-Chicken Caesar Salad- wrap

Ordered this for work one day and was blown away. This place should be voted #1 Garlic Potatoes in Portland. The sandwich's were great, but those fries will never be forgotten. Make the journey, DEFIANTLY check out this food cart.

My son was feeling like eating a sandwich for lunch and I stumbled upon Mood Food using Yelp. We live about 3 miles away but never frequented this small food cart pod on 99. There is plenty of parking spots and a covered eating area. We ordered The Cure and The Hot Mess with side winder fries. Didn't take too long and brought our food home to eat. The Cure is amazing-fresh ingredients, delicious focaccia and the hot honey and red wine vinaigrette make it oh so tasty! The Hot Mess was awesome! Everything that a smash burger needs. The fries were cooked perfectly and nice & hot. We also loved the sauce offerings, and if you like spice there are plenty of choices. The staff was so helpful and positive, everything served with a smile. We plan to go back as we have 3-4 more entrees to try.

My favorite taco truck was closed, so we dropped by this cart location to check it out. Wow, were we glad we did! I had the Southern Comfort Chicken sandwich and my girl had the Cheat Day. The chicken was juicy and breaded lightly. It had been marinated with citrus. The spread was light and accented and the lettuce and tomatoes fresh. The brioche bun was fluffy and slightly sweet adding to the sweet pickles. I was most impressed. The Cheat Day was generous in bacon and beef with a sauce that delighted my girl. I included photos of this burger herein. Finnaly the fries were whole potatoes in curl cut with light batter. Im not even a fry fan, but I ate all of them with the standout Spicy Garlice sauce. Yum! 5/5 I will come back!

Mediterranean Fries

Was hankering for a sandwich so I typed in sandwiches into Google Maps to see what was nearby. First place that popped up was Mood Food! I'd never heard of it. It's brand new! We stopped by on a Saturday night. Everything on their menu looks amazing! I opted for the Caesar Salad. He recommended I upgrade my chicken to the fried chicken since I said the chicken sandwich sounded good too. I also added avocado and bacon. Making it large salad and easily two full meals! It was so good! And the homemade croutons were delicious! And that's coming from someone who doesn't eat croutons! My partner ordered the chicken sandwich with buffalo. I can't remember the name, but it was really good. We got the Mediterranean fries. It's a very large order so even sharing we didn't even get through half of it! So tasty though! Very friendly service. Chatted with for a long time and even gave us a sample of the blue cheese. I'm pretty sure blue cheese and delicious have never crossed paths for me, but this one was excellent. Super creamy! I can't wait to go back and try more of their food. Please do stop by and support them!

It was lacking that strong garlicky, buttery flavor. It still satisfied my cravings though! The ribs were also good and were fall off the bone tender. I would pass on the Huli Huli Chicken next time because it was a bit dry. I also didn't care for the potato Mac salad. I would come back in a heartbeat. For a food truck, I'm thoroughly impressed. This is some of the best Hawaiian food I've had in Portland/Vancouver. I've tried GrindwTryz, Kiawe Island Bistro, Ohana Hawaiian Cafe, Ate oh Ate, Hula Boy Charbroil, Hawaiian Style Grill and Hawaiian Soul and the two places I would go back to are GrindwTryz and Kanaka Island Grill. If I had to pick between those two choices I'd pick Kanaka if distance wasn't a concern. Be prepared to wait a little. Service was friendly and we went with about an hour left and they were still pretty well stocked. You can also eat outdoors or inside at the nearby bar.

I was thinking, 'For that price, it better be like, steakhouse quality.' ... and it was. Oh my gosh. The guava ribs were to die for, and the portion she gave me was huge. I've never had guava glazed ribs before, so I've got nothing to compare it to, but it was amazing. The flavor was more sweet and less salty as opposed to a tomato based barbecue glaze. The guava really came through. The meat fell off the bone easily, because it was cooked perfectly. I wished I could eat it all before it got cold, but I could not. The Huli Huli chicken was great, too. The rice was perfect. The Mac was a little better than average. I just wished there was more of it, since I got exactly one scoop. The lady who helped me was cool, and obviously gave me a huge portion. Based on the price, I can't really afford to eat here more than once right now, but if I could, I'd make this a weekly thing. Probably in the top three to five of some of the best Hawaiian I've ever had.

It was our first time in downtown Tigard. We were surprised to see the wide open plaza with lots of grass for the pups, and seating around the perimeter for humans of all abilities. The plaza has 3 food trucks with excellent customer service, trash, recycling, bathrooms and water fountains. There is a wide walking path, a nature preserve perfect for bird watching and a wooden path that takes you to a nearby trail.
