When you first walk in you feel like you have stepped back in time, cozy booths, gorgeous wrap around bar, bartenders that make you feel like an old friend, and music that was upbeat and not too loud. Our bartender took the time to listen to what we liked, made suggestions without trying to upsale us. The drinks were amazing, each person in our party loved what they ordered and it was fun to try a sip from each glass. The Float was delicious, the Espresso Yourself with the finished bourbon ice cream was sooooo good. We all wished we would have stayed there...

I love the chill vibe of this bar. The lights are dimmed and the booths are cozy. You get a nice view of the distillation tanks in the background as you sip your drink at the round copper-topped bar. Arizona Distilling is located in the heart of Downtown Mesa. Since moving to Mesa, I have been enjoying checking out the downtown area and what it has to offer. This is great laid-back place to grab a drink. Arizona Distilling is the Valley's first whiskey distillery. I'm a big whiskey person and love that this place exists. Arizona Distilling serves up craft cocktails made with their own spirits. I have tried a couple of drinks while here. The Penny Chillin' was my first drink. It is a nice mix of bourbon and ginger that was recommended by my server. The Butter Perken is a good one too. There are a variety of drinks to choose from their menu. The bartenders are great and will wow you with their knowledge of these craft cocktails. If you love a good cocktail in a chill setting, Arizona Distilling is a good place to check out. There are lots of food options within walking distance in Downtown Mesa. The Metro light rail makes a stop not too far from here or you can just park for free on any of the side streets nearby. Swing by for early happy hour for discounted drinks.

Put me in front of a cleverly and carefully crafted cocktail and I become a Victorian man seeing a woman's ankle for the first time. Hubba hubba. Emeralds, copper, and a giant mural of the Arizona state flag. This dimly lit spot has given me my top two favorite cocktails I've had in 2025 so far. I thought my drink of the Beets & Rhymes was the best drink until my friend allowed me a sip of her Yuz Me Up. That was easily the best cocktail I've had all year. Citrusy, bright, with a lovely perfume of cilantro. If you're one of the ones that taste soap when having cilantro, you won't like this drink. As a cilantro lover though, I dig. I would come back for this cocktail, followed by the Beets & Rhythm (the beets will lower the liver enzymes after all the booze, okay?). Cheers, Yelpers! Come here. They make most of their spirits so rest assured that you are getting a taste of 'Zona and high-quality alcohol.

Arizona Distilling is one of those places that surprises you when you walk in - unassuming from the outside, but inside is a cool, dark, sexy, and vibey cocktail bar! In the words of Miss Yelp Ambassador, hubba hubba! Walking in, you see the entire seating area... and it's a wide open setup, from the centralized bar area with seating all around to the comfy oversized booths along the sides! In the back, you can see where all the distilling magic happens through the large glass wall! It's gorgeous and everything you think of when you imagine the perfect intimate setting for a cocktail bar. I opted for the Rebel's Son - a wonderful mix of Copper City Rye, Dopo Teatro Vino Amaro, Rosemary, Elderflower, Lemon, and Cinnamon! Wowza, it's delicious!! Bartender's are friendly and happily willing to offer drink suggestions and steer you in the right direction for your tastes! Arizona Distilling is one of those places that I cannot wait to return - to start off a night out... for happy hour... or for a night cap! A well-earned FIVE STARS! *****FIVE STARS*****

The drinks were unique and amazing! The service was also great. Highly recommend visiting.

Recently came here for the first time and was very impressed! Walking past the entrance on Main Street, you wouldn't expect much, but as soon as you walk through the door, it feels like you stepped into a speakeasy. It's really cool! The ambiance inside is very classy and intimate. Loved the vibe of the whole place. The backdrop of the distillery behind the bar is so cool! The bartenders are all really nice and super helpful. They explain the drinks so well and don't rush you at all. Every drink we tried, we enjoyed! Personally, I ordered the Penny Chillin' and loved it! Such a good cocktail - I would definitely recommend it. Whether you're sitting at the bar or in a booth, you have a great seat in here. Next time you're walking down Main, you need to stop in at Arizona Distilling Co., this place is awesome!

Drinks 10/10! Dobe is a master of his craft. My husband and I went in on a Sunday afternoon for a quick drink and ended up staying for over 2 hours enjoying some of the best craft cocktails we've ever had. Chill and a bit sexy ambiance with dim lighting. Music is fire, had my Shazam out the whole time (Dobe on the aux), and drinks were an experience in itself. We had the No Cap, G & Tea, and Sunset Sherbet. Definitely one of our favorite spots to grab a drink!

What a gem! When we walked in we felt like we entered into another world. Beautiful, sophisticated atmosphere. Our drinks were so smooth and so well made. The bartenders are so skilled!

From the moment we sat in the bar, I was just floored by the experience. We were first greeted by the owner and creator of the distillery. Then we are offered to take drinka on the tour and the bartender Kalo was absolutely amazing. We learned a lot about the history of Arizona and the owners love for the state. We will definitely be back. A great spot for a local or tourist.

It's a must to ask for Micha and ask for a dealer's choice!!! Try the Beach please drink!!! To die for!!! He created it and I swear it's like a tropical beach palette!! He also made a passion fruit Fri k and a strawberry drink. The no Cap is delicious, excellent service

We were sad to see the Tempe location of AZ Distilling close, so when we found out about this location, we knew we wanted to stop by. This place's oozes ambiance. It's dark and brooding and I felt like my cool factor went up just by stepping into the place. We were happy to find out that we were there for happy hour which runs from 4-6 pm and offers 20% off drinks. You really can't go wrong with any drink you choose because the recipes are varied and tasty and the bartenders are talented. This is a great date spot!

