When was the last time you had amazing food from a cafe? Although merely calling Sweet Betty's a cafe is to undersell it completely. They also have a full bar available, if you so desire. I am a regular at this restaurant, but today I ordered off the Specials board and got delectable Oreo Stuffed French toast. It was beautiful, to begin with, but the taste and textures were divine. The toast was crispy, but the filling was very flavorful, and the topping of whipped cream with Oreo crumbs made the whole meal delightful. I ended up taking the bacon and eggs home, since the French Toast was more than enough. Our server was friendly and thorough, despite it being busy. This place is great for families as well as solo diners. Ample parking in front of the restaurant. ADA accesible. read more

This was our first time trying Sweet Betty's at their new location. We were seated in a large booth, but unfortunately the seating area felt a bit worn out. There was some black duct tape holding parts of the booth together, and since the booths aren't anchored to the floor, ours would shift whenever the people behind us moved, which was a little distracting. The food was okay, but nothing really stood out. The scrambled eggs tasted watered down and lacked flavor. The pancakes themselves were good, but they came with quite a bit more butter than necessary. We also ordered the chicken fried steak, which was tasty, though the potatoes that came with it tasted like they may have been from the day before. I might consider coming back to sit at the bar for cocktails or happy hour, but for a full meal I'm not sure I'd rush back. That said, it could have just been an off day -- there was actually a wait for tables as we were leaving, so clearly the place has a following. read more

First time going here. Cute restaurant in a strip mall. Food was good. When I said I need to be gluten free and have celiac disease the manager came out and talked with me. We're able to quick clean a section of the grill before making my food to help with cross contamination. I got a side of scrambled eggs with cheese and the hash browns. Very good for simple breakfast. Large portions. My friend got the classic breakfast with French toast and a side of gravy. Got a classic mimosa. They have several flavors to choose from. We had a wonderful time! I asked our servers name just so I could applaud her in this review but I have since forgotten. We were the 10 top drinking mimosas and whoever you were you killed it. On top of the amazing service, the food was incredible. Pricing, portions, taste and fulfillment; all there. Everything from seating a large walk-in group, to the time between ordering and eating was amazing. This restaurant is fast and efficient while putting out immaculate food and drink without the sacrifice of quality service. Genuinely a wonderful experience. I will be returning! Oh and I almost forgot! The music was amazing! Uplifting across the board! Finally as a cook myself having a view into the open kitchen. The food certainly outshines the decor, which I'll describe as helter skelter. We got the impression they're trying a little too hard to "Keep Gresham weird." Walking in, the place immediately gave off good vibes--big, bright, and flooded with natural light. The décor is cute and quirky without trying too hard. It was early Sunday afternoon, so of course there was a wait, but it was short enough that my "hangry" didn't kick in. But honestly, the food stole the show. Hands down, best brunch I've ever had in Gresham--maybe even top tier of my life. BEST BREAKFAST IN THE AREA, BUT WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. We have come to Sweet Betty's twice, and the food has been good both times. Unfortunately, we decided it would now be a once-in-a-great-while spot because, as good as it is, the margins on each plate are just comically high. There is absolutely no way in any cosmic dimension my Monte Cristo, home potatoes, and cup of coffee should cost $20.00. Just no way. It's a sandwich and a quarter of a potato. Our bill totaled $72 for 3 people... to eat breakfast. Last week we went to The 24 Hour Hotcake house and spent $38 for comparison. And to be honest, The 24 Hour Hotcake House is just as good. Sorry if that sounds low-rent, but it is 100% true. And well... this ain't Manhattan, Sweet Betty's, so... yeah. Sweet Betty's is one of our favorite spots in Gresham for breakfast or lunch! I love, love, love their Tuna fish sandwich! I'm also a fan of their Chicken Caesar Wrap. Do not miss their Clam Chowder on Fridays too! It rivals those from the Pacific coast. Betty's has a fun atmosphere that we enjoy. Love to dine and support restaurants where everyone feels welcomed & Betty's is just that. It's a Gresham staple, and we are thankful it has survived trying times during COVID. The food was really good. We were seated directly across from the open kitchen so we got to watch the process. I was kinda grossed out watching multiple staff eat off plates and touch their faces while touching food. I witnessed 3 people in total eating and drinking while cooking. Hands to mouth to your food. A huge vat of egg mixture was sitting on the counter the entire hour plus we were there, I am sure it was out longer than that. This is the first time we ate here. It was a Sunday, lunchtime, and there was a waiting list, waited for about 15 mins. I saw seats at the bar, and told hubby, we should just take those. A second later, our host asked if we'd like to sit at the bar, as if, he heard me! Looking around, it looks like a 'fun' place for a meal! The decor was child-like awesome. Our food, was your typical choices, familiar in most of my reviews, except hubby's had the Reuben Burger, yes there's a hamburger in the bottom of his Reuben! We both had Hungarian Mushroom. The vibe is gone and it was obviously done with a certain clientele in mind. Staff was great and food was not what left an impression in the past. We had to seat ourselves and then it took a bit for anyone to come give us waters or take our order and we came in at 11am on a Monday . They don't have a kids menu. Arrived on a Thursday morning 9am, and we were greeted with a friendly smile. We had our pick of tables and took a huge bench table at the windows. The eggs Benedict's had been recommended, so that's what I ordered, and my date ordered biscuit breakfast with eggs and sausage. Table service was great. Our breakfasts came out of the kitchen is a reasonable time. Overall, the gravy was herby and tasty. My Benedict was yummy, and I took one of them home. My date took home a biscuit and gravy. Coffee was a bit on the weak side, but we're accustomed to espresso, so that's understandable. We recommend and will return. read more

Many years later and our family still loves Sweet Betty's. The breakfast and lunch options are amazing and you can always find something for even the pickiest of eaters. On our last visit we ordered the turkey club sandwich with fries and my daughter ordered the french toast special. Both entrees were exceptional. Had a really nice lunch at Sweet Betty's today. The food and the service was good and we enjoyed our time there. The only problem I had was that they use "single use" plastic for all cold drinks including for water. Our table was crowded with all the plastic and then they brought us to go containers that were also heavy plastic. Unless they recycle it all, it is clogging up our landfills and will be a problem for future generations. There are so many better options. I would give this restaurant 5 stars if they would fix this problem. read more

We've been visiting Sweet Betty's since they were in their original location. The food and drinks are good. It's a different vibe with the gift shop, artwork and oddities. The last time we visited, it took over an hour to get a sandwich and cup of soup. They made it right, but it was weird to see the people around us get food that was more complicated to cook, and we ordered simple and it took forever.
