Even though I have moved to Lake Oswego, I still will drive to Vina Deli for their delicious food. I have been coming here for many years. I enjoyed the visits with the owners - a sweet and delightful couple. I went back today after a long absence and met their son who is now the owner. I asked about his parents and he said they were semi retired. Well, let me tell you their son is also kind and helpful. I ordered 2 phos and some other treats - Vietnamese yogurt with black sticky rice. I love the combo truly comfort food. I also ordered a savory pastry delicious crust and a pork meatball inside. I also love their lychee jelly drink.So good that I finished both in the car on my drive home. The pho hit the spot as well. First time in today for lunch and this is gonna be a new spot for us for sure. Thanks Vina Deli for our first respectfully priced meal out in a really long time. Food was great - I got a roast beef croissant sandwich and my husband got the Vietnamese style grilled chicken. And then we just split each in half and shared because both were so good. I feel we are going to be coming here quite a lot. Great food, nice people, and I don't feel guilty and depressed about spending 40 bucks at a nasty fast food chain LOL. Find VinaDeli in the H Mart & Mizumi Buffet lot, 2 mi from Costco and so much better lol. There's a handful of tables and the bathrooms, tiled modern, are very clean. $7.50 Grilled Chicken, and Grilled Pork, Banh Mi's were served in red baskets, nicely warmed, crisp and soft inside. Meats were just about enough, could go for a tad more but flavorful, lemongrass fish sauce not overly sweet and veggies were fresh and crisp. Vietnamese Coffee was excellent with sweetened milk and not as cloyingly sweet as most pour-overs. Great deal $5.79 for 16oz, served quickly, no need to wait for the pour over process. Tonight I had a craving for Pho soup and also a banh mi. I went all out to even include a Thai tea with Rainbow jelly. I found all 3 here at Vina Deli. I took the food to go because I wanted to eat it at home. The soup was a little cold when I arrived at the house, so I reheated it on the stove. When I took my first sip out of the pho, the flavor of the soup was delicious. This was even before adding any additional items like the lime for example. I have tried other pho places around the area and their soups were either too salty or bland but the flavor of the broth is the real winner here. I think this place is way better than all of the places I've already tried. The bahn mi was another pleasant surprise. The bread was still hot and the crust was crunchy on the outer shell of the baguette. Quite a surprise. I think that's the reason why it took a little bit longer for my order to get out because the baguettes were still baking in the oven. No worries because I was in no rush and I was actually checking on my social media. The Thai tea with Rainbow jelly was super affordable at 5.50. Who can beat that price? All in all, I think I paid the pretty good price for my dinner and I ate and drank all three items because I was super hungry (actually I left a little bit for my daughters to try when they get home). Usually order Pho through door dash- food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. The last time I went in person to order, and was greeted with amazing service. They have a freezer of traditional Vietnamese options and I was pleasantly surprised (not listed on DoorDash). Reminds me of restaurants back home. I had a larger order, they packaged it nicely and securely in a brand new box for me which I appreciated. Menu was a little confusing because the main menu only had sandwiches, but I knew they had pho (as I've ordered previously on door dash). Their pho and drink menu is on the left side of the wall when you order, away from the main menu so I can see it being easily missed. I ordered pho, which is amazing as always. My sister ordered vegetarian pho, which tbh we wouldn't call it pho other than the rice noodles however the flavor was immaculate. It's more of a vegetable noodle dish, loaded with vegetables. My sister said it was the best vegetarian "pho" she's ever tasted. We also ordered banh mi sandwiches, which were all loaded with vegetables (love!). The bread was soft, flaky and delicious. However, the meat to veggie portion was off so you got more bread and veggies above anything else. I probably won't order sandwiches from here again due to the meat ratio but will continue to order their pho and drinks. I'm also interested in trying their banh cuong. It was on the other side of the counter so I didn't see it until after I ordered. read more

I've been meaning to review this place for years. This is my go-to spot for pho and banh mi. Their menu is simple but delicious.. everything tastes super fresh and absolutely yummy. The inside has a few tables and the service is always friendly. They have a wonderful homemade chili oil that they offer in the restaurant as well as a bulk jar to buy. When the weather starts to turn gloomy or I feel a cold coming on.. I come here for the chicken pho. My daughter prefers the steak. Their menu portion of pho is great but the portion in their banh mi, is my only complaint. I like the grilled pork but for the price, $7, there is very little meat for the price. If they'd pack a little bit more; I'd give a 5 star. Overall though, this is my favorite spot in Tigard. read more

