First timers for this restaurant. We wanted something different and the YELP ratings were very good. Came in at 5p for happy hour to sample the food and have a drink and our waitress was fantastic. Made us feel like we were regulars. She explained everything gave us recommendations and it was great. We had brisket sliders with shoestring French fries and a drink. House drink was tasty and strong, food was tender and tasty! Prior to our meal coming out, my wife found spots on the sample dish and flatware, and asked ELIZ to replace, she apologized and replaced quickly before the food came out. Then we got a visit froom te manager asking if everything was ok. He did not need to do that. Food was amazing and they brought out "death bY Chocolate cake" just because and it was unbelievable. Then to top things off, bEfore we leftt, they brought us fresh made cinnamon mini doughnuts as our lovely parting gifts. We will be back! read more

First time at this location, and wasn't disappointed. Like their Phoenix location. Service is great, good is great, and their facility is clean. We had a party of six, and we all enjoyed our time their. Yes, BBQ is a little pricey, but thats how it goes, I had a couple of appetizers. Chicken wings, and their Q-rolls. The Q-rolls were amazing and addicting, this is a must try for anyone out their. Their wings are decent, and you have three choices of buffalo sauce, ranch, and bbq sauce. We all had a great time, great meal, and by the way. Their lemonade is amazing!! read more

Sticker Shock Stopped in for a late lunch yesterday and was surprised by how much the prices had gone up most of the sandwiches were between 17 and 21, nachos were $17.50. The place was nearly empty at 1 PM, nice place, food is good, prices just to high read more

Food is very tasty. I love the cornbread. Nice sized portions. Service was okay when I went and it was loud and very busy.

Normally this restaurant is really good, but tonight we ordered "to-go" for my husband's birthday dinner and it's anything but, so I feel a need to review since I've already paid, including a nice tip, and have no further recourse. We went "all out" and ordered the biggest (& most expensive) family meal plus extra barbecue sauce and additional sides. We ordered at 3:45 PM for a 6 PM pick up time. After waiting several minutes at the pick up counter I was finally helped by someone. The order was missing several items, and one of the lids was broken open with the food spilling out. Additionally, the brisket was super small portion & the gravy is less than half full- it looks like someone already used it several times (pics before using included). After retrieving the missing items and a new lid, I was informed that we would only be receiving five pieces of cornbread even though the meal is supposed to serve six. You would think when you spend this much money with a restaurant they would throw in another complementary cornbread... or at least try to make your order correct. read more

food was great. enjoyed experience. the service was on point. the meat was cooked well and the sauces are on point

Excellent food. Based on the recommendation of our server, Jae, who was phenomenal by the way, we tried the Q'Rolls which were basically like brisket stuffed egg rolls. Very filling, comes with six of them and two kinds of sauces. We also had the Prime rib sandwich which was tender and flavorful. Excellent food here along with really good complimentary corn bread. Would very much recommend Bobby Q. Try to have Jae as your server. She was excellent! read more

I love this place it's pricey but I kind of think it's worth it, the bbq sandwiches to the brisket plates everything we have had so far has been so good, cornbread awesome. The small donut machine in the lobby so silly but seriously tasty, I've been meaning to leave a review, I've been coming here for a while now, if I had one closer to me I'd have to work there! read more

Bobby Q is a spot I pass by every week I go to church. I was told by several people they have some of the best BBQ in the valley. My best friend was in town so I thought I would try it out with a fellow Texas BBQ lover. We got in the restaurant quickly, the manager greeted us and sat us on the patio. The patio was clean and had the NFL playoff games on. The cornbread was warm and soft, very tasty (try not to eat too much of it). Our waiter was a cool dude. Very helpful and knew the menu back and forth. We ordered the Q Rolls (brisket rolls), they were awesome. I wish they had cheese in them but needless to say the brisket was great and the shell was nice and crispy. I ordered the smoked chicken with Mac and Cheese and Fries. The whole meal was delicious. The manager came back to greet us while we were eating and talked to use for about 15 minutes. She was very funny and very nice to talk to. The whole experience was positive and the food was good. The chicken was even juicy the next day when I ate the leftovers. Great Spot! read more

Over priced, nothing on a plate but one food item each on a plate. z food horrible. Why are they still open? .

