We ordered the Pad Kee Mao and the half fried, half grilled chicken with papaya salad set. The grilled chicken was just as flavorful and delicious as the fried chicken, making it hard to pick a favorite. The ginger dipping sauce served with the chicken was absolutely amazing. The Pad Kee Mao was packed with flavor and hit the spot. The customer service was warm, friendly, and attentive, making for an enjoyable dining experience.

Honestly was a bit skeptical of this spot since the pics on Yelp looked a bit outdated and the pics showed the food being discolored. Trusted my friend's rec and went for lunch on a Sunday. Parking is fairly easy as it shares a parking lot with the big plaza nearby. Immediately when I walked in I noticed that the place could use a bit of revamping, maybe some decorations. Overall, the food was enjoyable and I would be back for a quick lunch spot that serves solid chicken rice. Half fried/half grilled high on chicken rice, 8.5/10: both the grilled and fried chicken were hot and crispy. The chicken was cooked well and nicely seasoned. I thought the chicken could use a tad bit of salt though. The soup it came with was piping hot and accompanied the rice and chicken well. The rice itself could have used a bit more seasoning and chicken fat in my opinion. The sauce it came with were great especially the ginger sauce that added the fresh complexity that the dish desperately needed. Adding onto that, I think I could use some vegetables on the side. The tamarind and sweet chili sauce were great. I could also use some chilli. The perfect generous portion of food.

Got the crispy chicken rice set and the pork jerky. Good sized portion for the price. Lots of chicken came with the rice, and the sauce that came with the jerky was really yummy. Service was very quick. Server was also very sweet and attentive.

Shoutout to Peter and Lisa for recommending this place to us. Negatives: -ambiance, location is a little small and you'll need to park across the street. Positives: -food, the food was good and the portions were. We loved the rice and fried chicken. We also got the pad kee mao and the pork jerky fried rice, they were delicious too. -prices were very good and reasonable -service was standard Overall 5/5 We will definitely be coming back to try the other dishes.

I usually order the chicken rice to-go from this place because the portions are generous, and it still tastes great even the next day (so I didn't get a chance to take a photo). This time I tried the Pad See Ew, which was really delicious and tasted just like what I've had in Thailand. The staff are friendly and provide good service. The restaurant has plenty of seating, with a small parking lot in the back and lots of free street parking nearby.

Everything was yummy and flavorful! We had more than enough food for two and our server was friendly and helpful!

This is a tiny Thai spot with very few seating inside Parking is a little challenging since the lot isn't too big but there is street parking available Went on a Saturday at 1pm and the staff wasn't friendly or welcoming at all. Keep in mind that it wasn't even busy (there was just one party there) and 5+ tables uncleaned. It wasn't even busy and they told us to wait almost 15-20 minutes before they could seat us and they didn't even apologize! The menu had a lot of variety to choose from, such as popular Thai dishes like pad Thai, different kinds of curry (red, green, yellow), crab fried rice, papaya salad, etc. There was also Hainan chicken in different variations - steamed, fried, and grilled ($13-14). Pricing was very reasonable and most entrees were $14+ The Chicken Pad Thai ($13.99) was pretty decent and the portion was very big. The noodles were very good and not too salty or overly sweet. I really enjoyed that there was a lot of pieces of chicken and egg inside. This was 4/5 Pineapple Fried Rice ($13.99) was very delicious and had lots of chicken and shrimp inside! The rice was very flavorful and I really liked the chunks of pineapple, bits of raisins and cashews inside. This was 4/5 Tom Yum Noodle Soup ($13.99) was very underwhelming. The noodles were nothing special. The Tom Yum soup didn't taste authentic and didn't have much of a taste to it other than spiciness. This was 2/5 The Hainan Chicken - steamed ($12.99) was the most disappointing Hainan chicken I've ever had. It was tasteless and dry. It certainly didn't taste tender and juicy like how it's supposed to. The brown, orange, and ginger sauce were so nasty. The sauces are supposed to pair well with the chicken but the sauces given were very salty and didn't work well with the chicken at all. The rice was dry and overcooked. This was 1/5 for me, sorry! Would most likely not return or recommend

Delicious as always. Good service, nice portions. Flavorful variety in menu. Good deals occasionally for free drinks.

