Their menu!
Jenny P.

I tried their ube coffee and their size cup is much larger than other Vietnamese cafes I've tried before! It had a good ube flavor and the strength of the coffee was what I needed to stay up! I haven't had a chance to try their sandwiches, but I can't wait to return to try other drinks and their food items soon! The girl who rang me up was nice and professional. Place doesn't have a large dining area, but there is enough seatings to hang out at. Highly recommend their Vietnamese coffee here!

Environment: it was a small area and they share the same space as I think the Mediterranean restaurant on the other side. Staff: friendly Food: I got the grilled pork banh mi. The bread was nice and crispy but the pork part was so so in my opinion. The flavors were on the sweeter side, it didn't taste grilled, and there was a lot of fat so maybe they used pork belly but it got heavy and oily quite quickly for me. The price is also more expensive than other places- I guess it's because of the location since Bethany is fancier. It was okay and worth trying once.

Coconut milk matcha, coconut smoothie, egg coffee

Great drinks We went here after going next door to check out Buttercoop Bakery's grand opening. We didn't order at food because we enjoyed treats from Buttercoop, but we enjoyed their drinks. One coco milk matcha, one coconut smoothie, and one egg coffee. All delicious! I'm a big lover of matcha, so I really enjoyed the drink being less sweet and more bitter. You can always adjust the level of sweetness for your drink too. One thing I liked about this place is the amount of variety on their menu. They have all sorts of coconut milk and coconut juice smoothies and milk teas, it made it hard for me to choose. Guess I'll have to come back! If you're allergic to dairy, their coconut drinks are an excellent option without sacrificing quality and taste.

I had heard about this from some of my friends and had to go and see what they were excited about. Food-Ordered a sandwich and a fruit tea with lychee jelly. Perfect combo on a hot sunny day. The sandwich bread was fresh and flavorful. The tea with perfect balance of sweetness was refreshing. Service-Friendly greeting and order came out quickly. Ambiance-It's small and it shares a space with a Greek restaurant. Two tables and a long eating bar. Not really a spot to hang out unless it's for a quick bite. Glad I tried it.

Their coco coffee avocado was good but came with lots of ice.
Yuli L.

We came for the avocado coffee and it was pretty good. There was a lot of ice in the drink so unfortunately it didn't last that long. We also got two sandwiches, M2 (pork loaf/pate) and M4 (grill pork). My husband liked his grilled pork sandwich, but I found the marinade a bit too sweet for me. At the same time, I found my pork loaf and pate sandwich a bit bland. I wish there was more pate to moisten and flavor the sandwich a bit more. The service was also alright. The staff took our order without engaging any conversation. Which is totally fine, we just didn't get to know the staff and/or establish any connection. Overall, I wish I liked Bamiti more as we were excited to see another Banh Mi place in the area. I think I will stick to my favorite Banh Mi restaurant in my area though.

Vietnamese coffee, rose matcha and labubu topping
Binh T.

I gave this place a couple try but I think my expectations were always higher than what delivered. I was excited to try banh mi and Vietnamese coffee the first time when it was first opened and both were just ok. There wasn't much of a special touch to the coffee that I would come back. Banh mi was just ok as well. We stopped by for another visit recently because I wanted to get the labubu topping as advertised. A little disappointed they just made a plain white color, no additional of distinguish for a more detailed labubu looking. ( I did get a labubu topping at a bubble tea place in Canada and it was a lot better). Rose matcha was not bad.. We don't live nearby this store and I only wanted to come check out and support asian owned restaurants/ boba shops. I wouldn't make a drive far out to come back for future visits. However, If you live nearby the store, please come checkout and give it a try.

Egg Coffee

The Best Banh Mi in Portland is here! Got pate in it, make it legit along with thick traditional cold cuts and pickled vegetables and egg cream.. to go with that Coffee.. both Ube and Egg Coffees were really good.. not too sweet to complement the strongness Restaurant shares restroom and space with Mediterranean next door Good Service and prices are just right Casual cafe type ambiance with not too much seating Pho was decent as it had a unique and clean non-fatty broth but meat a bit tough

Banh mi dac biet
Kim L.

There's a medley of things that have to be right to make a banh mi and for Bamiti it's the bread. It is light, airy, soft yet crunch and super fresh. I could eat these baguettes alone. The filling of the dac biet was okay. I think they could load up on pate or add something with a little more saltiness. I would also prefer French butter over mayo. As a Viet who's eaten many banh mi's I have my preferences but it doesn't take away that bamiti has delicious banh mi's. I also highly recommend the avocado espresso. So good.

