First time going here. Cute restaurant in a strip mall. Food was good. When I said I need to be gluten free and have celiac disease the manager came out and talked with me. We're able to quick clean a section of the grill before making my food to help with cross contamination. I got a side of scrambled eggs with cheese and the hash browns. Very good for simple breakfast. Large portions. My friend got the classic breakfast with French toast and a side of gravy. Got a classic mimosa. They have several flavors to choose from. Will definitely return.

Walking in, the place immediately gave off good vibes--big, bright, and flooded with natural light. The décor is cute and quirky without trying too hard. It was early Sunday afternoon, so of course there was a wait, but it was short enough that my "hangry" didn't kick in. We got seated at a long, cafeteria-style table, which was fine because there was plenty of space. Our server was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and made good suggestions. But honestly, the food stole the show. Hands down, best brunch I've ever had in Gresham--maybe even top tier of my life. I went with the egg sandwich: eggs over medium, cheddar, and extra-crispy bacon on rye. The bacon was so perfectly crisp but not greasy. The sandwich was huge. Normally I'm not a hash brown fan, but I noticed they had a special with plantains, so I swapped them in. Best choice ever. My husband ordered the eggs Benedict, my son got the classic breakfast with a pancake. We all left impressed and very full. We will definitely be back!

Sweet Betty's is always on point! Their specials are absolutely amazing and we are impressed every time. They are also really sweet, provide great service, and kid friendly.

Mmmm... delicious!

Had breakfast at Sweet Betty's again over the weekend. One of my favorite breakfast spots in the PNW! Service Food: Positive Environment: Vibe! Great place to just hang out while having a great meal.

Cinnamon French toast topped with a red wine poached pear (was a weekend special)

Sweet Betty's is by far the best breakfast spot in Gresham. The new owner is awesome. Raspberry swirl bread or cinnamon bread used for French toast and it's amazing. Staff is fab, feels like home

Sweet Betty's is one of our favorite spots in Gresham for breakfast or lunch! I love, love, love their Tuna fish sandwich! I'm also a fan of their Chicken Caesar Wrap. Do not miss their Clam Chowder on Fridays too! It rivals those from the Pacific coast. Betty's has a fun atmosphere that we enjoy. Love to dine and support restaurants where everyone feels welcomed & Betty's is just that. It's a Gresham staple, and we are thankful it has survived trying times during COVID. Hoping it will be around for a long time.

Food is good, and service is also quite good. My beef is with the prices. Expensive for what you get.

Ask the Community - Sweet Betty's

Do they take reservations for groups of 20?

They don't take reservations. It's first come first serve.

So they allow dogs on the patio area?

They do, but when we went on a beautiful summer morning, they said that they "hadn't set up the patio because nobody requested it," so we had to leave our dog in the car. :-(

We were promptly greeted and seated, our servers were friendly and attentive, and the space was comfortable and cozy. One thing we did note both visits was there were a lot of little flies that we had to swat away from our meal. Not a fan of that, but hopefully they can take care of that by the time we make it back to Portland. ;) Their menu is extensive, offering many gluten free options. They also offer eggs if you prefer that over tofu. We only got to try their breakfast items, but I'd love to come back for lunch! First visit: Breakfast burito: 10/10. From flavor of the herb tofu to the portion (perfect to share between the two of us), everything about this burrito was perfect and all we could have wanted. Basic B waffle: 7/10. I can appreciate that the waffles are all GF. The blue cornmeal made as a good base, but I felt a little underwhelmed, but can't quite put a finger on what could have made it better. Second visit: Biscuits & gravy: 8/10. with GF bisuit and tofu scramble. A winning combo! The biscuit was on the dryer side, but the gravy did its job. The scramble tasted a little off, so a bit bummed about the inconsistency. Blue plate: 9/10. The non GF biscuit was much better. My wife ate this one and she was very happy with her meal. All in all, super happy with our meals here. Would 1000% recommend and plan to return again!

