I got the chicken and waffles Benedict ($16.50), biscuits and gravy Benedict ($15), and a cinnamon roll ($6) delivered through doordash. This food is overpriced for the quality, quantity, and taste. The cinnamon rolls are store bought! Just go to Safeway and get 12 cinnamon rolls for $5, instead of one for $6. The Benedicts were very basic, so yeah I will never be going back...not worth the $40 I wasted. read more

First time back after a long absence and I'm still just as happy as I was originally. Today I selected the corned beef hash with over easy eggs, crisp hash browns and biscuits. My mother chose the one biscuit and gravy special with hash browns, ham, scrambled eggs and a bloody mary. She informed me that it was one of the best bloody mary's she has had since moving here almost a year ago. Filled with pickles, olives peppers and Celery with a generous beverage. Our hash browns were crispy perfection, eggs cooked just right, the meats were fried just the right amount and my biscuits were served with a strawberry jam that screamed of summer. Took home enough food for breakfast tomorrow. Service is friendly, prompt and responsive to requests. Parking on the other hand was difficult. There is only one handicap space which meant a long walk for my mother as the restaurant is obviously popular and the lot was pretty full on this particular Friday morning. Definitely will not wait so long to return. read more

Very rude Management. The order we made online was incorrect. The meal was not gluten free and it was missing side items. When I called to let them know, the manager, who said his name was Jeff, got on the phone and said "I'm too busy to offer a refund or remake, you really shouldn't order online as it has errors". I told there was no way for me to know that and I'm sorry he was busy, but still feel we should be helped. He said he's "not dealing with this right now" and repeatedly said he is the manager so if I complain (I did not threaten to) he would receive the complaint anyways. Had breakfast delivered to us this morning. My friend eats the food often but it was my first time. I got an all meat omelet with hash browns, toast and a side of bacon. I thought the omelet was really good and the hash browns would have been perfect if cooked a bit longer. Side of bacon was yummy! read more

The service was great!!! My waiter Aliesha even during the busy time made sure all her tables were taken care of and was very attentive! I've been coming here for a long time and she's by far one of the best waitresses I've seen in a while. The food was very prompt and quality was awesome! This place is run by idiots! They are so disorganized they cannot figure out what is going on here. No designated hostess / cashier so you have to wait to get seated until a busser or waitress is available and after your meal you have to stand in a long line at an unoccupied register to beg to pay for your food. Went here for breakfast today with my wife, roomate, and friend. Took us at least five to seven minutes to get seated. The restaurant was at 30% capacity. The waitress took our drink order and brought us water that seemed to be in shot glasses. 90% of the glass was ice and I love water so I was disappointed that I would have to get a ton of refills. A table was seated after us and they recieved GIANT glasses of water for the whole table. Guess we werent good enough for the adult glasses of water. The whole meal I had to beg for water. I mean really? The waitress was a complete bitch and kept calling my wife and roomate "MAMA" I mean WTF is THAT supposed to mean anyways. The food took about 40 minutes to come out of the kitchen and they didnt even bring out my roomates food until we asked for it. My wife and I were sharing a dish. They decided to charge us $2.50 for sharing a dish without even letting us know they were going to do that. Then when I didnt get one of my sides I asked for it and she added another $1.00 charge to the bill. WTF again! When my wife asked about the charges the waitress gave some lame reasoning for the extra charges but never once informed us BEFORE we ordered or at the time of ordering that there would be almost $5 in additional charges on the bill. $15. That is what my wife ended up paying for a meal with no drinks and two people sharing one dish. When we were leaving there was a line at the register and noone there to cash us out. We waited ten additional minutes at the register to beg the restaurant to let us pay for our food. They were running around like chickens and the restaurant was not even at half capacity. 40 minutes for breakfast food? I could make that from scratch at home in 20 minutes but wanted to enjoy the morning with friends and less cleanup. DO NOT EAT HERE. THIS PLACE IS AN INSULT TO HARD WORKING AMERICANS WHO PAY THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY TO EAT OUT AND ENJOY FELLOWSHIP WITH FRIENDS. You should be ashamed of yourselves for the way my table was treated, being overcharged, and called "MAMA" WTF is that about? I believe the waitress's name was Rachel, but not sure as a thin girl with glasses actually cashed me out. I will never eat here again and I will be complaining to corporate about the waitress who called everyone "MAMA" how fucking unprofessional is that? And what does it imply. Biscuits was surprisingly good. Walked into what looked like a cafeteria and was expecting the food to be similar to the decor but I was wrong! I had a two egg plate with ham, hashbrowns, and biscuits. I'm not a huge fan of biscuits and usually I nibble a bit off of one and leave the rest for someone else but these biscuits were SO GOOD! Probably the best biscuits that I've had in a restaurant. The rest of my meal was delicious as well and I liked that I could have had pancakes instead of biscuits if I was in the mood for something sweeter. Service was decent. A little slow but friendly. I didn't get a chance to sign up but I hear they have a rewards program. If I'm ever in the area and want to go out for breakfast I'll be coming back here. read more