Stopped in for dinner - tried the wonton noodle soup and it was really good. Came with wontons, noodles, pork, shrimp, and lots of tasty broth. As a self proclaimed pho critic I would say this place is decent. I've certainly had better pho in the Portland metro area but this is a great lunch spot. The flavor of the broth was great but the meat was sparse. Probably only a few 1/2 pieces of meatball & a couple pieces of brisket. This place was recommended on a random Facebook thread for good bahn mi sandwiches and I have never been more thankful for a recommendation. The sandwiches are super fresh, made really well and absolutely delicious. I haven't been able to try everything yet, but judging by the sandwiches, the "on the go" sticky rice snacks, and the boba teas, this place won't disappoint with any of their menu items. The people who run/own the place are also absolute sweet angels. A thousand times would recommend. It feels like you step into someone's grandmas house when you walk in. Do yourself a favor and go. We were looking for a Vietnamese nearby and this was rated pretty high. Not sure why now that I've eaten here. We ordered the Vina baguette special, the Vina Pho special, chicken pho, and the pork and shrimp salad rolls. Everything was meh. Not great, not bad, just average. For a bread place, I was expecting really good sandwiches, but the bread was hard and it wasn't very flavorful. The salad rolls were bland and not very good. The staff were nice enough and it seems to be family ran. Since it is a deli they ask you if it's for here or to go when you first walk in. First time trying Vina out today. Friendly folks running the business. Decided on the Saigon Bacon banh mi and a combo steam bun. Thought the bacon would have some kind of unique quality like Viet meatballs but pretty much was like reg bacon, no complaints otherwise, solid sando 4.2/10. Was not a big fan of the combo bun, was a bit soggier than I'd like and was not filled as much as I'm used to. The bun also lacked seasoning throughout so was underwhelming, I'd say 2.8/5. They do also serve Pho and other plates that I may stop by and try next time in town. For a sando, bun and bev, it was less than $15. Overall experience, 3.8/5 read more

After going back and trying even more of their menu, I am further mystified at the fact this place doesn't have a line out the door constantly, and we can just walk in and get a table. First things first, the banh mi. We got the house special, and it's the first banh mi outside Vietnam that's made *me* feel special. Like, what did I do to deserve this? Am I maybe loved? By some unknowing, all seeing entity that guided me towards being here, right now, eating this sandwich? Is this karma for being a good person in a past life? Is this what it means to be content and fulfilled? The texture of the bread whispered in a crunch, "you are enough, now, find peace." But the jalapeño grabbed my tongue and reminded me to stay here and be present before drifting off to nirvana. The meat was delicious and the pickled carrot provided enough crunch against the fluffiness of the bread and softness of the meat, that on texture alone, there was a symphony my poor monkey brain was almost unable to process, in the best way. And let's talk about the Pate So. This pastry was flakier than a Gen Z new hire at a 7am meeting, and so buttery that lesser dairy based spreads are probably scared of being in the same oven. The way it broke apart upon biting and, the immediate harmony between the meat and bread, complimenting each other as the flavor increased with each chew, reminded me of a tornado meeting a wildfire, and the whole thing exploding to a crescendo in a firestorm of flavor. I was craving for Filipino Steamed Buns (Siopao Asado) after dinner, yes, after dinner! Since you can't find Siopao Asado in Portland, I searched for a Vietnamese place with steamed buns, and found this place. They have 2 different kinds of Siopao: pork combo and pork bbq. I got one of each, one for hubby and 1 for me, cut in half so we can try both. We both agree that we will be coming back more often for the pork combo Siopao. LOVE VinaDeli! Such a nice little eatery with very good food and friendly people who's only goal is to feed you and make you happy. Located across the parking lot from H Mart and unfortunately, the Starbuck's drive thru lane often blocks the parking spots right in front of the door. Just be patient during busy times. The menu includes phos, beef stew, curries, bahn mi sandwiches, steam buns, breakfast sandwiches, salad rolls, bubble teas, & Vietnamese coffees and drinks. There's also a small selection of grocery items, along with a refrigerator/freezer section where you can buy fish cake and their pate for sandwiches. I've enjoyed the turkey, bacon, and egg baguette for breakfast a few times. Delicious and great for picking up on your way to work or taking on a road trip because it's easy to eat and drive. My bahn mi of habit is the BBQ pork (no pate and no cucumbers). The bread is freshly baked in-house and the sandwich itself is nicely full, with no skimping on fillings. Another reviewer said they didn't put pickled veggies on the sammies but I've always had them on mine. Sometimes we buy just the baguette to make sandwiches at home too. Last time we ordered just the bread -hot out of the oven- they were a dollar a piece. Pretty good deal imho. The shrimp & pork salad rolls are exceptional. I KNOW they are freshly made because I ask for no cucumber and my order comes exactly as I ask. The peanut sauce is a tad thin and sweeter than I care for though. Parking is easy (except for Starbuck's, mentioned above), right in front. They are still doing curbside pickup and have a designated parking space for that.