Bobby Qs is a must if you love bbq and are in the area! Their appetizers are to die for! I highly recommend the q rolls and wings. The q rolls are perfectly crispy and are stuff with tasty brisket. The chipotle dipping sauce adds the perfect amount of spice. I personally love mixing the dipping sauce. The wings are INCREDIBLE! I love they are smoky and you can choose to have them dipped in buffalo, ranch, or bbq. If coming for lunch, I recommend the brisket tacos. For dinner, I love all their sandwiches, but my personal fav is the pulled pork. I have yet to find a dish I didn't like. read more

The food was just ok. The barbecue was prepared pretty good, but portions were small for the money. I didn't really care for the barbecue sauce or the sides, which were very small portions for the price! I did order the chicken, corn and baked potato (which had all the toppings in one really small cup). I mentioned the portion sizes quite a bit, because I was kind of disappointed for my first visit to this restaurant! read more

This was my first time in and everything was perfect. We were greeted with a smile and checked on throughout our visit. All the food was fresh and delicious starting with the cornbread . The barbecue sauce is very light and didn't over power the meat allowing you to enjoy its quality. I usually don't like the water from restaurants but their water was even good. I went in a semi skeptic and left a patron. I will definitely be back soon. read more

This place is so goodd, when come correctly and having a good server. Really hit or miss because if your server is bad then the food will not be that good because it will be cold. If you can, get seated around the bar because that is where they put the best servers I've noticed. The food is great. Service is hit or miss. read more

This was one of the bbq places I have ever been to. Food was delicious . I had the specialty drink that is served in a glass pig cup and is presented on a wooden plate covered with a smock filled glass dome . I would highly recommend that drink . The Hog Heaven with some extra meat and sides was great for our group of 7 (6 adults and 1 toddler). The donuts at the end were so good! If you sit outdoors there are toasty outdoor heaters and a cute ambiance. Cameron is the best server! So friendly and attentive and not pushy. read more

Cameron did a fantastic job. He recommended the perfect amount of food and provided constant attention. We ordered the hogs order and found everything delicious. Brisket, ribs, Mac & cheese, corn, fries (surprisingly well seasoned), baked beans all were superb. The free extras like corn bread and donuts were delicious as well and made it feel above and beyond. We made a last minute reservation for Saturday night dinner and was quickly seated. Would recommend this place for a good time. Well done Cameron and Bobby Qs staff! read more

We were assisted by such a nice young lady, who was knowledgeable of the menu, and provided excellent recommendations. Portions are extremely large, and equally delicious. Everything we had was absolutely excellent. We're eager to visit again, being sure to save room for dessert next time; a lovely visit! read more

Yum and eeeee. This was some good azz BBQ folks!! Fall of the bone, don't even think about touching my Q. Callie was our Q server extraordinaire. Hey girl, hey. I see you. She was a doll face 10+ on the service she provided. Yazzz. On to the food! I had the baby back ribs, grilled vegetables and the ranch beans. Ribs were tender and robust (ha my kid said to use that word). My kiddo had the pulled brisket sandwich and said the roll was really good and the meat was good but a bit salty. She also had the mac n cheese and gave it a good thumbs up. Cornbread was realllyyyyy good, not better then mine tho but close! Needless to say no room for dessert! Good good food and great service. Will we return? That would be a yes... Shout out to my baby dolls at the front! They were sweetie pies. Heyyyyy ladies. I even did a love up aka pay it forward...for the table next to us! Beautiful restaurant, great environment, amazing food. Thank you Race, best person we could have asked for.

