We ordered the Pad Kee Mao and the half fried, half grilled chicken with papaya salad set. The grilled chicken was just as flavorful and delicious as the fried chicken, making it hard to pick a favorite. The ginger dipping sauce served with the chicken was absolutely amazing. The Pad Kee Mao was packed with flavor and hit the spot. The customer service was warm, friendly, and attentive, making for an enjoyable dining experience.

Honestly was a bit skeptical of this spot since the pics on Yelp looked a bit outdated and the pics showed the food being discolored. Trusted my friend's rec and went for lunch on a Sunday. Parking is fairly easy as it shares a parking lot with the big plaza nearby. Immediately when I walked in I noticed that the place could use a bit of revamping, maybe some decorations. Overall, the food was enjoyable and I would be back for a quick lunch spot that serves solid chicken rice. Half fried/half grilled high on chicken rice, 8.5/10: both the grilled and fried chicken were hot and crispy. The chicken was cooked well and nicely seasoned. I thought the chicken could use a tad bit of salt though. The soup it came with was piping hot and accompanied the rice and chicken well. The rice itself could have used a bit more seasoning and chicken fat in my opinion. The sauce it came with were great especially the ginger sauce that added the fresh complexity that the dish desperately needed. Adding onto that, I think I could use some vegetables on the side. The tamarind and sweet chili sauce were great. I could also use some chilli. The perfect generous portion of food.

Got the crispy chicken rice set and the pork jerky. Good sized portion for the price. Lots of chicken came with the rice, and the sauce that came with the jerky was really yummy. Service was very quick. Server was also very sweet and attentive.

Shoutout to Peter and Lisa for recommending this place to us. Negatives: -ambiance, location is a little small and you'll need to park across the street. Positives: -food, the food was good and the portions were. We loved the rice and fried chicken. We also got the pad kee mao and the pork jerky fried rice, they were delicious too. -prices were very good and reasonable -service was standard Overall 5/5 We will definitely be coming back to try the other dishes.

I usually order the chicken rice to-go from this place because the portions are generous, and it still tastes great even the next day (so I didn't get a chance to take a photo). This time I tried the Pad See Ew, which was really delicious and tasted just like what I've had in Thailand. The staff are friendly and provide good service. The restaurant has plenty of seating, with a small parking lot in the back and lots of free street parking nearby.

Everything was yummy and flavorful! We had more than enough food for two and our server was friendly and helpful!

This is a tiny Thai spot with very few seating inside Parking is a little challenging since the lot isn't too big but there is street parking available Went on a Saturday at 1pm and the staff wasn't friendly or welcoming at all. Keep in mind that it wasn't even busy (there was just one party there) and 5+ tables uncleaned. It wasn't even busy and they told us to wait almost 15-20 minutes before they could seat us and they didn't even apologize! The menu had a lot of variety to choose from, such as popular Thai dishes like pad Thai, different kinds of curry (red, green, yellow), crab fried rice, papaya salad, etc. There was also Hainan chicken in different variations - steamed, fried, and grilled ($13-14). Pricing was very reasonable and most entrees were $14+ The Chicken Pad Thai ($13.99) was pretty decent and the portion was very big. The noodles were very good and not too salty or overly sweet. I really enjoyed that there was a lot of pieces of chicken and egg inside. This was 4/5 Pineapple Fried Rice ($13.99) was very delicious and had lots of chicken and shrimp inside! The rice was very flavorful and I really liked the chunks of pineapple, bits of raisins and cashews inside. This was 4/5 Tom Yum Noodle Soup ($13.99) was very underwhelming. The noodles were nothing special. The Tom Yum soup didn't taste authentic and didn't have much of a taste to it other than spiciness. This was 2/5 The Hainan Chicken - steamed ($12.99) was the most disappointing Hainan chicken I've ever had. It was tasteless and dry. It certainly didn't taste tender and juicy like how it's supposed to. The brown, orange, and ginger sauce were so nasty. The sauces are supposed to pair well with the chicken but the sauces given were very salty and didn't work well with the chicken at all. The rice was dry and overcooked. This was 1/5 for me, sorry! Would most likely not return or recommend

Delicious as always. Good service, nice portions. Flavorful variety in menu. Good deals occasionally for free drinks.

