I've not had luck at Bob Evan's for some time now. Several other locations for various reasons. This location, Huber Village, was close by on an evening after my daughter's swim class. I decided to give Bob another chance. I did a pick up order and saved myself from cooking that late that evening. Two things. One of the bag handles came undone - this dumped half a kids cup pf soda - and one side was missing. Given the containers are pretty solid, the soda didn't ruin things, only made a mess. The food was great! While in the store and while on the call to report the issues, the staff and manager were very professional and courteous. The next day I stopped by to pick up my missing side and the all different staff members and managers went above and beyond to make it right. I highly recommend this Bob Evan's! Can't get a order right to save their life. Bob evans has gone downhill since they were sold off.

Went for breakfast on the day after Thanksgiving. We were seated promptly and our server, Amber, greeted us quickly. She took our drink orders and headed to fetch them. The restaurant was very cold! We had to keep our coats on and we noticed that most, if not all, the patrons did the same. In fact most of the staff wore jackets as well. Amber returned with our coffee and tea, took our order and was off again. My wife ordered the Farmer's Choice breakfast and I asked for the Banana-Berry Farmer's Choice. It took a little long before our meals arrived but we expected that since the restaurant (like all other restaurants) is short staffed. Our meals arrived and, for the most part, they were good. My wife's french toast tasted a little strange. Not really bad but not what you would expect french toast to taste like. She couldn't finish it but was happy with the eggs and home fries. Bob Evans pancakes have definitely gone down hill. My blueberry pancakes had no flavor at all. The syrup didn't even offer much flavor. I will never order their pancakes again. My eggs and home fries were fine, though. Our server, Amber, was great though. She really took care of us well despite being over worked from lack of staff. Stopped in with my family on Father's Day (busy as you can imagine) there was about a 15 minute wait. The host was nice and friendly, the manager was very nice as well and super friendly, our server Michael was attentive and very good especially how busy it was. How does a restaurant like Bob Evans run out of carrots at 12:30 pm???? The answer I got from the store is this happens. Well if this is common for Bob Evans then I'm not interested in getting food here. I mean if it were evening time I would understand, but it's the start of the lunch/dinner day. Also I used the app to order yet, I was not called to be told about this until the food was being picked up. The excuse they used - allegedly it was a manager I was talking to - was that they didn't have my phone number. This was actually me giving BE another chance. A few weeks ago I ordered a Turkey bacon sandwich that came to me with ZERO bacon. I talked to a manager who offered for me to come get a new one or get a gift card. I could not run out again to get a new sand which so I opted for a gift card. Several weeks later and I've yet to see the gift card. They are supposed to give me a refund for this meal on my card, I've yet to see a refund even submitted. I called corporate and I get the excuse that no one is available to take my complaint. I guess you'd rather I just put bad reviews online. Until I hear back I have no reason to believe anything but that customers don't matter to you and therefore you don't deserve my money or my time. Order my Sunshine Skillet online. Was happy when I walked in 2 mins early and my order was ready. They staple shut the bag so I just put it in my passenger and went home. As I was taking the food out of the bag I noticed they forgot the 2 grape jam the I said to please add for my toast. Sat down to eat and noticed that my sunshine skillet didn't have any sausage only the gravy, potatoes and cheese. Have been going to this Bob Evans for 25 years, but I have some serious reservations about going back. They now have 2 managers to run this store and still can't run it. Was not busy about 1/8 of the seats filled. Food took 30 minutes to arrive. Person behind us flagged down waitress to get his food that sat for 15 minutes on the counter only to be returned since it was cold. No more bread with meals bad choice. Food is not as flavorful as it used to be. Store used to be run with 1 manager, got our food within 8 minutes and bread. Whoever is running this restaurant now needs to open their eyes. They don't have the customers they used to have, they've left because of being cheap and poorly run. Unless they regroup I don't see this place improving. read more