I had been to their other location quite some time ago. I hadn't been to the one on Alberta. I was worried about parking, but found a spot nearby. We were greeted warmly upon entering. Everything on the menu looked delicious! I settled for the Meatloaf Benedict without the biscuit. My friend ordered the Goddess Bowl. I loved the Meatloaf Benedict, it's what I consider comfort food! I had a taste of my friend's Goddess Bowl and it was good too! I would love to return again soon!

I appreciated that there was a small parking lot outside the restaurant. As I walked up to the restaurant, it smelled divine! We were a group of 8 people, and we were able to grab a table to accommodate us all. There was a water station that we could help ourselves to. I noticed the carry out containers next to the station..good to know for later. We were given paper and pen to write down our order and hand in when we were ready. All this contributed to no waiting for wait staff. But that's where it ended. The orders started coming out randomly. Several people got their appetizers and entrees before I ever got my appetizer. The same with the guy sitting next to me. The guy next to me ordered jasmine tea, and it was quite a while before he got that. All it was, was a tea bag in a cup of hot water. Most of the group was done with their appetizer and working on their entrees before I got my entree of Lemongrass Chicken. It came with rice. Four large mock chicken breasts, I shared one and still brought one home. It was probably the wrong dish for me. It tasted ok, just really dense, and I'm not used to mock meats. I like mock meats, just not a lot at one time. I should have gotten the Teriyaki Chicken that I saw others ordered, it looked good and came with broccoli. After I was almost done with my entree, my tofu spring rolls with peanut sauce came, my neighbor got his spring rolls at the same time. The spring rolls were good! I love fresh rolls with peanut sauce! Shortly after getting our appetizers, my neighbor got his lamb balls. He said they were good. The flow of serving the food was terribly unorganized. Only one drink was ordered, tea bag in water should have been fast and easy. Appetizers should have been served next, before anyone started receiving their entrees. The guy next to me was starving, I thought he was going to faint. A few people shared a few bites of their meals with him. He just didn't want to eat too much before his meal arrived . Overall, everyone enjoyed their meals. If a friend wants to go, I would go. I will know better what to order next time.

Our server was patient and made excellent recommendations. The ambiance was perfect for our little gathering and everyone kept asking who picked the restaurant because they loved the food so much. Personally, I think I ended up getting to try half the menu and it was all good, but the corn fritters, plantain empanadas, ceviche, and patatas were all next-level good. I don't know what they put in their sauces, but I wanted to bring home bottles of all of them. Splitting the check up at the end was kind of chaotic, but they were patient with us while we did the math and, if they were at all stressed out by the large number of diners, we couldn't tell. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants flavors you can't get anywhere else.

Now that I live in Portland, I enjoy heading to the bar for happy hour and trying new things. Everything has been stellar! Ask for extra napkins! Their mushrooms, bread and egg sounds simple but it's mind blowing how much flavor it has and everything is cooked perfectly. Their corn and cheese fritters are like corn bread cakes with crack sauce. Their mushroom bao are bursting with flavor in fluffy fresh buns. They have a huge vegetarian menu and also cook meat very expertly. Something for everyone! Omega and Hunter run the bar with efficient and friendly service. They are masters of their craft cocktails. I love the ambiance. 80's music. Jellyfish tank. Separated dining areas keep the acoustics from being too loud and it gives it a more intimate feel. Bathrooms are clean. Most entrees were about $25-30 which I think is a lil on the pricier side for a place in a strip mall but that might just be my opinion. There were a few of us so we opted for the family style meal that feeds 5 for $100 which drops the costs to $20 a person. I also think that it was a lot of food and it would easily feed 5 hungry men or 10 women! So that is probably the best deal. It was almost like sizzling fajitas but the veggies also included broccoli, baby corn and even water chestnuts which leads me to believe its similar to those frozen veggie assortment type, but this tasted much better than the frozen ones. They also came out with 5 plates of rice and beans for everyone in addition to these HUGE platters of sizzling chicken, steak and shrimp! It also had bacon wrapped and stuffed jalapenoes!!! Those were really good. I would say that if you are looking for a place to take a group or large family this turned out to be a bargain and the food was all good
