Baklava ice latte! Beautiful and delicious until the last drop.

Drinks were excellent and service was done with care. Great ambience! I usually don't order any sweet lattes as they are usually too sweet but decided to give the Baklava latte a try (asked for half sweet) and it was excellent and delicious until the last drop.

Atmosphere is great, the owner was awesome and very kind. The matcha and the latte we got tasted amazing and presentation was great.

    Blueberry Rooibos Tea

I didn't try any of the food, but the tea was fantastic. Sam is a great owner and very nice to talk with while you're hanging out and working. The atmosphere is laid back with a nice volume of music in the background. Highly recommend checking out this place if you are around!

A great little spot! Service was spectacular, got to love the small business energy. Smoothest chai I've ever had! Their snack goodies are great. Highly recommend.

    Iced Raspberry white mocha

Definitely a local gem coffee shop! So glad they were open for the plant market customers, usually not open on weekends. The owner is super friendly and makes amazing drinks. I got the iced raspberry white mocha and it was delicious! The cafe is bright and inviting with relaxing music. Highly recommend this place.

Walk through this front door for the best Indian team you'll ever have! No really...

I am not much of an Indian tea drinker, but when the personable owner offered me a cup, I said yes to be polite. We even insisted on making it again because they used regular milk. It was really really delicious tea. Melanie T and I fought over it. The place has been open since September. They brew their own tea here at night and sell it to Portland coffee shops. Yeah I have a few tables at the moment, and are mainly open your weekdays but they might start opening on Saturdays later. They also make lattes here. There is plenty of parking right in front of the coffee shop. I will be back to have their Indian tea again soon.

    Bagel, lattes

What a wonderful cafe! The lattes and pastries were spot on and it's a comfortable and quiet place for a visit or just to get some work done. The service is great and we'll definitely be back. Sam made our day:)

    Lemon curd donuts

Little shop big flavor. Just got the best dirty chai I have had in a decade ty ty. The lemon curd on the top order doughnuts was robust and flavorful. How is there not a line around the block at this place?

    A dozen donuts for $12

Finally, a place that offers mini donuts in the far Eastside! I've been a longtime patron of Pip's Original Donuts on Fremont, but the location is very out of my way and there is usually a line out the door (which is completely understandable). I found Neo Cafe after a quick search of donuts in the Rockwood/Gresham area and was so excited to see that they have a similar menu. Visited the cafe today and got a dozen donuts to try all of the flavors and share with loved ones, and I was happy to discover that they are VERY similar to Pip's! The lemon curd and blueberry earl grey were my favorite. Knowing that the cafe has been nestled in the Rockwood Market Hall for a little over a year, I'm surprised it's not more popular since there were no other customers when I visited (however it was a weekday around 1 pm). It is a smaller space with limited seating but it's still a great spot to order a box of mini donuts or grab a drink. I look forward to trying out their vast drink menu next! As a side note, the parking lot(s) for the Rockwood Market Hall are pretty small, so you may have to park on the street or wait a few minutes for other cars to leave.

Fantastic breakfast!…read more We were fortunate to get a couple of counter seats, which unfortunately gave us a view right into the plating area where we saw everything we wanted to order...basically, the whole menu :) Choices must be made so the Shrimp & Grits and the Bananas Foster French Toast won out for today. Both were amazing. The whipped cream on the french toast could hold its own as a standalone dessert. Interior was beautiful. Seating was comfortable and the service was excellent.

This is a solid operation. Ordered the fried chicken and waffles, which is the dish everyone tells you to get. Chicken comes out as a massive stack, thick craggy crust, seasoned well, perched on top of a waffle with an orange wedge and a little jar of syrup. The fried okra on the side was actually my favorite bite of the meal, crispy cornmeal coating, good salt, served with a paprika aioli that I could eat with a spoon. Here's my honest take though. I could not finish it. The portion is huge and the whole plate leans heavy on fried and rich. By the halfway mark I was tapping out. That's a me thing more than a them thing, but if you're coming off a light week of eating or not in the mood for deep Southern comfort, this will hit you harder than you expect. Iced coffee was refreshing, a nice break from the richness. Four stars because the food is genuinely great and the team clearly knows what they're doing. It just wasn't the right meal for me on this trip. If you come hungry and love classic Southern fried everything, you'll be thrilled.