Do NOT eat at this location. I had a grilled chicken salad there. I cut into the chicken and it was raw. The manager at the time asked me if I wanted to keep my salad...that had raw chicken on it while he got them to cook new chicken. This tells you the serious lack of training they have when it comes to food preparation there. I did not go back for a while. My kids love pancakes so we recently revisited and I tried the grilled chicken again. This time it was cooked but unfortunately that night I was sick. By far the worst food poisoning I have ever had. Clearly this Bob Evans needs help from corporate. It was my first time in today, the place was just about empty and there were 4 employees standing around. No one greeted us, but they saw us. I actually said, "can we sit anywhere?" as I was confused why no one was coming over to seat us. The woman who sat us said not one word such as "sorry" or "enjoy your lunch" or "XXX will be your server." Then we are seated and again no one comes to greet us and to get our drink orders. My mother said let's leave. We got up, and same as before, staff just standing there as they watched us leave. I had the Sunshine skillet... the egg was not cooked all the way through, and the entire meal was Luke warm at best. The coffee was weak and warm as well. The place didn't appear to be busy, the waitress walked by a few times and didn't seem to notice the meal wasn't being consumed or just didn't care. Ordered online at 11:30 am for lunch and picked up my meal. Was surprised to see prime rib on the menu. I tried it and won't get it again. Very tough and chewy with little flavor. Ok, it's Bob Evans, not a steak place. Also ordered two family soups for our dinner which were good. When I arrived at carry out, another customer said he didn't receive his family sized soup. The server/cashier was visibly annoyed and said to him "I know I gave you the soup" and then after he left with a new soup she told me that this patron was not truthful. I went to Bob Evans this morning but before I did, I called, and damned if they don't open at SIX A.M.!! That sure surprised me, given today is Sunday. Anyway I had my usual; two biscuits and a large bowl of sausage gravy. And sometimes I get two or three eggs too but today I didn't. Nobody in town makes better sausage gravy, you can bet on that. Greasy Bob's: it's right around the corner from my house, and the staff was very cool when we brought the baby here for our first trip out of the house (they found us a quiet corner, and found us a new table when we looked cramped.) Other than that, it's just like every other Bob Evans. You're better off at The Pancake House or Best Breakfast and Sandwiches, but when you can't get a table at one of those places you can always come here. read more

I would rate Bob Evans 2/5. First, the food was a small portion. Second, our chicken was not all the way cooked. And third, the waitress never smiled. And she talked bluntly, but if she really did care she would put a great amount of effort into her work. Even if it is a small business. The cooking was decent i would say they should put time into putting everything together. Example, my bacon burger kept falling apart. The lettuce was very wet and looked old. I had to pick it off. So they should watch what they are working on. I would say not just from my perspective but from others that, they did bring a good amount of bread. But they took a while to bring us tea. For people that need a drink with their food, this was very difficult for those people. Everything looked clean to use, so that was great. Bob Evans is a great place for breakfast but with the removal of their Beef Stroganoff from the menu I'm afraid i won't be going there too often for lunch. They do have excellent chicken soup though. This location is pretty clean and you get good service. You may have to wait early in the AM for breakfast though but usually not more than 10 minutes or so. read more

I just got home from having Thanksgiving dinner with my sister at this Bob Evans location. It was very busy. I don't know how long larger groups had to wait but we were able to sit at the counter immediately. It looked as if the wait was about 15-20 minutes. Sitting at the counter we were able to see everything going on except for the actual kitchen. We got excellent service and had a "floor show" watching the staff get meals for both in store and carry out put together and out to the customers. Because of how busy it was the kitchen staff was stretched to the limit of their capabilities but they did keep up. We both had the Thanksgiving special meal of Turkey and dressing, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, coleslaw, rolls and a piece of pie. The food was delicious, hot and served very quickly. i believe our wait was about 5 minutes from the time we ordered. For 16.99 each, we both had enough to take home leftovers for another meal later! The waitress rarely came to our table and when she did, it was to tell us our food would be "right out"...which it was no where near out! On a Friday around 12:30 PM I was seated right away. I ordered and got my food surprisingly fast. I had the USDA choice sirloin and it was the best steak I've eaten in months! Even better than some I've head at nearby chain steak houses. It was incredibly tender, great flavor, and was topped with lots of onions and mushrooms. It also was a very edible size, and I didn't feel stuffed after eating it. For sides I had broccoli (cooked okay) and french fries (so many that they came on a separate plate). Great location with friendly service. I tried to enjoy my experience here but couldn't. The meal I order for the price was ridiculously smaller portioned compared to other Bob Evans I've been to. My meal also was flavorless and lacked most of the items they consist of. However they do offer some of the best OJ I've ever tasted. Oh yeah they have pretty good honey as well.