I'd been having on SGV Eats this place is so good. I don't know what people are talking about. The place is small, a bit dirty and only noticed street parking. The hainan/steamed chicken is bland. Like literally flavorless and an odd texture. The fried and grilled were just as bad. The sauces were good though. But I didn't want to finish my meal it was so bland. And the crab rangoons we got were still frozen in the middle! I'll stick to Savoy Kitchen

Red Chicken is stand alone building located in the corner next to the Sam Woo and O'Reilly Auto Parts plaza on Las Tunas. There is minimal parking in the lot in the back, but there should be plenty of street parking. We came in for dinner at around 6 PM on a week night and the restaurant had minimal people and no wait. However, we noticed a bunch of take out orders lined up and as the night went on, a lot of people were coming in and out to pick up their food. This must be a very popular restaurant for take out. The server was very friendly and took our order. My wife ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and I ordered the Spicy Basil with Pork, spicy level spicy. My wife enjoyed her Pad Thai and I really enjoyed my spicy basil. The pork was flavorful and the spicy level was on point. A few days later, we called to place a small party tray for Pad Thai and party tray of 40 Satay Chicken. The Pad Thai comes with the toppings separated out on top in case you want to take something out. Otherwise, you can mix it up after. It also came with lemon and peanuts on the side. The satay chicken came with satay sauce in a separate container and another sauce with cucumber in it. Our group of friends really enjoyed both dishes and it was enough for about 6-7 people. If you want to place a party tray order, call in advance and give them a couple of days. We called about two days in advanced. Overall, we had a good experience at Red Chicken. We enjoyed the food and definitely will be back!

Dropping a 5 spot for this Hainan style chicken + rice gem! Highlights: - great portion size. I eat a lot and I left very full - fried chicken was excellent and was exactly what I wanted. Not a "katsu" style but a Chinese style fry. Loved it!! - soup healed my soul - lots of sauce, great variety Lowlights - regular chicken had some gummy/unsavory parts. But it was later in the night and i'm not holding it against them. They go through a lot of chicken throughout the day - wish there was more rice

June BOGO deals!! Plus 10% off your entire bill! BOGO deal applies to Thai tea, Thai coffee, tofu or eggroll appetizers. Mangos are back in season so grab a mango sticky rice for dessert too! Pro-Tip: if you are visiting when the sun is shining they the windows, try sitting toward the middle of the room. The shades don't help keep the sun/heat out enough sadly and the place can get warm

The Yellow Curry is pure comfort food; the broth is incredibly rich, smooth, and aromatic, with perfectly cooked potatoes and veggies. On top of the great taste, the portion sizes are very generous. You definitely get your money's worth here, with plenty of food to leave you full (and probably take some home). Will definitely be ordering from here again! Highly recommend.

It's flavorful and Ong Choy is nice and crunchy. Definitely a great vegetable selection. Pad Thai: the sauce is way too heavy and sweet. We didn't enjoy this as much as we thought we would. The first taste was good, but the more you have the saltier/sweeter it gets. The lime juice didn't lighten things up either. Don't really recommend it. Crab fried rice: there's a good amount of crab and egg in this dish. The rice is on the softer side, it's not dry and hard like most fried rice. We still enjoy it, the texture of the rice didn't kill the flavor of it. The flavor is very balanced, but quite oily. Tom yum seafood soup: There's a good amount of seafood in this soup. The flavor (sweet and sour) is well balanced. Sweet rice with mango: A great dessert option to finish the meal. It is not overly sweet. I'm not a fan of coconut, but the coconut is not distinctly sweet and overwhelming (so I was able to have some). The sweet rice is chewy and warm when served. And the mango is perfectly ripe and sweet. Definitely recommend it. The service was outstanding! The restaurant decoration is very traditional and unique. They are quite busy when we arrived on a Sunday night. I would give this place an overall 3.5/5 because they can definitely work on some of the dishes.