Sister, brother and I drove in from OC and LA California to celebrate our moms 77th birthday ( 7/5) . She wanted bbq and we took her to Bobby Q for dinner. Very nice restaurant walking in. Josh was our server/bar tender . Off the bat, great guy. He was very attentive and he kept the "sweetened teas" coming! Even tho my brother and sister order unsweetened, but we laughed about it! We ordered the The whole Hog heaven platter. Which was plenty of good for 5, even had leftovers to take home. Some us ordered salad, shrimp and calamari, very good. The ribs, pulled pork and brisket just fell apart, sauces we very good too. Sides we picked were shoe string fries, ranch beans, Mac n cheese. Mom can as very happy with her ice cream, brownie and whip cream they brought her. Funny she was worried she wasn't getting her donuts, but Josh assured her she would still get her donuts. So if you're in Mesa, AZ stop by Bobby Q's. I asked Josh if they had any restaurants in Cali, he said it used to be Bobby McGee's. But of course no longer around. read more

How does this place have such good reviews, people must have never had good bbq let alone Texas bbq. First off, the service is great. Now onto the important part, the food. Cornbread great not dry flavorful. Fried zucchini was too oily and for the price is way too expensive. Got less than 1 zucchini for $8. Ordered the wild hog combo with beef rib and baby back, brisket and rotisserie chicken, mac n cheese, beans, shoestring fries and an extra side of potato salad. Beef rib - decent Baby back ribs - good Brisket - lean part terrible, overly smoked and dry. Fatty side - passable in a bind. Chicken - passable Bbq sauce - not overly sweet but also not huge in flavor. Mac n cheese - decent Beans - just okay, seemed too watery and tasted like there was some pineapple Fries - my kids liked them Potato salad - way too much mayo, I understand potato salad has mayo but this was over the top Free donut- good read more

Food is great, great spot for families. We have been here twice. My only complaint is that they do not list all ingredients in foods. Tonight I got Mashed potato's (I did not get last time I was there) and like most restaurants they use "Pre-mixed" Ingredients. Unfortunately one of those ingredients is Chives, I have a severe allergy to onions. The menu did not have anything that indicated the mashed potato's had chives otherwise I wouldn't have ordered them. So that was disappointing that I ordered something for couldn't even eat. Aside from that the food is good, waiters are nice. I think for the amount of $$ we pay definitely there needs to be proper indicators for those who have allergies. Had I actually not seen the chives I could have had a very bad reaction. Per the waiters & Manager the mashed potato's cannot be made without chives ‍ read more

Another place I eat at that makes me feel like my life span has been shortened. "The Whole Hog" combo was delicious; two different ribs, pulled pork, bbq chicken, and three sides. The price was reasonable at $50. The corn bread is definitely worthy of a 5-star review on its own. Overall an excellent brunch experience! read more

It's one of the better BBQ spots. It's probably the fanciest of them all. The prices reflect that too! The cornbread is the best I've ever had. The donuts at the end are always terrific. The food itself, honestly tastes like most other bbq spots around. The Q ROLLS are awesome though! read more

The prices are high; and we considered not eating here. But; man! They have absolutely the best pulled pork and ribs that I have ever tasted. So tender and tasty. The portions are very generous too. We will definitely be coming back again. read more

First of all, the service was excellent. Didn't lack for anything all evening. The reservation--and I do recommend getting a reservation--went withhout a hitch. Was given a choice of dining room, bar patio table, or dining room patio. I chose dining room patio. We were entertaining friends from out of state. Eveyrbody really enjoyed their food and was so happy that we came here. One in our party had the pulled pork, two had the baby back ribs, one had a filet mignon, another had the roast chicken, and I had the two rib plate which is two half racks of your choice of St. Louis, baby backs, or beef ribs. I chose the St. Louis and baby back. Talk about great BBQ! The meat from my ribs fell off of the bone. Both were tender, smoked right, and had a wonderful flavor. And here, a whole rack of ribs is a whole rack, not some small rack that you get at other places. I was stuffed with only eating a half a rack. That's OK, though, as the left overs were so good the next day. Everyone scarfed down the round corn bread cakes. Butter was sufficient and honey couldn't have improved the flavor and moistness. My side of mac & cheese was absolutely yummy. You could come here just for that. Creamy and cheesy with a perfect flavor. My roast corn was good. I didn't like the lemonade. It tasted no better than Minute Maid (yuck). The complementary mini donuts were absolutely terrific. Wish I wasn't as full at that point to have more. I love the exterior. It looks like an expensive ranch house. Plants and landscaping make it comfortable. Some of the best BBQ I've ever had. Bring your BBQ hankerings here, you will not be disappointed. read more

Excellent food and service. Had a very good time. The ambiance was perfect. Amazing BBQ. The Texas ribs were the best I've had since Austin.
