Lamb and beef skewers
Tiffany L.

Mind blown! I rarely come across a restaurant that does that. We tried lamb and beef skewers, crawfish, squid, fish fillet and oysters. The seafood is impeccable. This is some of the freshest crawfish I've had in LA. I've been to a lot of places that serve crawfish that was previously frozen, but you could tell how fresh these were because of how cleanly the tail meat pulled off the shell. I'd come back just for this alone. Everything else was cooked and prepared phenomenally. Nothing fell flat. The minced garlic on the oysters - chef's kiss! I loved how generous they were with the peppercorn to give that refreshing taste in that minty kind of way. Meat on the skewers was very tender. Squid was very fresh and chewy. I'd repurchase all of them on a future visit. Service was amazing too. Servers were super attentive and friendly. Great beer selection too to pair with the food. I can't wait to go back!

Great place to eat Chinese style skewer BBQ! Good service. Outside tables are available too.

We ordered the garlic crawfish first, and it was so good that we had to order the spicy crawfish too! The skewers were also really good with that charcoal-grilled flavor. On top of that, the service was amazing, friendly, attentive. Definitely a place we'd come back to!

Great spot for skewers! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly grilled. The garlic fish was also really good. Great service and a nice atmosphere. Definitely coming back!

Came for skewers, stayed for the garlic crayfish.

Came to E Force Grill for a casual skewer night, and the garlic crayfish stole the show -- garlicky, flavorful, and easy to peel. The grilled squid and sausage skewers were nicely charred, and the shredded potato salad was a refreshing side. Simple spot with solid flavors; I'd come back.

Great food!! Same owner as the last place but they updated the food menu. Great price and clean!

Crawfish was sooooo good. And the cucumber was my favorite!! Will def be back!!! The intestine skewer was also sooo good and the chicken skin too!!

Razor clams

Found this place after we worked out and saw the picture for razor clams so we decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint and the portions are huge. We also ordered garlic crawfish, grilled oysters, grilled squid, hand pulled noodles and some lamb skewers. The oysters are very plump and the squid tasted very fresh. The noodles and skewers are also delicious. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs. The servers are very friendly and proactive to tell us about a promo they gave in store for crawfishes.

Sizzling iron plate fish fillet

Tried this new restaurant and ordered the BBQ beef and lamb, green peppercorn razor clams, stir-fried instant noodles, and the sizzling iron plate fish fillet. Every single dish was delicious! The razor clams had a great kick--very spicy, but so good. The fish fillet was definitely the standout and the best thing we ordered, though my husband is still talking about how much he loved the clams. Plus, our server was wonderful and super friendly.

Authentic Chinese bbq place with awesome appetizers and hot dishes!! Highly recommend

Good food and good service! My family had dinner here and we had a good time. The AC doesn't work so well hope they can fix that.

A classic staple BBQ in the Pasadena area!…read more GREAT HAPPY HOUR. From 3pm-5:30pm Mon- Friday! The have a fantastic happy hour with half off some of their drinks and half off certain appetizers and entrees (check thier website!). Their corn bread is a must with thier iconic japelpeno jam spread (though its not included on thier happy hour). They have great sides and appetizers, and haven't had one I didn't like! Their baby back, spare ribs, and brisket are fantastic with sauces on the side if you wanted to more BBQ sauce to your BBQ meat! Though in my opinion, I don't need it usually, as the meats are already so flavorful as is! I'd say its great for groups, though a bit pricy, but boy is this good, hearty, fall of the bone, BBQ! The servers have always been great and kind and even when we were celebrating a birthday last visit, they brought out a icecream Sundae with a candle! Very sweet! I talked to a man at the South Pasadena museum and told us that Gus's is the oldest BBQ establishment in California, serving hungry patrons since 1946. They haven't been in business in over 70 years for nothing! Thought it's been a long time, the place is still well maintained and updated so it still is nice and clean, but still keeping its historic core. Come by this meaty institution for their renowned classic American barbaque, with great libations, great food and amazing service with tasty history!

I got the Nashville hot chicken plate and it was actually quite spiced! I am pretty good w spicy foods but I couldn't or didn't want to finish the entire thing bc it was getting to me. But overall, quite tasty! (I probably won't get it again since I want to be able to dig in full but I appreciated the dish anyway.) All the sides were delicious. The portions are nice and big. The soda refills were flowing. The service was great. Everyone was super kind and helpful with ordering. :) There is a parking lot right next to the entrance. There's also plenty of parking around the area or neighborhood.

What's even crazier is that I've been a diehard bone-in/traditional wings believer, but bb.q Chicken's boneless wings converted me to the dark side. In fact, I will shamelessly admit that I only ever order their boneless wings here after having tried them. Unlike other places' boneless wings, which use dry white meat (an absolute abomination IMHO), bb.q Chicken uses actual dark meat and are actual "boneless wings." The Cheesling flavor is to die for. Get the limited time Buldak Cheesling flavor for a special spicy kick. If you want an alcoholic drink with your chicken, I suggest sticking with beer or bottled soju. Their soju cocktails are pretty weak and have a strange pre-mixed flavor to them.

So to have your employee give me a whole speech at 8:45 about when you close the kitchen and how long I have to eat, is unacceptable, lack of customer service. And then denying service to 4 people at 9:08pm, also doesn't make for good ambiance or service. I paid $60 for 2 people to share a rice bowl and small batch of wings; what would those 4 people have ordered $$$? *change your hours if your trying to close early 2nd the wings have really reduced in quality and flavor, did you degrade or change in quality of chicken; or is that your not following the same recipe? And lastly, and this change I can sympathize with, but I very much enjoyed the yellow danmuji radishes in the bulgogi bowl, so eff those people who asked you to take them out; causing you to decide to no longer include them

Golden soup pot had a tangy, chicken broth base with lots of filling: vermicelli, beef, napa cabbage, fish cake, tofu skin. Corn cheese was super flavorful: cheesy sweet corn paired well with the rice and skewers. For skewers I got, beef, lamb, quail egg, king oyster mushroom, sausage, fried chicken skin, chicken wing. My personal favorites were the fried chicken skin and king oyster mushrooms. Ambience of the restaurant was pretty packed on a weekday night. Had loud Chinese music playing. No wait time, lots of open tables, super spacious. Loved that the table had sets of necessities so you didn't have to ask the waiter: napkins, chili powder, water, chopsticks. You order from an ipad which made everything super easy, also had lots of pictures to show the items. Service was great. Friendly waiters that helped us light our soup hotpot again and pack our leftovers! Was super attentive as well. Would overall recommend coming here for skewers. Had lots of variety to order from. Flavorful skewers and lots of appetizers. Looking forward to coming back to try the stinky tofu!

We will not be getting those skewers again and will just stick with the beef skewers. Their ma la tang pot is also incredibly seasoned and full of napa, beef, fishcakes, and noodles. The broth was so spicy and delicious that we got extra broth and packaged it to-go to eat it at home! Best of all, they had BOGO free beers on their menu for a decent price. It was perfect for just the two of us drinking that night, but they have more great drinks on their menu for a decent price. Overall, great food and vibes. Would highly recommend!
