This place is dangerously close to my apartment now. I loved it when it was in Beaverton and I had to drive and park and it was a whole hassle. Now it's a 5 minute walk. I have to stop myself going more than once every two or three weeks. They are always slammed but are super quick at getting tables rotated without feeling like they're rushing you out the door. Regular customers but first time at this new location. I'll admit that I'm not a fan. To start, the outside sign is very shy and easy to miss. Inside is clean, bright but impersonal and generic. Maybe they just haven't had the time to put their stamp on it yet. The upsides - there is table service now and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I've ordered their Country Fried Steak with scrambled eggs multiple times now. Still a very good steak and sausage gravy. Either the steak breading of the sausage gravy was maybe a touch more salty than usual. The eggs were disappointing- scrambled eggs should be fluffy due to constantly stirring over low heat in a pan - and previously they always had been. This time they were a overcooked dense, dry puck, It was as if the egg mixture was poured out on the flattop, left and flipped once. Still eatable with hot sauce. I visited this restaurant today to place a to-go order and unfortunately had a very negative experience with the staff member working the front counter. Her tone and demeanor were dismissive, rude, and condescending from the moment I approached. I asked if there were any gluten free items other than the scramble and she cut me off before finishing my sentence shooting NOPE!! The interaction made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable to the point that I didn't feel comfortable being there another second, so I chose to leave. As I was walking out, she loudly called out "SORRY, BYE" in a clearly sarcastic and mocking tone, which only reinforced how unprofessional the interaction was. I was kind and did nothing to provoke this uncalled for and inappropriate behavior... Customer service is a big part of the experience at any restaurant, especially for new customers. We stopped in on a Sunday morning. I thought It would be like most places in the city and jammed. It was not. We arrived shortly after opening and found it mostly empty. You place your order at the counter and they call your number when it's ready. The food was tasty and quick. It has a pub atmosphere so it might be fun in the evenings as there is a full bar. It may be good in the evening and the next day if you feel like a little Irish for your coffee. Bathrooms require a key and are outside and around the corner. Friday 9/22/23 I got a takeout order: fielders choice (3 sides: 2 French toast sides & 1 waffle side) for $11.75, the mvp (waffle breakfast sandwich) for $9.75, and the cinnamon Lolly waffle for $2.50. The fielders choice allows you choose ANY 3 sides for the flat price of $11.75 which is a great value option. The waffle was solid but the French toast was horrible. The mvp sandwich is a cool idea but it wasn't as good as expected and it's a little pricey for the size of the sandwich you end up getting. The cinnamon Lolly waffle was unique and decent. All in all, this place is solid but nothing here really stands out but if you absolutely love waffles I'd recommend you checking it out. read more

I got the Ace, which is a classic bacon egg and cheese but between two waffles. Pretty solid - no issues. Pretty much exactly how you think it'll taste. Waffles are better than Eggo but seemed to lack the crispy outside, soft inside I get from a normal waffle maker. A little french toasty in texture? I like giving reviews based on the best food item I tried. The Cinnamon Swirl Waffle is five stars for sure! If you like Cinnabon cinnamon rolls, you have got to stop in to try this waffle. The country fried steak was pretty good. The meal overall could use a bit more salt, but is fine with some hot sauce. The home fried potatoes were crispy. My husband enjoyed the MVP sandwich. With the slightly sweet waffle we didn't even find the syrup was needed. I'm glad it came on the side. I thought the hash browns were perfectly crispy while still having soft potato on the inside.