This place is worth going to for a fun day out to do the tour, learn about distilling, have some tasting samples and then have a couple craft cocktails at their beautiful bar. I made reservations and bought tickets online for a Saturday 12:00 p.m. tour in Mesa AZ, very reasonably priced. We arrived in Mesa, very easy free public parking right behind the distillery. When you walk in the vibe is super sultry, beautiful bar. Jason the owner gave the tour, we were only only ones for 12, so it was a private tour. Jason was great, nice and very informative, passionate about his product. Olivia, the distiller Assistant was also in the tour, very friendly. At the end we had 4 complimentary samples. When the tour was done, of course my friend and I couldn't resist having a cocktail at the gorgeous bar, by this time there were quit a few customer enjoying themselves. We had a Old Fashion and a Verde Valley, both excellent. Keep in mind, they do not serve food, but you have some great dining places within walking distance, if you need to eat. Atmosphere: the bar is gorgeous very sultry. Cocktails: excellent. Service: excellent. The tour is worth it (short and informative)

The server, Wes, was very prompt, brought us water right away. He answered our questions about drinks and the menu and made excellent suggestions for a starter. We had the queso fundido, to start. Chef Roberto was nominated as the 2024 up-and-coming chef. This restaurant is perfect for a romantic date night or a large gathering. One side of the restaurant features a large bar along with smaller tables. Then, on the other side of the restaurant there are larger tables. I love how the intimate dining is separate from larger gatherings. Definitely a lot of thought and planning went into the Layout of this restaurant. When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by the hostess. Behind her was a small case featuring oysters. The young woman that seated us was kind and showed us to our seat. Our servers name was Nicki. She was also very friendly and had very good recommendations. To drink I started off with The Phoenix and my husband had a bottled beer. My drink was very delicious. Freshly squeezed citrus juices gave it a bit of a tart taste. It was definitely a deliciously crafted cocktail. For dinner I chose to have the restaurant week menu. Please see photo below. I selected the Birria dumplings. They consisted of Wagyu beef cheek, cabbage slaw, roasted corn, confit, mushrooms, bok choy, beef, broth, and chili sauce. We both thoroughly enjoyed them and would definitely get them again. For my main course, I selected the K4 flat iron steak, prepared, medium rare. It was accompanied by Chiltepin sauce - potatoes - flour tortilla - beans. There was definitely something about the potatoes and how they were dry roasted, then added to the beans. The way the potatoes absorbed the residual liquid from the beans created a delicious melody of flavors. Steak was delicious and perfectly. K4 is a. premium Meat shop in Prescott, Arizona. For Dessert, I ordered the Keylime pie. I have to admit I do not like Keylime pie but today I have seen the light! Or should I say spirit? Esprirtu's Keylime pie is the best I have ever had. Less like a traditional pie it's layered and cut into a square. The lime zest on top gave it that extra finishing touch of tart. Thank you to the entire staff for a very delicious and memorable meal. We will absolutely positively be returning.

The most recent was…read moreon a Thursday night around 10:30 p.m. This speakeasy is located on Mill Ave., the center of Tempe's party scene. Because of its location, parking isn't easy. If you're looking for free parking, you're going to have a long walk. Outside of that, you'll have to pay for parking in a garage or metered street parking. Ambiance (4/5): Hint hint. Idle Hands is located inside Devil's Hideaway. A true speakeasy shouldn't have signage outside indicating its location. Unfortunately, there's a sign for Idle Hands outside of Devil's Hideaway which takes away the sense of mystery and intrigue that a true speakeasy provides. Outside of this hiccup, it's a cool speakeasy. It's intimate, with 10 or so seats at the bar and about 10 seats in booths facing the bar. There's a projector screen behind the bar that had mystical motion graphics the first time I stopped by (thinking wizards) and Halloween motion graphics the second time (with it being a day before the holiday). There were some other Halloween decorations up. The only area of improvement? The music often doesn't match the vibe. A lot of the music they were playing on my last visit was Irish music that would be fitting for a pub. Service (4/5): I had the same bartender each time. He knows how to make a good drink and is pretty efficient. When you close out, he only gives you the merchant copy. Which is a pet peeve of mine. Let me get that customer copy too. But overall, a good experience. Especially at a college bar. Food (N/A): I've only had drinks both times. Idle Hands actually doesn't have food, but Devil's Hideaway does. And you're allowed to bring food from there into the speakeasy. Drinks (4.5/5): It's pretty surprising to see a speakeasy on a college campus. I was impressed with the creativity of the menu, both in terms of the ingredients used and the fusion of flavors. I've had a different cocktail each time, and they've all been great. My favorite was one served in a box filled with smoke. Talk about a cool presentation! The hallmarks of a solid speakeasy are elevated cocktails, nice ambiance (dimly lit), an intimate space, and mystery/intrigue. While the intrigue is lacking at Idle Hands, and the music can be improved, they hit it out of the park in the other areas. One of my favorite speakeasies I've been to in Phoenix (and surrounding areas). I am, after all, the self-appointed king of speakeasies. The king gives his stamp of approval.

What can I say about this place that hasn't already been said time and time again? Everything from…read morethe service to the ambiance is top-notch. Of course, this place is known for its cocktails, so naturally they should be great--but trust me, I've been to several cocktail-only establishments that were lackluster. Absolutely NOT the case here. You could literally put all the pages of the menu on a wall, throw a dart, and whatever you hit would be delicious and interesting in its own right. The place is a little small, but honestly, that's what I love about it. It feels cozy in all the right ways. It's also very relaxing, floating along the sea with some delightful surprises here and there. We ordered several drinks, but one that's not on the menu (and they do make it) is the Pearl Diver, which is magnificent here. The mixologists and servers are all amazing and should be proud of themselves for bringing such an experience to Gilbert.
