Walked in at 2pm and were seated right away -- no wait at all, which was a nice surprise. The meat was the clear star. Tender, well-marbled, and seriously tasty. Everything we ordered hit the right notes on flavor and texture. Seafood was solid too, and the unlimited salmon sashimi was a real highlight -- fresh, clean, and easy to keep going back for. Service was good throughout. Our server was attentive without being overbearing and kept things moving smoothly. The only part that felt a bit underwhelming was the interior. It's fine, functional, and clean, but nothing special design-wise. Doesn't take away from the meal, just not a standout atmosphere. After seeing Herby on instagram for the past several months the I decided to finally come try Chubby Cattle for the first time. The atmosphere walking in is ethereal. It feels like a movie set. Service was incredible starting with the store manager who thoroughly explained the menu options. Becoming a member pays for itself on your birthday and they have a special $50 off their sister restaurant at Niku X right now. Finally another reason to treat myself! Now let's get to the food. Everything was fresh. I started with Salmon, Yellowtail, and Wagyu nigiri with Uni & caviar! Delicious is an understatement. The A5 brisket was a staple item. Ordered it maybe five times. So good. All of their options are Wagyu, every part of the cow from head to tail is available. The Argentina shrimp is massive. The meat felt and tasted like it could be a small lobster tail. So good! The fried chicken drumstick was flavored so well, I recommend ordering everything you can on the menu at least once. Every item is carefully thought out with wonderful presentations. This is dining but elevated. The service was impeccable. I've already mentioned the manager whose name I wasn't able to get but he reminded me of Herby, very articulate, friendly, and a pleasure to be around. Attentive service and good quality beef. Keep in mind at this location, you'll want to make your side dishes part of your order. Everything comes out pretty quickly. We got the red shrimp and probably overcooked them so that's on us, but they weren't my favorite. Kelvin took good care of our group! I think there's good value at the silver level but can't speak for the upper tiers. The decor is on theme. It's entertaining. No robot at this location. Honestly, the silver tier is all you need. This location is a bit smaller, so there are no self serve stations, but you can still order the same thing off the tablet, except that you are limited to eight items per order, every six minutes, so you kind of have to be strategic about whether you want that 2pc salmon nigiri or the Wagyu brisket. The staff, was very helpful, with bringing out the dishes for a quick, so you're never left waiting, or have downtime. You have a 70 minute time limit in this location. Is this a bit weird because other locations do 90 minutes. Either way, I was full when the 20 minute counter ahead, so I think the restaurant offset that by bringing out the food really quick. It is a smaller location, so at least the service was pretty phenomenal. I had no issues, the grill change was pretty consistent, and the food was great. The ambience, just expect a bit of a tight seating, in certain sections. However, I would still rather go here than other restaurants with a similar setup. The price, you're paying for better meat. The gold tier may be better if you really care about special dishes, or scallops. read more

YUM!! This satisfied our craving for wagyu barbecue and it was so delicious! They have a big menu and you order through the ipad. They have wagyu beef, steak, pork, and sushi options. We loved the seared salmon nigiris. They were a good size and perfectly seared to taste. We ordered about 6 orders of them between the 3 of us! I highly recommend it. My favorite was the pork belly, wagyu steak, and the all of the side dishes. We asked for sesame oil and garlic. They gave us a big bowl of garlic to grill up and eat plain too with our meat. I loved heating my meat with the radish wraps. The one thing that I miss compared to other Chubby Cattle locations was the side dish bar and the milk tea. I wish they had it all of the locations. The Rowland one has a buffet bar for appetizers, drinks, and desserts and they offer more than what's offered here. Nonetheless, I still had a good experience at this Chubby Cattle location. Meats all tasted fresh and yummy. Service was very fast and they were very good about changing out grill multiple times. When I'm craving Chubby Cattle, I go to this location since it's closest to me and the service is always top-notch. However, the quality of the food seems to have gone down, and I think they can clean up their bathroom and dining area a bit more. The meat was fine, but much of their produce was wilted and had discoloration. There's also lots of graffiti in the bathroom, and things like their soap and toilet paper dispensers were loose or broken. I hope some changes are made so that the ambiance matches my earlier experiences. read more