I'd been having on SGV Eats this place is so good. I don't know what people are talking about. The place is small, a bit dirty and only noticed street parking. The hainan/steamed chicken is bland. Like literally flavorless and an odd texture. The fried and grilled were just as bad. The sauces were good though. But I didn't want to finish my meal it was so bland. And the crab rangoons we got were still frozen in the middle! I'll stick to Savoy Kitchen

Red Chicken is stand alone building located in the corner next to the Sam Woo and O'Reilly Auto Parts plaza on Las Tunas. There is minimal parking in the lot in the back, but there should be plenty of street parking. We came in for dinner at around 6 PM on a week night and the restaurant had minimal people and no wait. However, we noticed a bunch of take out orders lined up and as the night went on, a lot of people were coming in and out to pick up their food. This must be a very popular restaurant for take out. The server was very friendly and took our order. My wife ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and I ordered the Spicy Basil with Pork, spicy level spicy. My wife enjoyed her Pad Thai and I really enjoyed my spicy basil. The pork was flavorful and the spicy level was on point. A few days later, we called to place a small party tray for Pad Thai and party tray of 40 Satay Chicken. The Pad Thai comes with the toppings separated out on top in case you want to take something out. Otherwise, you can mix it up after. It also came with lemon and peanuts on the side. The satay chicken came with satay sauce in a separate container and another sauce with cucumber in it. Our group of friends really enjoyed both dishes and it was enough for about 6-7 people. If you want to place a party tray order, call in advance and give them a couple of days. We called about two days in advanced. Overall, we had a good experience at Red Chicken. We enjoyed the food and definitely will be back!

Dropping a 5 spot for this Hainan style chicken + rice gem! Highlights: - great portion size. I eat a lot and I left very full - fried chicken was excellent and was exactly what I wanted. Not a "katsu" style but a Chinese style fry. Loved it!! - soup healed my soul - lots of sauce, great variety Lowlights - regular chicken had some gummy/unsavory parts. But it was later in the night and i'm not holding it against them. They go through a lot of chicken throughout the day - wish there was more rice

June BOGO deals!! Plus 10% off your entire bill! BOGO deal applies to Thai tea, Thai coffee, tofu or eggroll appetizers. Mangos are back in season so grab a mango sticky rice for dessert too! Pro-Tip: if you are visiting when the sun is shining they the windows, try sitting toward the middle of the room. The shades don't help keep the sun/heat out enough sadly and the place can get warm

They opened and closed the door for us which was a nice touch because it was busy inside. We ordered the pork ramen, pork buns, and pork soup dumplings. On to the food! Pork Ramen: 3/5 They give you a hefty amount of noodles and pork. They use a thin noodle here which pairs well with the broth. I truly do believe this was around average for ramen as the flavor in the broth was not as strong or savory. The highlight of the entire entree was definitely the pork, which was tender and flavorful. I probably would not order this again. Pork bun: 5/5 The pork buns were soft and fluffy, almost too good looking to eat. There was the right amount of soup and meat inside that made for a wonderful bite full of flavor. Not dry at all. Would recommend ordering this if you visit. Pork Dumplings: 5/5 The star of the show, the dumplings. They were soft and just like the buns, they had the right amount of soup + meat which made for a delicious bite every time. My toddler even ate some and she's usually super picky about meat. Overall, I'd definitely recommend coming here for the other noodles, the dumplings, and buns. You can skip on the ramen. I would 100% come back here to dine in. Quick note that parking gets full pretty quick here.

My sisters-in-law who live in the area highly recommended this spot when we were deciding on a Sunday dinner the night before we flew out. Among the four of us, we ordered: - Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) - Biang Biang Noodles: least numbing of the noodle dishes we ordered. If you LOVE carbs and not a lot of sauce, this one's for you! - Dandan noodles: this thin noodle dish is slightly more numbing than the Biang Biang noodles, but still bearable and tasty. - Chongqing Special Noodles: most numbing of the three! I had to pause eating this a few times as it was getting a little uncomfy! The noodles are side but thinner than the Biang Biang noodles. I liked that we ordered noodle dishes each with different noodle types, flavors, and spice levels. The Biang Biang noodles were respite from the Chongqing Special Noodles, while the Dandan noodles had the right amount of peanut flavor and "mala." We arrived 45 minutes before closing on a Sunday night (it was a holiday the next day though). We were surprised that there was still a line of people wait in for seats close to closing time! Thinking we weren't going to be seated, we decided to order for takeout. We ended up being the last party to be seated! The staff was kind to transfer our takeout orders as dine-in dishes! The staff had the right amount of customer service and attentiveness for a Chinese restaurant, if you know what I mean haha. For amazing noodle dishes, comfortable seating, and accommodating service, Chong Qing Special Noodles gets a solid five star rating!

I can't speak for them, but I will say, if you order the tsukemen and find that you want more dipping broth, that will be an extra charge. Order a regular bowl of ramen if you do not plan to dip the brothless noodles into the broth for each bite. The broths had that perfect spicy kick without being overwhelming, and the beef was super tender. My wife and I couldn't stop eating; literally everything we tried was delicious.
