Pad Kee Mao
Lydia T.

I made an online reservation and thought it was a little odd that it said *"we'll let you know if we can take it"* after submitting. I waited a few hours without hearing back, so I eventually called, and they confirmed they could get us in. I'm not a fan of this type of reservation system--it feels uncertain, and if a time slot isn't available, it probably shouldn't be selectable. That said, once we arrived on a busy Saturday night, we were seated right away, which was a pleasant surprise. We started with cocktails, which were fun and well-made. For appetizers, we ordered the Brussels sprouts (amazing!) and calamari. The calamari wasn't what we expected--the rings were so tiny they almost looked like little pieces rather than the usual size. For my main dish, I had the Pad Kee Mao. They brought out the wrong dish for my main. So they had to go back and remake it. The portion was generous, the flavors were spot-on, and the prices overall felt more than reasonable for the quality of food. Service throughout the evening was friendly and attentive. Even though the reservation process could use improvement, the food, drinks, and service made up for it. We'll definitely be back!

Wrapping up PDX nacho week, Aji Tram never misses a beat with their offerings. This time it was the Bulgogi Nachos. I love this fusion style of nachos. The sauce they use in combination with the cheese is just amazing and the nacho chips are crispy and not soggy. Like seriously, this needs to be a regular item here. Where have these nachos been all my life?!? Oh and yes, I did use chopsticks to eat them. It just added to the experience and kept my hands clean. Win/win! But I'm telling you I couldn't stop licking the owl clean of that sauce. The other patrons were probably looking at me with an OMG expression, but I didn't care. It was that good. It was a slow afternoon so we were seated quickly and we just wanted to eat the nachos and move on to the next place for nachos. Our waitress did a good job but I had this feeling that she kept looking at us like is that it? Aren't you ordering more? The thing is I've been here before and it's always been good. I'll be by back again to try more of their dishes. Plenty of parking and there are a few tables outside. They have a full bar and several TVs too.

Excellent meal! Mixed review on the staffing this visit, but as usual the meal was amazing! Our favorite is always the street noodles- tried the cucumber salad for the first time, it was great- simple but satisfying!

[gluten free review]: This place has been on my list for a while - not because I heard all about it, but because I had driven by it and always wondered what it had to offer. Now, typically a Friday night is not the best time to visit a place that doesn't take reservations, but upon arrival, we were greeted, waited in line for a few short minutes and then were seated in the bar area. (Be aware - we were just a party of 2 - families of 4-5 ppl waited around 20 min for a table). The staff was friendly and the ambiance was lively and family friendly. After getting seated, we took a minute to decide on our drinks and starters. The wait staff was extremely kind and patient, but didn't leave us hanging once. We ordered the lettuce wraps as a starter along with two of the spicy cocktails (we both tried a different one). The chicken that was served with the lettuce wraps gave a crunchy kung-pao type of flavor and we ate those SO fast. We ended up both ordering the spicy street noodles - my partner got the beef and I got the ground pork per my waiter's suggestion. We finished our meals and loved every bite start to finish!! The cocktails were absolutely banging with the spicy noodles we ordered ~ the sweet, tangy, tart, spicy flavors all melded together with the tequila for a delightful and fun experience. We'll be back soon - but I can't recommend coming here on a cold day to warm up with some delicious Asian fusion cuisine.

I've been here multiple times and I'm never disappointed. Tonight we had the veggie salad rolls, lettuce wraps & pad Thai. The lettuce wraps were exceptionally good and they used butter lettuce rather than iceberg. Menu is marked for GF, but watch out for fried items as they have a common fryer. Server was celiac aware and friendly. They do well taking your plate when done which I appreciate. We were near the bar so football games were visible. Cozy place; would be nice if their happy hour went until 5:40 rather than 5 pm.

I came here during happy hour one day and was pleasantly surprised. The inside of the restaurant is lively with TVs, lots of tables, and a big bar. In the summer, the windows/walls open to make the space more livelier and invite in the summer air. Service here was pretty quick and nice. When I came, I ordered the brussel sprouts, calamari, chicken wings, and spicy street wings. Everything was delicious, and a lot better than I expected. I loved the brussel sprouts and noodles the most, but the calamari and wings weren't bad! Overall, not a bad spot for Asian fusion food in Lake Oswego.

Tasty food, good drinks, friendly service. I got an Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl that was enjoyable and well portioned. The cocktail I got was also good! I went at 6:30 on a Sunday night and it was busy. Seemed like a popular spot. There was a wait but it was very quick and the hostess was very kind and accommodating.

Yummmmm! 1st time at Aji Tram, and absolutely loved it! Great food. Good options and friendly service!

