Stopped in on Sunday morning. Well, it was 10:30am. Sat ourselves. And we were welcomed, like always. But then, we were invisible. No one came over to wait on us. Waitress waited on a table that came in long after we arrived. So we left. So sad. We used to come here all the time. Not anymore. Went across the street to Sunny Street Cafe. This is my first time awarding a Waffle House 5 stars, and rightfully so. This was THE BEST Waffle House I've ever been to. Shout out to our waitress Ruby because she was the absolute sweetest girl! Not to leave out the other staff who were too, absolutely amazing. This was a first time experience for me considering most Waffle Houses are not this well in etiquette. It was also the cleanest Waffle House I've ever experienced. We're talking floors swept and tables wiped around here, Taj Mahal style. It should seriously be the example for every other restaurant. I would definitely recommend this fine dining establishment, unless it's your first Waffle House experience, then you'd be let down because none of the others are this nice. We got sat by the manager Lashanda or whatever her name was told us our servers name and then left! The server Tim was busy and we didn't get our drinks for a good 10 15 mins all the while the manager is sitting in the back! Time was great him and the cook did amazing food was amazing but that manager needs to help out her team when they are struggling! The classic Waffle House experience! I enjoyed the eggs, hash browns & toast breakfast and split a chocolate chip waffle with my boyfriend. Everything was definitely diner food and the menu was pretty limited, but really good. Back to an old friend for a start to our day. Met a new staffer learning the waffle house ropes. Food was pretty much the same... Two things I observed that I do not recall previously. First, my waffle wasn't as toasty as I remembered it. It wasn't raw, but was a tan color rather than an almost caramel color. Secondly, my wife's white toast was overly toasted...some pieces being black rather than caramel colored. But we ate both. read more

Like most people, sometimes I just get a craving for greasy breakfast food. Luckily, Waffle House is an easy fix! I stopped in for breakfast around 10am on a Saturday not really knowing what to expect with the COVID capacity limits. I was surprised that I only had to wait 5 minutes for a party of two. The couple who arrived seconds after us had about a 10-15 minute wait. There are maybe 3 open bar stools and every other table is closed off. I could tell the servers, kitchen and manager were slammed with to go orders and in person orders but they were kind and got food delivered out freshly and quickly! 4/5 stars, only left one star off because I had gotten cheese and onion on my hash browns but there was not much on them. Was out with my sister and wanted to grab a bite to eat and Waffle House was just right there! Had not been to a Waffle House in a long time. This place was busy, but we were able to sit right away. Steady flow of carryout orders here. Prompted waited on by our waitress who was most accommodating, friendly and helpful. Ordered their All Star Special which is quite a bit of food for really reasonable price. Food was good. Music was quite loud and staff sang along with the songs. The only thing good about the Waffle House is that it opens late (or 24/7, I forget) and the people are so darn nice and festive. The food is borderline edible. I would stay away from salads since it looks like it's been in the fridge for weeks and taste like it too. The pork chop is not bad but not much better than what you made at home. I guess just get the waffles and stuff cause you really can't mess that up. Their hash browns are good though. Stay with the breakfast items then you'll be fine. read more

All I want for Christmas this year is a Waffle House in every town and a fifteen minute drive wherever I am. That is not too much to ask right? Good service, good food, and good value are fairly consistent with this chain and today was another great experience when you put all three together. The dining room was clean, the employees were smiling, and the place was over half full. I was quickly greeted and seated, got water and coffee fast, and was ordering within five minutes of walking in the door. I got my coffee topped off before my food came and despite cooking to order it took less than fifteen minutes of entering to be eating the best hash browns of any chain I frequent. Eggs over hard cooked to perfection; bacon that was a little crispy, a little chewey, and a lot of goodness; potatoes that were diced, chunked, and peppered perfection; and toast that was toast. Checkout was fast as the waitress was paying attention to her customers and knew that I was wrapping up. I was thanked for coming and I thanked them for serving me. No problem recommending this location or any Waffle House as breakfast is the most important meal of the day and with this chain it is available 24-7, 365 days. read more

First we sat down at a table and the servers were just on the there phones and then let us sit for 5 mins then proceeded to yell across saying this side is closed and then the server was polishing silverware and dropped it on the floor and continued to put it in the clean silverware bin. Traditional Waffle House grand entrance includes most of the servers and cooks greeting you with a big, "Hello." What was unusual about this location was the fact that it was clean and the food wasn't sopped in grease. I usually only eat at the "awful waffle" once, maybe twice a year....but I have a feeling I'll be visiting more often for breakfast based on the experience I had here :). read more

Had breakfast at this location a couple of times recently, both times service was great and the eggs were perfect, however the best part was the potato situation, there is a seemingly endless list of items you can add to the hash browns. I added cheese and onions, but will be back to try more. Their jalapeño cheddar biscuits are awesome, and can be substituted for the bread in any breakfast sandwich. I had been years since I had been to a Waffle House before these couple of visits, I don't remember it being that good before. If you haven't been there in awhile, give it a try! read more

This place has roaches. Right when I got my food a roach started scurrying across the counter top. I killed it and the server gave me a trash can to throw it in and stated, "this is so embarassing." Wish I could give them zero stars. Absolutely terrible location. They either need to hire new people or shut this location down!! A friend and I went there Friday night and I understand they were busy but that's no excuse for the poor service and rude server. So to start it took 25 minutes to get a glass of water which the cook finally got us because our waiter must have forgot we were there. Then upon ordering our food we finally got it 30 minutes later. They never brought us the bacon we ordered. When he finally walked by us I asked him where our bacon was he then tried to give me the bacon which had been sitting on a plate a good 20 minutes at least. At that point I was ready to go mainly because of the service. He tried to give us 15% off for the wait which was a whopping $.74 which covers the tax. I told him the bacon needed to come off our bill since we never ate it because it took 40 minutes to get after making it a second time. He at that point got very rude and cussed at me. We were there over an hour and a half total. I believe his name was Kelly but I'll have to double check. I have never experienced such poor service nor been cursed at by an employee. He needs fired for the way he handled the situation. I will NEVER go to this location again and will be contacting someone above management to let them know!!!! They forgot to put chocolate chips on my waffles so they threw some chocolate chips on top and microwaved it. The service was decent, however the staff seemed to be having petty arguments with one another- I was too close not to observe since I chose to sit on a barstool. The coffee tasted stale and lukewarm, the Texas Melt was probably the only good thing at this establishment. I left a Juul sitting on the counter near my plate that had apparently been taken by someone in the restaurant. I called to ask if someone had seen an ecig, to which they acted confused. I confirmed it was a Juul and all of a sudden they had said they had not seen anything. Afterward, I choose to drive to the restaurant to show the workers the original package of said Juul. Two of the workers looked either sketchy or uneasy, and the waitress awkwardly smiled and reassured me she had not seen anything while cleaning my spot. The fourth cook, an older red haired woman, exclaimed she was surprised to find out I had been in today and not another day. Over all, this house is one of thieves. The food was some of the worst I have ever had. I would never have put Velveeta cheese in an omelette and large squares of ham it was gross. My son had the waffles and they were cold and thin. I love this Waffle House, it is convenient for the 24/7 policy and the breakfast item are amazing. The Texas Cheesesteak melt is by far my favorite thing on the menu. Ordered eggs over medium and I was given eggs with runny whites, sent it back the second time they were still runny. At this point I changed it to scrambled as I did not want a third plate of runny whites. I received scrambled eggs but unfortunately it was with the Sam hash browns, toast and bacon which was ice cold by this time.
