I love the chill vibe of this bar. The lights are dimmed and the booths are cozy. You get a nice view of the distillation tanks in the background as you sip your drink at the round copper-topped bar. Arizona Distilling is located in the heart of Downtown Mesa. Since moving to Mesa, I have been enjoying checking out the downtown area and what it has to offer. This is great laid-back place to grab a drink. Arizona Distilling is the Valley's first whiskey distillery. I'm a big whiskey person and love that this place exists. Arizona Distilling serves up craft cocktails made with their own spirits. I have tried a couple of drinks while here. The Penny Chillin' was my first drink. It is a nice mix of bourbon and ginger that was recommended by my server. The Butter Perken is a good one too. There are a variety of drinks to choose from their menu. The bartenders are great and will wow you with their knowledge of these craft cocktails. If you love a good cocktail in a chill setting, Arizona Distilling is a good place to check out. There are lots of food options within walking distance in Downtown Mesa. The Metro light rail makes a stop not too far from here or you can just park for free on any of the side streets nearby. Swing by for early happy hour for discounted drinks.

Put me in front of a cleverly and carefully crafted cocktail and I become a Victorian man seeing a woman's ankle for the first time. Hubba hubba. Emeralds, copper, and a giant mural of the Arizona state flag. This dimly lit spot has given me my top two favorite cocktails I've had in 2025 so far. I thought my drink of the Beets & Rhymes was the best drink until my friend allowed me a sip of her Yuz Me Up. That was easily the best cocktail I've had all year. Citrusy, bright, with a lovely perfume of cilantro. If you're one of the ones that taste soap when having cilantro, you won't like this drink. As a cilantro lover though, I dig. I would come back for this cocktail, followed by the Beets & Rhythm (the beets will lower the liver enzymes after all the booze, okay?). Cheers, Yelpers! Come here. They make most of their spirits so rest assured that you are getting a taste of 'Zona and high-quality alcohol.

Arizona Distilling is one of those places that surprises you when you walk in - unassuming from the outside, but inside is a cool, dark, sexy, and vibey cocktail bar! In the words of Miss Yelp Ambassador, hubba hubba! Walking in, you see the entire seating area... and it's a wide open setup, from the centralized bar area with seating all around to the comfy oversized booths along the sides! In the back, you can see where all the distilling magic happens through the large glass wall! It's gorgeous and everything you think of when you imagine the perfect intimate setting for a cocktail bar. I opted for the Rebel's Son - a wonderful mix of Copper City Rye, Dopo Teatro Vino Amaro, Rosemary, Elderflower, Lemon, and Cinnamon! Wowza, it's delicious!! Bartender's are friendly and happily willing to offer drink suggestions and steer you in the right direction for your tastes! Arizona Distilling is one of those places that I cannot wait to return - to start off a night out... for happy hour... or for a night cap! A well-earned FIVE STARS! *****FIVE STARS*****

Recently came here for the first time and was very impressed! Walking past the entrance on Main Street, you wouldn't expect much, but as soon as you walk through the door, it feels like you stepped into a speakeasy. It's really cool! The ambiance inside is very classy and intimate. Loved the vibe of the whole place. The backdrop of the distillery behind the bar is so cool! The bartenders are all really nice and super helpful. They explain the drinks so well and don't rush you at all. Every drink we tried, we enjoyed! Personally, I ordered the Penny Chillin' and loved it! Such a good cocktail - I would definitely recommend it. Whether you're sitting at the bar or in a booth, you have a great seat in here. Next time you're walking down Main, you need to stop in at Arizona Distilling Co., this place is awesome!

From the moment we sat in the bar, I was just floored by the experience. We were first greeted by the owner and creator of the distillery. Then we are offered to take drinka on the tour and the bartender Kalo was absolutely amazing. We learned a lot about the history of Arizona and the owners love for the state. We will definitely be back. A great spot for a local or tourist.

What a gem! When we walked in we felt like we entered into another world. Beautiful, sophisticated atmosphere. Our drinks were so smooth and so well made. The bartenders are so skilled!

It's a must to ask for Micha and ask for a dealer's choice!!! Try the Beach please drink!!! To die for!!! He created it and I swear it's like a tropical beach palette!! He also made a passion fruit Fri k and a strawberry drink. The no Cap is delicious, excellent service

We were sad to see the Tempe location of AZ Distilling close, so when we found out about this location, we knew we wanted to stop by. This place's oozes ambiance. It's dark and brooding and I felt like my cool factor went up just by stepping into the place. We were happy to find out that we were there for happy hour which runs from 4-6 pm and offers 20% off drinks. You really can't go wrong with any drink you choose because the recipes are varied and tasty and the bartenders are talented. This is a great date spot!

This place is worth going to for a fun day out to do the tour, learn about distilling, have some tasting samples and then have a couple craft cocktails at their beautiful bar. I made reservations and bought tickets online for a Saturday 12:00 p.m. tour in Mesa AZ, very reasonably priced. We arrived in Mesa, very easy free public parking right behind the distillery. When you walk in the vibe is super sultry, beautiful bar. Jason the owner gave the tour, we were only only ones for 12, so it was a private tour. Jason was great, nice and very informative, passionate about his product. Olivia, the distiller Assistant was also in the tour, very friendly. At the end we had 4 complimentary samples. When the tour was done, of course my friend and I couldn't resist having a cocktail at the gorgeous bar, by this time there were quit a few customer enjoying themselves. We had a Old Fashion and a Verde Valley, both excellent. Keep in mind, they do not serve food, but you have some great dining places within walking distance, if you need to eat. Atmosphere: the bar is gorgeous very sultry. Cocktails: excellent. Service: excellent. The tour is worth it (short and informative)

Went back to AZ and we couldn't resist not stopping by for a couple drinks. Kalo (bartender) is awesome, very informative, upbeat and social. Came back with a bottle of their bourbon.