Came here a bit before 8am and there were only 2 other people in the whole place. The servers were really really nice, ice water comes with lemon wedge, good size for large juice. Their menu is great, i got the Keep It Simple which you can choose 3 options from the fairly big list. I got a chocolate chip pancake, biscuit and gravy, and sausage links. The biscuit was great. Soft, fluffy, and warm. The gravy was good...a bit heavy on the herbs but not bad. The sausage links were huuuuge and delicious! My pancake was a tad done on one side which made it a bit hard to cut but it tasted awesome. Defintely going to be back! read more

Thank you to the owner at Biscuits Cafe for spreading smiles today. I was in to pick up an order for Father's Day breakfast (which was very tasty) and the cafe was quite busy. I watched as you went from table to table handing out little cards and chatting with the families. As you left each table I watched as a child from the table went and passed a card to diners at another unsuspecting table...again more smiles. What I later learned was that father's were being given a free kids meal but the kids had to pass some sort of discount coupon on to another table. The smiles spread all around the bustling cafe. Came in for my birthday breakfast was greeted (I use the term loosely) by the hostess (pink haired girl) with a rough "booth or table" was seated. Took almost 20 minutes to have the server (Alyssa) come by and take our food order. Didn't see her again until we were served. Nor again after that. Still waiting here to try to get my tab to go. We drive by this cafe all the time and finally came on a Sunday morning for breakfast. It was awesome! We were seated right away, the staff was super friendly, and service was quick and consistent the whole visit. I ordered coffee (really good!) and the avocado benedict. I love a good eggs benedict and this was one of the best I've had. The sauce was incredible and the combo of avocados and tomatoes with the classic egg on a biscuit was perfect- I never want to have it with meat again! I literally raved about it the whole time we were eating. It's a cute place with pretty average prices, and great food.. and it's right down the street. Over all the food is your adverse diner breakfast food in my opinion a bit over priced as I wasn't very impressed by it. Our server was kind however our food took 50 minutes to arrive and no one stopped by to explain or apologize. I get it that when it's busy it can be hard to work as quickly but it wasn't even packed out... because of that we have decided not to bother because for the quality of the food the taste and the service I could easily go to Elmer's and get good food at a good price and not have to wait almost an hour. As someone that has worked in the food industry for a while I get it when the kitchen is backed up but it's responsible for the server to atleast check in or offer a free biscuit or something.. read more

This place wouldn't make it on a show, unless it was a show called Average, Forgettable and Bland. That may be harsh, but really -- the food was nothing special. I had "made from scratch" corned beef hash and eggs with hashed browns and biscuits. The corned beef hash was just shredded, tough and room-temp corned beef. No "hash" about it. Tasteless scrambled eggs sat on top. I was warned not to get the hash browns (really, what kind of breakfast place can you be if the same person who took you there and told you it was on tv is also telling you not to get the HASH BROWNS, which should be so easy to make delicious?)... but I got them anyway. Eh. Not terrible. Mine were a perfect rectangle, obviously cut from a larger block on the flat-top. The biscuit was decent, with butter and strawberry jam. I had some of McK's bacon, and it was actually a little too thick and over-cooked. If you ruin bacon, you should not be allowed to serve it. Her pancakes, however, were very large and looked good. The service was slow and there were several problems with my table's order. When it takes forever to get the food, and then it's wrong, it's kind of hard to recover. I've been meaning to try Biscuits for a while now since I frequently drive by it's division st location. I tried the veggie head omelet and while the biscuits were great, the rest of the meal was less so. I could tell that the "fresh" veggie ingredients were from a frozen bag of pre prepped peppers and onions and the flavor suffered from it. Since there are much better breakfast options in Gresham, I won't be coming back. The wait staff was the only highlight and the reason my review has more than one star. read more

