Decided I would do a little breakfast this afternoon and decided to stop at Bob Evan's in Huber Village. I ordered a Western Omelet with Hash Browns and Biscuits. The omelet wasn't cooked enough, a lot of liquid inside. Hash browns definitely had been sitting for awhile and just barely reheated on the grill. The biscuits were a little hard and just barely warm. Had to ask for jelly, it might be a good idea to ask customers if they would like some since it isn't on the table. There was only one more table being served while I was there, yet my server didn't come back to refill my water. On to management who stood up at the counter and chatted with another employee about their families. I would say their Senior Management could make a couple after hours visits and find some things to improve the service at this restaurant. read more

Met a friend for a lunch and we both haven't been to Bob's in forever and decided to meet up at the Huber Village Blvd location. Food - was good. Not bad at all but there has definitely been a decline in quality over the last decade. Service - our service was friendly and was like Mamaw was serving us. Only critique here is it seriously took way too long to be seated and to check out. Oh and they had to go clear off a table. I think they may have been understaffed and not bussing tables. Inside and out, it's the traditional Bob Evans layout and design. Our server on two separate occasions if we wanted their Blue Ribbon Bacon or Cinna-Biscuits to start. Not sure if she was on autopilot or if they are hard pushing the appetizers but we were like no thank you. I ordered the Blue Plate $7.99 special with Chicken fried steak, green beans, and mashed potatoes and gravy. I went with the biscuits as a side and mixed some honey and butter together for a spread for the biscuits. It was a solid choice. Love the staff and atmosphere. However, quality of food continues to disappoint compared to decades ago. Portions are smaller. A side of ham is sliced thinner and is not as lien. I could not cut some of the ham with a table knife, let alone chew it. Greasy - the ammount of butter/oil used, my eggs were swimming in it on my plate. Marsha and I decided to only go here to Bob Evans on Veterans Day instead of going to other places. that also offered free meal incentives to eat. That way we could have a relaxed, leisurely breakfast without the need to rush to other restaurants. It was a wonderful plan to come to the restaurant after the morning rush on Veterans Day. There were ample handicapped spots to park to help remove my walker since I was also having to wear a sling after injuring my shoulder. As we walked in, there was no delay in being seated and the whole restaurant was clean and aromatic with all the mixed delicious smells of food. Lee was friendly, courteous, very knowledgeable about the special menu, and helpful to me beyond expectations (pushing me and my chair to the table (since my arm was in a sling). We have come to Huber Ridge Bob Evans many times and the service and the food are always top-notch. Although it was a little difficult to eat with the sling on my arm, Lee, General Mgr. who was also a server today, was accommodating. Marsha and I ordered the Veterans Day special: the chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans served with tasty banana nut bread -- which of course, we bought an extra loaf to take home. Lee brought our drinks and entrees very quickly. Everything was hot! My chicken-fried steak was tender, on the inside with a nice crispness on the outside, and topped with plenty of hot, flavorful gravy. Mashed potatoes were hot and slathered with delicious brown gravy, two sunny-side eggs cooked perfectly (no broken or hard yolks), and green beans that were tender and seasoned well. Did I say that our food was HOT? This was a wonderful delight to Marsha and me. There is also ample handicapped parking. I especially appreciate the wide aisles that enable me to get to my table and the staff also help to move my walker from the immediate area to not interfere with other patrons. Our server, Anna, was knowledgeable about the food and knew the menu well. We ordered our food and it was delivered in a decent time, not a long wait time. Our food was very tasty. As I was eating, I took a bite and found a dark hair in my food! I was disgusted and finished with my meal. John called our server over and told her what I had found in my food. She apologized and immediately checked to see if it was hers. I assured her that it wasn't hers because it was in my food! She apologized and took my plate and said she would get me a new plate. By that point I wasn't interested in eating anything else! Anna packed my food in a to go container and bag. This event allowed us to meet the couple seated at the table next to us. Update: After 11 months, we went back, and we will never go back. The store was out of soda, out of onion rings, out of Mac-n-cheese, and water refills were once