My cousin and I wanted to stop here before our pre-hike. Oh boy was this a heavy meal that I felt like I wanted to go into food coma afterwards lol. It was still early so there wasn't much people on a Wednesday morning. Batter Up specialize in waffle sandwiches and when I saw the mac daddy waffle sandwich on the menu, I knew I had to order it. It was Mac n cheese style waffle. Omg. Honestly portions were so big and filling. I could have shared it with my cousin but we each ordered our own. Love the hashbrowns. Definitely got some leftovers. She ordered the mvp waffle sandwich which had meat patty in the waffle sandwich. Dang that looks good too. Overall, staff were super friendly and welcoming. Service was quick!

I've driven by this place many times but I never felt the craving to go. We heard from a friend that this place was struggling, so I thought I would go and show some support and finally try this place out. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised! I don't tend to eat brunch or heavy American breakfast like waffles and pancakes much but this spot had some pretty good waffles. I got the Pinch Hitter, which is a waffle sandwich with chicken sausage, egg, and Havarti cheese. Although the waffle got a bit soggy from condensation, it was still an enjoyable sandwich, the perfect combination of sweet and savory. If you're down for some classic waffles and breakfast sandwiches, this is the perfect spot for it!

You place your order at the counter and they call your number when it's ready. The food was tasty and quick. It has a pub atmosphere so it might be fun in the evenings as there is a full bar. It may be good in the evening and the next day if you feel like a little Irish for your coffee. Bathrooms require a key and are outside and around the corner. All in all a good stop and I would definitely stop again.

Craving waffles, we tried Batter Up. Disappointed they were out of chicken for their famous dish, we opted for the MVP and Ace waffle sandwiches, plus a custom Fielder's choice. The Fielder's waffle was crispier and tastier than the sandwich waffle, so my son ended up eating his sandwich deconstructed. The service and food were good, and the place was clean, but the outdoor bathroom situation was inconvenient. We need to leave and go around to the back to the bathrooms, which is not convenient with kids.
Went to the soft opening. Food was AMAZING. Friendly service. Owner(John) Came out to greet us. Also checked up on us to make sure meal was good. Prices are reasonable, service is great. Food was ON POINT. Will be frequenting it again, Now that it is alot closer to my house. Please come and support this local business..
Waffles without all the hassle! I really liked my Cheesecake waffle with strawberries! It was not overly sweet but well balanced and the waffle was easy to cute with my knife. They are large waffles that fill you up, so it's okay to go hungry! They also have a full bar so you can pair your waffle with a Bloody Mary or mimosa, for a full breakfast experience.

Friday 9/22/23 I got a takeout order: fielders choice (3 sides: 2 French toast sides & 1 waffle side) for $11.75, the mvp (waffle breakfast sandwich) for $9.75, and the cinnamon Lolly waffle for $2.50. The fielders choice allows you choose ANY 3 sides for the flat price of $11.75 which is a great value option. The waffle was solid but the French toast was horrible. The mvp sandwich is a cool idea but it wasn't as good as expected and it's a little pricey for the size of the sandwich you end up getting. The cinnamon Lolly waffle was unique and decent. All in all, this place is solid but nothing here really stands out but if you absolutely love waffles I'd recommend you checking it out.
I got the 1-piece chicken and waffle and it didn't disappoint. It's exactly what I wanted and expected. I also tried the gingerbread latte and that wasn't bad either. The woman who took our order was very friendly and personable. It took us a while to try this out because we mostly think about it after they close. It's interesting they have a bar area but it's also a good place for kids.
Best waffle fries around! Lots of food and drink options. Smoothies are very good. The waffle fries are my favorite. The waffle sandwich has a lot of interesting flavors but was too rich for me. I didn't like the taste of the sausage patty or the american cheese. I give it a 2/5. My partner really loved the waffle sandwich and give it a 5/5.

Plenty of parking in the plaza it's located in. Upon entering, the staff was really friendly and had me take a seat anywhere I'd like. The theme made sense and felt very outdoor baseball themed with their tables and chairs. Ordered the chicken and waffles and while the chicken itself was juicy on the inside, the breading was very burnt tasting and tasted like old oil. The waffle was nothing special and on the soggier side. read more
Regular customers but first time at this new location. I'll admit that I'm not a fan. To start, the outside sign is very shy and easy to miss. Inside is clean, bright but impersonal and generic. Maybe they just haven't had the time to put their stamp on it yet. The upsides - there is table service now and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I've ordered their Country Fried Steak with scrambled eggs multiple times now. Still a very good steak and sausage gravy. Either the steak breading of the sausage gravy was maybe a touch more salty than usual. The eggs were disappointing- scrambled eggs should be fluffy due to constantly stirring over low heat in a pan - and previously they always had been. This time they were a overcooked dense, dry puck, It was as if the egg mixture was poured out on the flattop, left and flipped once. Still eatable with hot sauce. Over all - they did hit a ball, but definitely no home run. It's unlikely that I'll be back. read more

Split the MVP plate with hashbrown between two people and it's the perfect amount of breakfast goodness to start the day! They're busy from the get go. People going in and out from the very morning but they worked very efficiently and we got our order fresh and hot soon after ordering. Everything was made fresh. The combo of housemade sausage, egg, and cheese was amazing. That savoriness paried well with the slightly sweet plain waffle and maple syrup. Their hashbrowns were also very well-seasoned and crispy. Nothing to complain about! Staffs were friendly, plenty of seating. A very casual breakfast spot. Very nice fast casual breakfast spot. Enjoyed the Chicken and Waffles. The chicken was moist and crispy, mildly seasoned to mesh with the syrup. Good sized portion. My wife liked her scramble. Would come back for the biscuits and gravy or chicken fried steak, which also looked delicious! read more

