster special- on a bed of noodles. It was about 5 lbs. Cooked well. Could do without. Basically flavors. And it was expensive!! About $30 a lb. So this one dish cost basically the same amount as all the other dishes. Which was just too much. If I knew it was that much I would definitely not have ordered it. 3. Walnut shrimp- not the best walnut shrimp I've had. But it was ok. 4. Garlic shrimp- this shrimp dish was ok. Too many bell peppers and onions. It was just ok. 5. Mongolian beef- flavors were not that great. Very tender though. Could've been better. 6. Sea trout- this was amazing!! I love the sauce. Fish was so soft and tender. The heat, the spice, the sweetness. Some of that sauce in white rice was just perfection. It was really really good. Best dish of what we ordered. 7. Kung pao chicken- this was a really good dish. Crispy bits of chicken. But so soft and tender inside. I love the sauce that it was in. It was by far one of the highlights of the meal. It was good food. Price for everything (except the lobster) was pretty good. Food tasted amazing for the most part. Typical Chinese customer service. Pay at the front. Massively large portions. Solid authentic Chinese food.