again, non-existent. How does this location stay in business? They certainly won't be getting it from us anymore. Not sure where customer service has gone, because it's not at this location. Drink refills are rare. Not once did I see anyone other than the busboy clean anything off the tables. The waitresses let dirty dishes pile up on the tables. If you're walking back empty handed, you're being lazy. On top of that, the BE app is useless. The store can't scan the barcode on the phone and therefore using the "coupon" is nonexistent. Restroom looked like someone was going through a colon cleanse. Mom wanted Bob Evans, and I had a gift card, so off we went. It's never my first choice; I have fond memories of it from childhood, but it seems to have gone downhill since. Still, this location gave me the best experience I've had at one in a long time. Service was great, from host to server to cashier. It was busy, noon on a Sunday, and full, but no line and we got seated in 5 minutes. Drinks, etc., came out reasonably fast. They forgot mom's extra gravy, but no major mixups. It was loud, due to the crowd and a few unrestrained kids. She had the pot roast, and enjoyed it. I had the burger and soup or salad deal. Good, big burger, with fresh lettuce and fair tomato. Pretty darn good. Chose a cup of sausage chili, and it was pretty good too. Thick, tasty, with chives and cheese on top. Price was reasonable, less than $20 for two of us. My first time at a Bob Evans and we had a great time thanks to excellent service by Martina, who kept on checking on us. Prices are very low, a whole entree with sides for under $10 and the food quality is much better than the comparable Cocos, Dennys, IHOP or Marie Callendars. We got the chicken pot pie and broasted chicken. I was pleased there were no charges to change our sides as the default side is the BE signature coleslaw (which is deliciously sweet like KFC's). The mashed potatoes were a little watery, but we got a whole extra bowl of gravy with it (you can choose chicken, brown or white southern gravy). The best part about BE is you get your choice of bread which is included with your meal: signature Parker house roll, banana or pumpkin bread, or biscuit. Hello, Midwest dining! Also, unlimited refills on hot chocolate! My partner got three, and then Martina gave b an additional one in a to-go cup! Take your receipt to the counter cashier to pay instead of giving cash or card to your server directly. Sunday 7/9/23 10:25 am. Maybe 10 people in the entire place and no one waiting. Person greeting says it will be a 10 minute wait to seat us because only have 2 servers. There were 4 people behind the counter but only 2 were servers. All the other restaurants in the area have recovered from the pandemic but this place continues to go down hill. I had some issues with carry out and delivery from here but I thought to give them another chance. I think they need to close this location until their management gets straightened out. Too bad. We go to Bob Evans a lot. We like the casual dining experience and the food is usually dependable. This is the first time at this location. It was not busy and now I know why. Service is subpar. Aside from taking our order and delivering drinks/food, our waiter was MIA. No refills on drinks which were visibly empty for a long period of time. My wife had to track down the waiter because things were going so slow and we even took our desserts to go. The food itself was disappointing. Had the featured turkey dinner and it was dry as a bone and even had the tell-tale signs of being nuked in the microwave for too long. Really disappointing. My wife's pot roast was OK. I would not recommend this location although to be fair, it was just a one time dinner, so YMMV read more

Stopped by for brunch with my son. We waited at the front for about 10 minutes for a table. The two hostesses which looked like twins were very quiet and seemed to have no personality whatsoever. When they seat us, there are like 5 tables cleaned off and available. Don't know why we had to wait. Rachel was our waitress and she was very personable and attentive to our table. I had the Mushroom Steakburger with mushrooms, onions, and A1 Sauce and my son had the big egg breakfast with bacon. Both of our meals were very filling and good. When we went to the register to pay, there were 3 people behind the counter but would not look at me to offer to help. So there we stood willing to pay but no one willing to help. My last review of this restaurant was in October last year and at the time I gave it a 2-star review. My rating - at that time - was based on a combination of service and food quality. It's been a while since I was last in a Bob Evans so we decided to give it another try -- to see if things had changed either for the better or for the worse. We visited the restaurant after church on Sunday which was typically one of their busier times and usually entailed a wait to get seated. Today