Idk who needs to hear this but waffles are supreme over pancakes that's a hard fact! The waffles were crisper than your tie for your first interview. The Mac and cheese with it was a nice combo especially with that bacon. The waffle fries they had beat Chick fila no contest. If you like waffles you will LOVE this place!!! Parking is a little tricky, I parked in back. Modern/Industrial feel inside. You order at the counter, they call your name when the food is ready and take it to an open table to eat. The star of the show is the WAFFLE. Got it the lemon blueberry waffle and it was AMAZING. Waffle was crisp on the outside and light and fluffy inside. Fresh blueberries generously garnished it and were also cooked inside the batter! Lemon sauce played well and I enjoyed every bite! Side of bacon gave me the salt and sweet combo. Will be back if ever in the area again! read more

Overall really enjoyed this place and would definitely come back. There's a bar in the back but we didn't drink this time. Kid and family friendly. The service is friendly and welcoming. We ordered the chicken and waffles, country fried steak, and cinnamon lolly. The chicken and waffles was delicious--one of the better places to get it around here. Country fried steak was okay; the steak was a little tough and potatoes were a little underdone. But the crispiness and batter were perfect and the gravy was delicious. The lolly was good too but a little sweet for my taste and I wish it was crispier on the outside. read more

Went here yesterday as a suggestion by a co worker and was kind of put off. The service was quite selective, where their interactions were unwelcoming per individual. I had to wait quite a long time, only to receive "okay" food. I was looking forward to the country fried steak, but it was all breading and rubbery meat. My SO got the MVP. The sausage was amazing, but being a waffle spot, we had higher expectations for the waffles. I think I would say for price, service, and wait alone, it's not worth the visit. Even subtracting wait and price, I'd still consider somewhere else. read more

Food was alright, nothing too special. Waffles were very soggy and soft. Hasbrowns were crunchy but scratched up my mouth. The table set up is overcrowded and super congested to the point where it's easier to walk out of the market and around to get to your table/get silverware or pick up food. The service here is one of the worst I've experienced in Portland. The people at the front desk are not welcoming, a bit snarky honestly. I waited 45 for my sandwich and a ton of people received their orders before I did, even though I arrived and ordered first. When I asked about the food, the staff was unhelpful and tried to reaffirm that it would be out soon before I waited another 15 min for it to come out. The food here is not worth the wait, service, or uncomfortable environment. read more

Food was ok, not great. Country friend streak had decent breading but pretty under seasoned overall, and the meat itself was over cooked and tough. The chicken and waffle was good though. Service was efficient - a good quick breakfast spot. I would come back and try other things on their menu! read more
It's nice to have another good breakfast option in the Beaverton area. I would say the food are comparable to the more expensive brunch places in Portland for less $ and also no wait, at least we when came on a Friday when they just opened. Chicken fried steak (which is made of beef), and the chicken and waffles are great. The size of the meat is quite large here, so make sure to consider this before ordering chicken and waffles with 2 chickens. The mac and cheese balls are crisp and gooey on the inside. Waffle on a stick are just average, nothing special, so I don't really recommend. They could be good for kids. I was thinking to try the other sweet waffle options as they look intriguing, but maybe next time! read more

Are you kidding me?! This is not a 4+ star place. We ordered 2 Fried Chicken and waffles, and 1 Monte Cristo. The Monte Cristo was flavorless, the turkey and ham was dry, and the hash browns were burnt to a crisp. The fried chicken had a good spice, but look at the pics. They were slightly burnt. And the chicken was dryyyyyyyy. Major thumbs down. Waffle was meh, and a fail for not having maple syrup. This place was trash. We couldn't figure out WHY this place was busy. Not good food here. Came by for some breakfast around 9AM on Monday. It was pretty empty so we found a table easily after ordering at the counter. I got the Ace, which is a classic bacon egg and cheese but between two waffles. Pretty solid - no issues. Pretty much exactly how you think it'll taste. Waffles are better than Eggo but seemed to lack the crispy outside, soft inside I get from a normal waffle maker. A little french toasty in texture? Goes well with a bit of the syrup they give on the side. Overall a cute breakfast joint, especially if you want to try waffle sandwiches. Staff is very friendly. read more

Cute little breakfast joint, right off the main drag. The food is diner style and pretty good. My potatoes where way undercooked, but the waffles were crunchy on the outside and moist in the inside, just how we like them. Would comeback for the lolly waffles, the grandkid loves the pizza one. read more
Decent food. Everything felt really carb-heavy and just heavy on general. The Mac Daddy was a fun spin on mac & cheese/waffles. Wish it had just a little more mac. Wish the bacon was less cooked. The hash browns were yummy! Took about 20 min for us to get our food. The man taking our order was nice and welcoming. read more
Fun counter service spot for breakfast or lunch. Food was excellent, Chicken and Waffle was my fave. Chicken was very tasty with good crispy breading and boneless meat. Very filling, good portions. Friendly staff, patient with our questions as first time visitors. 5/5, would visit again! read more

Do they have any gluten free options?
At this time we don't have gluten free waffles, sorry! We do have breakfast options without waffles, however. And we're always happy to make custom breakfasts, whenever we can.
Any vegetarian breakfast options?
We can substitute Hashbrowns for meat on any of the sandwich options. We also have fruit & waffle options. We will have a Blueberry/Lemon waffle on the menu thru the end of July. Hope this Helps! Julie Robinson