If you haven't been here, you have to. I highly recommend this bar. From the outside, it looks like it might not be open, but it is. This bar is different from the other bars on Main Street. It has a classy, intimate feel to it. Yet it doesn't feel snobbish. The bartender was amazing. He just had the best attitude. He answered questions and made suggestions. Watching him make our drinks was like watching a magic show. The drinks were amazing. I first had a dirty martini, which is one of my favorites. I also had a violet femme, and that was amazing. I was not aware that this is their second location. The Mesa location offers a one hour tour for $10 that includes 3 samples. You can book online. I am definitely planning to attend a tour and have another violet femme very soon.

I've been here a bunch of times over the years. Giving 4 stars simply due a mix of experiences, good and meh. Most recently we sat at the cocktail bar ordered a beer & whiskey sour. Drinks came quickly but then it took a while for anyone to ask if we wanted food (we originally intended to). I think what happened is that our original bartender may have gone on break, while a new person coming on shift was busy doing things and didn't know to check with us since we already had drinks in front of us. It wasn't a major issue. It just created a long gap which gave us the option to decide to go elsewhere. We also noticed the beer we ordered was flat and we eventually let the new bartender know. She offered to get us a pint of something else but we had decided today wasn't our day at 12 West and move on. Typically beers are great, cocktails are solid, and food is good too. But a friend wanted to meet for food around the area and this spit popped up on Yelp. It didn't disappoint! I was skeptical at first as having a sign posted at the sidewalk and a bouncer outside the stairs going down, was a sheer sign that this isn't such a secret and speakeasy-like spot. But I was proven wrong very quickly. Dre who was the bouncer and I'd much rather call Drayden, is young but friendly. The hall leading down to the entrance was well decorated. It's hard to miss the door when you can hear people on the other side :). Hostess was nice. Alex immediately introduced himself from behind the bar as I sat down, and Meagan was the main bartender this night. They were both a wealth of knowledge when it came to cocktails. I really wasn't expecting too much but the two drinks I ordered were a solid 5/5. I had the silk bandit and the untold legacy. I like sweet drinks this way. It wasn't too sweet. There are some things I really love about The White Rabbit and some that I didn't. Ambiance (3/5): When I think of a speakeasy, I think intimate. The White Rabbit is not that. It's pretty large for a speakeasy with a large bar and a good number of tables/booths. They weren't at capacity while I was there, but there were a good number of people there. Which made it pretty loud. To the point where you have to yell at your bartender when ordering your drink so they can hear you. Perhaps a much different experience on a week day. Getting in the speakeasy was both a hit and a miss. If you're subscribed to their email list, as I am, you get a different password every month. I was excited about this. Upon approaching The White Rabbit, I saw a sign naming the establishment and pointing me in the right direction. This takes away from the spirit of speakeasies which are supposed to be truly hidden without any signage identifying the restaurant. You'll see a velvet rope blocking a stairwell where you tell one of the bouncers the password. I had a reservation. If you don't know the password, as another party there didn't, they ask you to access a QR code to find out or ask others who are waiting. I appreciated the dedication to the cause. Once you get in, you walk down the stairwell, and then enter a cool hallway decked out with Prohibition-style decor. That leads you into the main room. The main room is also Prohibition-style though a bit unremarkable. The bathrooms are clean and also feature some cool paintings (and they also hide that they are actual bathrooms). With that being said, when I liked the hallway and the bathrooms better than the bar itself, that's a bit of an issue. Seats at the bar are bar stools without back support. Never fun for my old man back. I did, on the other hand, appreciate that they have free WiFi. Service (3.5/5): The service was generally pretty good, though a bit slow. They start you off with some water without asking you which is always a nice touch. It was just one of those situations where you have to put some effort into getting a bartender's attention on several occasions. Food (N/A): I had dinner prior so no food for me. I did check out the menu. They have a small selection of appetizers, flatbreads, and desserts. Drinks (3/5): When I'm at a speakeasy, I'm looking for creativity and an interesting blend of ingredients and flavors. While The White Rabbit has a good number of cocktails, many of them didn't attract me. Part of it is a matter of personal preference. There were only two drinks out of about 20 that I was interested in. Overall, I wanted a little more, but with that being said, the drinks were reasonably priced for a speakeasy. Not a bad speakeasy by any means, I have super high standards when it comes to these watering holes. Just not in my top five when it comes to speakeasies in Phoenix and surrounding areas.

We weren't fans of the brandy spritz, although my friend grew into it. The primrose martini was quite good, I liked it better than the appletini. For snackies, we ordered the glizzy gaunlet, which was basically a tower of carbs. It came with 5 mini dogs with milk bread, and potato wedges. There were 3 sauces, my favorite in order were the: truffle dijonnaise, kosho aioli, and korean ketchup. We enjoyed this more than the food at Filthy Animal. Although it was pricey ($22) for just carbs and hardly any protein. The milk bread was delicious and the mini dogs were pretty good too. The potato wedges were cooked perfectly, slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Would I return? Probably not. The food was better than the drinks but it wasn't outstanding.

The place is a little small, but honestly, that's what I love about it. It feels cozy in all the right ways.