there was no line and we were seated immediately and there were empty tables during the entire time we were there. Our waitress was very pleasant and friendly but service overall was still pretty spotty -- wrong salad dressing on my wife's salad and a pretty skimpy serving of dressing; wrong potatoes served with her entree (fries in instead of hash browns) and wrong bread with order. All miscues were corrected immediately when we mentioned them but it seems that there were just a lot of errors with the order considering the restaurant wasn't slammed at the time. As for the food -- we both ordered the shrimp dinner and the fried shrimp were very good. My wife's hash-browns (when she got them) were better that my french fries which were pretty generic and uninspired. I ordered a cup of chili as part of my "combo meal" and it was especially disappointing. The flavor was fine but the texture/consistency of the chili was really disappointing. The ground sausage had been ground very fine compared to what you usually find in chili -- giving it a very thin consistency. Even the small quantity of beans didn't add much substance to the chili. Overall, the service was OK but not great; the food was OK but not great and the overall experience was OK but not great. As I said in my last review (a year ago) -- there are too many other GOOD places to eat to waste your time and money at Bob Evans. read more

I haven't eaten at a Bob Evan's since like 1995 when Bob himself was still in business. Then he sold it over and now the food is all bagged. It's not as fresh as it used to be, back when I went in Delaware. The menu's have a changed a little bit but the food quality is just not as fresh. I ordered the farm house breakfast which came with 2 slices of french toast, eggs and bacon. Considering I was hungry I ate almost all of it since I hadn't had breakfast and I was meeting my classmates here to study for my finals. My other classmate got the same thing and they messed up her order on the eggs and bacon. The bacon was under cooked and the eggs had cheddar cheese and not American cheese she wanted. My other classmate ordered the toast and home fries (which was basically hash browns cut up). She liked her meal and was satisfied with the coffee. The waitress did a good job, considering my classmate thought the first table I got was too small and she wanted to move to the back table section to have more room to study. They didn't mind and let us be there for as long as we liked. Ended up studying there for 4 hours. Thanks to Bob Evans for being curteous and letting us take up a table section for 4 hours. Visited on 8/21/2021. Had a very simple take out order of six rolls, chicken noodles soup, and sunshine skillet. When I got to the car, I checked my rolls, as I have been given stale ones before. Half of them were smashed rolls that had not risen before baking or something. They replaced. I went home to discover dried up mushy noodle soup. Was not edible. Called the restaurant and they were going to put a credit back on my debit card. I have called three times now and still no credit. Anyone who bagged that food knew exactly what they were serving. It's a shame that employees take no pride in their work. And to think I tipped for that is just infuriating. read more

You will find all of the same wonderful food and great service that you'll find at every other Bob Evans, of course. The service here is definitely more consistent and always enjoyable compared to almost every other similar style restaurant in the area. The best part about this Bob Evans store is its proximity to I-270. It's right off the beltway so you can pop in and out anytime you're in the northeastern quadrant of our fair city. The other thing about this Bob Evans is that you never have to wait long for the great food they serve even when there's a line at the door. Their service is as good as their food as well. Went in for the Turkey and Dressing special, and yes we had coupons. First of all the service was fantastic. Fast and kept in contact thru the meal, bringing in all refills without being asked. Food was hot and good. Will go back again. I was upset that they would not accept our coupons. They said because the food was already discounted they would not use our coupons. What?! Went after church on Easter Sunday was a little surprised that we beat the crowd they were a little busy but i seen worst here. Our waitress was great she constantly checked on us and keep a good conversation going. The food came out a little slower than normal, but i wasn't that upset because when it came out the food was spectacular. I hadn't visited this restaurant in years since I got the dinner sticker shock a few years ago when I ate here with my Mom and son and dinner here cost us almost forty dollars and it wasn't all that. So I was craving Winter comfort food when I stopped in and my go to was always half of a pot roast sandwich with a bowl of beef vegetable soup.
