I like medium hot with the option to add more spice - The Sauce dispenser can be found at each table. The Only downside: No substituting of ingredients allowed; but you can ADD extra ingredients (for additional charge). Complimentary iced teas are a nice gesture. Service: Honestly, the service here is OK, not bad, I'll rate the service a 3.896 out of 5 stars. Ambiance: The ambiance of this place is a bit dirty; I saw something on my chopsticks, and there were few napkins. The toilet was extremely dirty, however the restroom overall is pretty good. Came here because we always love boiling point! This was our first time at this location and we were glad there was parking! We're biased so food was solid, however I guess also in usual boiling point fashion it felt like service is always whatever, but that could also be because they don't have enough servers when it's busy. I love boiling point so so so much! everytime I come I always order the milk cream curry and it always hits. if u r a fan of curry I highly reccomed. it comes with a good portion of meat, side of rice/noodles (I usually get rice), green breeds, fish balls, cabbage, noodles, potato slices and fish cakes! I'm usually picky about the meat but the quality of meat was pretty good. it wasn't too fatty, and was pretty tender! the vermicelli in the soup always hits too. after u finish eating they give u lime/passion fruit jelly and its sooo scrumptious!! Just a heads up, the problem with this place is that you don't get to know your place in line, and there is no waitlist link to check how many people are ahead of you. Food wise, the food was delicious. Big portions and the servers were attentive, regularly checking in to refill water/ soup. I would give both soups 7.5/10. I did appreciate that they took our order before we went in and the food was ready by the time we sat down. However, the service was alright. We had to waive down the waiter whenever we needed something versus them checking up on us. They seemed understaffed. As far as the food, it always hits! We all ordered the Beef, and you get the option of rice or vermicelli noodles. You can also choose your spice level - it's pretty spicy so I'd recommend the mild. I love coming for lunch since it comes with complimentary green or black tea - both are great! Their sauces are the best and go well with the dish. Ever since they gone up on their prices, the portions have also increased. i've been to several boiling point locations around the SGV, and this one by far has the shortest wait times (especially compared to arcadia). that being said, this location is rated 3 stars for a reason. a quick glance reveals a majority of the low ratings are related to service - i'm here to say that my experience falls under a similar theme. we were quick to be seated (on a saturday night close to christmas), but had to wait long to be served. perhaps it was because it was the end of the night, but we had to remind our waiters multiple times for water and more soup. other than that, the food was delicious and portions were generous! the restaurant inside is kept quite chilly due to the nature of eating hot pot, so be sure to bring a jacket if you run cold. read more

I don't know how to feel right now. I ordered takeout and now I'm terrified to eat here now. I found a bug's head in my food. I know it's not part of the shrimp, because it has two eyes and antennas. I called and was offered a new one or a refund. It wasn't very accommodating. I already drove there and back home and ended up wasting gas. I found a cockroach in my food before too at a different location and they were more willing to work with me on it. But honestly, I don't think I can eat here anymore knowing that all the bits and pieces of this bug is in my food. It looks like the head of a bee or a moth's head. This is review is more geared towards the owner/investors. Please train the hostess. Our party of 5 checked in before a party of 4. We were finally seated (ie. We entered the restaurant a few minutes) AFTER that party of 4 had already exited the restaurant. We have 3 small children with us; child discrimination? That party of 4 only had 1 child with them. We waited almost 45 minutes. We mentioned something to the host after we noticed parties of 4, 3, or 2 checking in after us. It being seated after us. When we finally entered there were 3 cleared and set groups of tables. Additionally, the table(s) next to us, was already cleared and we saw them push the tables together (4+2) so a part of 6 was seated shortly thereafter. How infuriating --the hostess had told us earlier that they can't move tables around to accommodate our party of 5 when we inquired. Another infuriating observation was that they sat a party of 5 consisting of 1 child at a table ( 2 small tables with an end chair). The host had told us earlier that they couldn't do a similar configuration for us. Just a general observation but table turnover should be improved; win-win for improved wait time and opportunity for profits. Consider patronizing the other BP establishments while this location figures things out. The food is status quo compared to other BP locations. read more

They also do unlimited rice refills if you opt for that but in satisfied with the vermicelli instead. This location is close to my work so I'm very happy, their broth is always on point and delicious! Sometimes it can get pretty crowded but I come on weekdays around 2:00pm so it's not too bad. I came here via car for dinner on a Thursday in mid November 2024. They have a small party lot next door so that was easy and free. There was no line when we went. I ordered what I normally get at Boiling Point: beef mild with scallion rice. It was perfect as always. They use fluorescent lighting, which I didn't mind. I backed my leftovers to go and ordered extra soup. I forgot to ask for sauce packets though. I had to make my own sauce at home but it wasn't the same. I love Boiling Point because I love soup. Disappointing Service and Overpriced As a former waitress at BP, it's honestly disappointing to write this. I used to enjoy working here, but my recent visit as a customer left me really frustrated. When we arrived, the waitress just pointed at us and said "Four people?" while motioning to a table in the corner. There was no greeting or warm welcome. We sat down and waited more than ten minutes without anyone coming to take our order. I had to wave at the staff just to get noticed. I had to ask for water, and even walked up to the counter twice to ask for bowls. They told me the bowls were still being washed. That's not acceptable during service time. We tried multiple times to get the attention of staff, but were completely ignored. No one checked on our table. At one point, a waiter was standing right next to us after serving another table. I said "Excuse me" twice and got no response. Only after raising my voice the third time did he finally turn around. There was no teamwork among the staff. Everyone seemed unwilling to help or take initiative. It felt like no one wanted to do their job properly. Because of that, I didn't leave a tip, which is rare for me because I normally always tip for good service. The food quality control is still fine. It tastes the same as it always has, so no complaints there. But the prices have gone up a lot over time, and it just doesn't feel worth what you're paying anymore. read more

You can choose the level of spiciness that you would like. The milk cream curry hot pot was just ok. It was not as creamy as I expected it to be and the napa cabbage seemed to make up the majority of the pot. I would not get this one again. As for service, I did not have any issues. We've been coming here every other week and somehow haven't written a review until now. So here it goes. First off, the food is always bussin--seriously, it's never missed. We always hit up Boiling Point during lunch hours (open-3pm) because free drinks (green tea or black tea) are the real MVP. We both get the beef pot (mild). One of us is a scallion rice fan (10/10) and the other is all about the vermicelli (10/10). The vermicelli starts out dry,but don't worry--it's like a fun little science experiment because you cook it yourself in the pot. It's like DIY dinner! We are not ashamed to say we ALWAYS ask for more soup. Like, who doesn't want more of that liquid gold? 4 stars only because sometimes you feel a bit rushed to finish your food. Boiling point is my go to soup place and this place is close to family so we always eat out here! Prices have gone up since we first started coming but the portions are still worth the price ! The restaraunt is clean and there is a wait for large parties. Unfortunately they don't allow waitlisting online so come early if you have a large party.