We came here during the soft opening. I prefer to dine-in for pho because it's just better when cooked and served fresh and you're using real ceramic bowls and chopsticks. Unfortunately, this place seems more geared towards take-out, probably because there is very little seating. Luckily, the pho was served in a non-plastic bowl, and we got metal spoons, but everything else from the cups to chopsticks were disposable. The pho itself was fine, but nothing stood out as exceptional.

Egg coffee
Charlie T.

I was looking forward to trying this place out for the drinks, banh mi, and pho. Maybe we came here on an off day, but the pho was a bit salty and the noodles were over cooked for us. The egg coffee, was pretty good and strong. The interior is pretty small and shares space with another restaurant.

Ube coffee, pot stickers, bahn mi

Love this place; best Vietnamese coffee in town. Occasionally I add on the Ube topping as a special treat. Their appetizers and bahn mi are tasty as well - great spot for lunch or a coffee/tea pick me up! The staff is super friendly and kind and introduced me to Ube cream with a free sample. I often spend a few hours working here; the wifi is decent. Maybe some time they'll add some tables out front for the warm summer days?

Lychee Rose Drink
Carmela G.

We got the M1 and it's arguably one of the best I have tried in PDX. They are not stingy with the meats and the pate. It's really very good! I love the lychee rose drink, hubby did not like this. We also had their shrimp salad roll, it's ok.

Pho and Grilled Beef Salad Roll

I've come to the Bamiti for their drinks so many times, I love all of their coffee options and Coconut Matcha - so refreshing!! Their Pho is so heartwarming and the salad rolls Goi Cuon are hugeeee to keep you full hah!

It also suffers slightly from that association, as one might consider it "hospital food", with all of its sordid associations. Thankfully, I can confirm there's nothing to worry about here. It's not "top shelf" sushi, by any means, but what they offer is still delicious, prepared competently and quickly, and priced affordably. My wife and I dined here after an entire half-day spent in a series of appointments and check-ups, and were famished by the time we wandered over to check this place out (we'd been meaning to ever since our last extended visit to OHSU). Among the multiple rolls in our order, the Miso Sexy and the Valentine rolls stood out among our favorites; they also make a decent miso soup here, too: not too watery, not too strong, but just right! As my wife is pregnant (again!), I know another visit to Momiji is on the horizon, as we will definitely be delivering at OHSU again. When that time comes, there's no doubt I'll be sneaking out of the delivery room, skipping the cafeteria, and making a bee-line straight for this place, likely smuggling a spicy tuna hand roll or two back with me (my wife's favorite).

I was looking for food nearby and came across this restaurant. The food was surprisingly delicious! We ordered the chicken katsu curry, kama-age udon (hokkai miso soup), and the kama-meshi seafood. The chicken katsu was cooked perfectly: crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside! The sauce also was the perfect texture and taste. My favorite was the kama-age udon with the hokkai miso soup. I love udon but sometimes don't like how thick it is because it fills you up faster and is harder to digest, the udon here is thinner which I fell in love with! It's soft and chewy and the perfect thickness: you dip it on the soup when you eat it. I also loved the soup, I usually have leftover soup when eat noodles, but I finished every last sip! Definitely recommend this dish if you were to only order one item! We also ordered the kama-meshi seafood. I thought this one tasted okay! The flavors of the seafood come through, but I personally like stronger and heavier flavors. It was worth a try! Parking: This restaurant is in downtown portland so it was difficult to find parking. We ended up parking at a nearby garage and paid for parking. They do have a few street parking spots near the restaurant if you want to test your luck! Seating and service: We were seated really quickly as we went on a weekday! They have several tables and a large table that can be reserved as well as bar spots. The restaurant overall looks really nice and is pretty spacious. The servers were really nice and fast to get you what you need! A side note: they have heated toilet seats in their restroom so that's always a plus!

While a few things stood out, the meal as a whole didn't quite hit the high marks I was hoping for. Here is how it broke down: The Starters (The Highlight): Karaage (Fried Chicken): This was easily the best part of the meal. The pieces were large, juicy, and had a great, ultra-crispy crunch on the outside. Takoyaki: Decent texture and well-presented on a long plate with plenty of bonito flakes, making it a solid appetizer to share. The Mains (A Bit Average): Spicy Ramen: The noodles had a good chew, but the broth lacked the deep, rich complexity you expect from a really stellar ramen. Even with the spicy paste mixed in, the flavor profile felt a bit flat. Chashu Don (Rice Bowl): While it was a generous portion packed with chopped chashu and minced meat, it ended up tasting a bit monotone after a few bites and could have used more balance or a punchier sauce. Overall, it's a fine spot if you want a quick, filling meal, but the flavors didn't quite wow me enough to make it a standout. Solid, but nothing mind-blowing.