The food came out as it was made. We tried a number of dishes: Pad See You - good wok flavor. We ordered it with pork. There wasn't a lot of meat in it but I did like that the meat was thinly sliced. Crab Fried Rice - once again, good wok flavor. Lots of flakey crab meat and chunky egg pieces. Crunchy Tofu - we all loved the texture variation. The deep fry technique definitely leaves it with a crunchy shell. It was good with or without the sauce it came with. Pork Jerky - everyone enjoyed the marinade. We noshed and picked at this throughout dinner. Yellow Curry - we got it with beef, mild, no spice. It was tasty, the coconut curry was delicious. I was surprised at how much I loved this especially since the gravy was more soupy than gravy like. Puffy Carfish - wasn't sure what this was but saw it on a number or posts and had to try it. It was an interesting texture. I think I read after eating dinner that it was a salad. OOPS we didn't eat the cabbage! The sour apple slaw that comes with it is DELICIOUS! Naked Wings - marinated fried chicken wings w/ sweet chile sauce. Can't go wrong but not super exciting. Lots of parking, especially for dinner. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is located behind the restaurant at a local medical building parking lot. It's $1 each 9 minutes with a max of $13. Or you can try to find street parking and walk on over. Food: I ordered a Lychee Martini, Saigon Summer, Mamasan's Shrimp Cake Skewers, Truffle Wok Seared Noodles with Scallop, Slow-Drip Vietnamese Coffee Flan, and Banyan Tree Ice Cream. Before I started ordering, I was immediately given some house made complimentary shrimp chips. I loved how light and airy it was. It also had an amazing crunch. It tasted just like shrimps hahaha. My lychee martini was a crisp, refreshing cocktail that perfectly balances floral sweetness with tart acidity. Order this! The Saigon summer is a spicy, tropical blend of tequila, lime leaf liqueur, agave, butterfly pea infused triplum, and a Thai chili infusion. Not really up my alley, but I'm glad I was able to try it out. I think I dislike anything spicy and super bitter in my drinks. It just tasted odd. Mamasan's shrimp cake skewers features crispy, deep-fried shrimp cakes flavored with kaffir lime and lemongrass. It is served with skewers, charred pineapple, and a sweet garlic chili dip. Definitely get this. It was so crunchy, massive, and mouthwatering. The charred pineapple provided a sour yet sweet taste that helped off set the savory seafood / fishy taste in your mouth. The truffle wok seared noodles with scallop is a dish that combines savory, smoky flavor with luxurious truffle and tender scallops, which bridges the gap between classic Asian stir-fry and Italian comfort food. As a massive sucker for Italian food and all things truffle, this dish was my favorite. The al dente handmade egg noodles were wok-tossed in a rich black truffle sauce with delicious mushrooms, fresh Brussels sprout leaves, and perfectly seared scallops. I loved that I could taste the black truffles. The truffles added a nice rich, earthy, and highly savory flavor with prominent notes roasted nuts. GET THIS DISH!!!!! The slow-drip Vietnamese coffee flan is a silky, rich egg custard infused with bold phin-drip coffee and sweetened condensed milk. It offers a perfect balance of bitter roasted coffee and sweet creamy custard. This dish was super smooth, creamy, and delicious. I loved that Star Leaf added their own twist to this dish by putting a caramel golden cage on top of this already phenomenal tasting dessert. The caramel golden cage gave this flan a nice crunch. This dish wasn't too sweet for me. As a hater of super sweet things, this flan was just right. The banyan tree ice cream was a great way to end the meal. Super refreshing! I got two scoops of Thai tea ice cream and one scoop of the coconut ice cream. Both flavors were fantastic and tasted very creamy. Not too sweet, which is how I like it. Staff: The staff here are very attentive, friendly, welcoming, and polite. Elysha waited on me when I went. She was very attentive, informative, and personable. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum.

Their menu has changed a bit over time, but I still recognize the kitchen staff and the food continues to satiate me. On the recent visit I tried their lunch combo. This starts with an entree, and adds a drink, an appetizer, and a soup. There is a premium combo that includes a full size appetizer. I could not finish the regular combo, so there would still be leftovers for an even larger size meal. I love khao Soi and knew I had to order this one. The flavor was similar to other Thai places, though I found it reduced more so that the curry was thicker and really stuck to the noodles. Good noodle portion, lots of chicken meat, pickled veggies, soft-boiled eggs were dry but tasted the same, all around good entree. I asked for a saucy Pad Thai and they delivered, very good indeed. Each of these entrees could have been a meal on their own. The cabbage soup was very savory, likely a chicken stock with some veggies thrown in. Less umami than a miso soup, but very robust flavor. The side salad had a light sesame dressing, not too intense of a flavor and it worked well with the typical house salad ingredients. There were some crispy straws added on top, to differentiate, but it's a good and healthy side option. I'd skip the vegetable egg-roll, it's just an egg-roll. The Green Thai Tea is a main reason we came to Dancing Spoons. It's not normally part of the lunch combo, but we asked about an up charge and they were able to help us out.

This was kind of the ideal Pad Kee Mao plate! The Khao Soi also was a burst of flavor. The broth was so good. The noodles were a tad bit soft, prob due to the fresh and steaming hot broth, but I felt every bite towards the end had that jam-in-your-face quality. The server was super nice and accommodating. She asked us how our food was and took the notes very well. We sat in one of their outdoor tables along with a pug. Highly recommended! Please go support local restaurants!