I have not been to any of the other Biscuits locations, but the Gresham location is quite odd. The seating layout is one big open area, like a college campus cafeteria. The tables are so close together that I always get whacked in the back of the head by some ladies purse when she turns around. It really is an evesdroppers paradise because without any partitions you can filter your conversation through everyone elses. They always seem to be understaffed. The waitstaff runs around frantically but can't keep up. Twice I have had the waitress drop the check before we recieved our food. I am always afraid to ask for a refill because it seems like that might be the straw the breaks the camels back. Here's cheap advice - DO NOT GO NEAR THIS PLACE ON A HOLIDAY. The food really is nothing special. I would call it adaquate. You don't leave going 'I have to go back and try this next time", you go "I'm full, lets go". The kitchen might still be getting their routine down, because my breakfast never comes all at once. It's always "your 'toast/bacon/pancake/etc will be out in a minute.' Its is usually closer to five minutes. Biscuits tries to present themsleves as a 'home cookin' chain. I think they are closer to Elmers than they realize. Its just breakfast done "Meh". read more

This place was ok. Staff was friendly and welcoming but service was slow. It took a while before someone came to take my order even though the place didn't seem busy. Then the food takes a while to come out too, which was expected since they say they don't serve fast food, they serve fresh food as fast as they can. If I was one of those impatient type of person, I probably would have walked out after all that waiting. So be forewarned it may be a bit of a wait from the time you sit down until the time you actually get your food. I ordered a large OJ and the Ham Benedict. Menu said fresh OJ, so I assumed it was fresh squeezed and was a little disappointed to find it was just regular bottle OJ. My bad, it did just say "fresh" without the "squeezed". The Ham Benedict was just ok, nothing to write home about. Hash browns were a little bland. Overall this place is just so so. Not a bad place to get some breakfast, but I'm sure there are better options out there. Would I try another meal here again? Sure! It wasn't all that bad and I'd be willing to give this place another try. read more

My wife and I visited your Biscuits location @ 1905 NW Division in Gresham Oregon On Sunday 11-19-2017 at about 9:30 AM. We were promptly seated, offered drinks and our order was taken. Some 35 minutes later when food was brought to the table next to us who had been seated a good 15-20 minutes after we arrived I got up to ask what happened to our food? I was told our order had been lost. We walked out and I will never return to a Biscuits Café again. This would have been the end of the story except I felt compelled to tell you, I spoke to my mom and aunt later Sunday night who also live in Gresham and they told me they had a similar experience at that same location and said they now only go to Shari's. Best breakfast ever! The red potatoes are so flavorful, and the eggs are cooked perfectly. The biscuits are fluffy and smothered in the best sausage gravy since my grandmother's. Oh, and the blueberry pancakes have real, fresh blueberries: no syrup needed. We'll definitely be back. read more

Whenever we visit friends in Portland we usually have a weekend breakfast at Biscuits. There are at least 4 and sometimes as many as 8 of us in a group and everyone seems to find something they enjoy at a reasonable price. So keep that in mind because I would normally give Biscuits 3 or 4 stars but last Sunday (1-1-12) they seemed to have dropped the ball, at least at 1908 NE Division. I hope it isn't a trend. Of the 6 of us one ordered sweet potato pancakes. When his order came he had ONE pancake. This baffled us because it should have had 2 or maybe 3 pancakes. I don't think he ever got the eggs that should have come with his order. At least one other order wasn't right. Fortunately my eggs benedict were perfect. At one point a waitress was picking up an order of toast and dropped one of the halves on the floor. She quickly picked it up but instead of tossing it in the trash she threw it back on the big cutting board next to the toast machine. Eewww. This right in front of the guy who must have been the manager. WTF? He didn't do or say anything, just left it lay. I was incredulous. Should I have gotten up from the table, walked over and asked him about it? After several minutes the board was wiped off but I don't believe it was "cleaned". I may have a '5 second rule' at home but that doesn't cut it at a restaurant. We quizzed the waitress about the sweet potato pancake order and she said it was right but noticed when we cashed the bill for the pancake was $7.50 not $8.99. And we couldn't find any pancake item on the menu for $7.50. WTF? I'd give them a B on the food and the value, a C on the service and a D on cleanliness. May go back again but I'm going to question everything and watch 'em like a hawk to make sure I don't get a breakfast that spent time on their floor. read more

Good food, fresh and tasty. We know when the crowds hit and expect longer wait times, and we are fine with it. Today was a different kind of experience. My very ill wife finally got her appetite back and at 2:10 in the afternoon she asked for pancakes from Biscuits. That's 20 minutes from closing time and after they take to go orders. Layla took our call and compassionately made it happen for her. Biscuits is growing (like a Dennys or IHOP) but they have not lost their commitment to the community. Layla exemplified that. I ordered the fish and chips, when it arrived the fish was very greasy looking, the coleslaw was a strange color, and the tarter sauce a odd yellowish color, when I asked about it the waitress blew me off, after a few minutes I asked another server about my meal, he promptly got my original server, she came and took the plate away, no offer of any other food, nothing.