Let me begin by saying that dining at Aji Tram in Lake Oswego is not a meal--it's a pilgrimage. A spiritual awakening. A culinary opera performed on a wok-shaped stage, where soy sauce sings soprano and ginger tap dances across your tongue. If you haven't been, cancel your dentist appointment, reschedule your wedding, and get thee to Aji Tram. The Wings of Glory The wings. Oh, the wings. These are not mere poultry appendages. They are phoenix feathers dipped in ambrosia and flash-fried by Zeus himself. Each bite is a thunderclap of flavor--crispy, sticky, spicy, sweet, tangy, and somehow emotionally healing. I wept openly after the third wing. A server approached with a tissue and whispered, "We understand." I felt seen. The Calamari of Humility Now, let us address the calamari. Tiny. Minuscule. Lilliputian. These morsels are so small, I'm convinced they were harvested from a secret society of bonsai squid. But do not mistake their size for weakness. Each bite is a concentrated burst of oceanic poetry. It's as if Poseidon himself bottled the essence of the sea and injected it into these bite-sized miracles. I ate twelve and still felt like I was nibbling on the concept of calamari rather than the actual creature. It's postmodern. It's brilliant. Fusion or Fever Dream? The menu is a fever dream of pan-Asian ambition. Thai basil meets Korean gochujang in a forbidden romance. Vietnamese lemongrass flirts shamelessly with Japanese miso. The result? Dishes that defy geography and logic. I ordered something called "Tram Fire Noodles" and briefly lost consciousness. When I awoke, I had a new tattoo and a deeper understanding of my childhood trauma. Drinks That Challenge Reality The cocktails are liquid riddles. I sipped a lychee martini that tasted like a haiku written by a drunk samurai. The bartender, who may or may not be a retired philosopher, told me the drink was inspired by "the fleeting nature of joy." I nodded solemnly and ordered three more. Ambiance: Zen Meets Chaos The décor is a masterclass in contradiction. Bamboo plants whisper serenity while neon dragons scream "PARTY!" The music oscillates between Tibetan throat singing and K-pop remixes of Celine Dion. I felt both relaxed and ready to fight a tiger. The lighting is dim enough to make you feel mysterious but bright enough to read the menu and question your life choices. Service Fit for Emperors and Existentialists The staff glide--not walk--across the floor. They anticipate your needs before you know them. I thought about asking for extra napkins, and one appeared. I considered ordering dessert, and a server whispered, "The mango sticky rice is calling to you." I didn't even speak. They just knew. Final Verdict Aji Tram is not just a restaurant. It's a portal. A vortex of flavor and philosophy. The wings will elevate you. The calamari will humble you. The fusion will confuse and enlighten you. Five stars is not enough. I give it five stars, a standing ovation, and a slow clap that echoes through eternity. Now, do you want me to write a haiku about those wings? Because I will.

Family about to have an amazing dinner filled with delectable taste to high ten the moment.

We were seated outside as requested on our late arrival that they honored. Then out came Hope, our bright and cheery server. She's such a delight! We had some much fun with her personality. We immediately ordered the pork bahn and cauliflower. Delicious! If you love ahi, try the bowl! An amazing array of flavors. I'll let the other two entrees speak for them themselves and keep them a secret. We finished dinner with the Banana Republic cocktail which I can't even begin to explain. It should be an after dinner treat. We didn't stop there. We enjoyed the evening with a spicy mango cocktail as well! What a treat! It was a heavenly range of flavors. Like a tropical mouth punch you have to experience. I highly recommended it! Thank you Ají Tram for an incredible birthday experience!

I would rate this place 4.5/5 mostly because of the stellar service! We visited here on a Sunday and found it moderately packed but got a table right away. We ordered calamari, cauliflower, Thai noodle special and spicy noodles with tofu. Also got the Thai iced tea and mango lemonade both of which were delicious and fresh. The cauliflower was crispy, cooked to perfection and coated well with the sauce. The pickled ginger on top was the best thing about it. My only gripe would be that it wasn't spicy. The calamari was well received by the husband and it was a sizable portion! The husband got the Thai noodle special with an addition of shrimp (which was expensive but worth it) and he could not stop raving about it. The spicy noodles were well cooked, had lots of veggies and the tofu was well integrated into the dish (rather than just being added to it). Again my only gripe would be that it needs to be way spicier to be called spicy noodles. The highlight of our meal was our friendly server. There was a slight delay with getting my entree (which honestly I had not noticed) and she gave us complimentary spring rolls which were also delicious. My other wish for this place (in addition to "please make things three times spicer") would be to add more vegetarian options. They have a limited menu and we could tell that they do all of these dishes justice - but a couple more veggie options would make this a truly inclusive meal and one of the best spots in the area for us!

After seeing all the shrimp and pad thai, I was hoping they forgot about the potstickers. . .lol. . . but they didn't. I decided to try to eat all the shrimp first because shrimp doesn't heat up well in the microwave, and I didn't want my room to smell fishy. The wonton wrapper around the shrimp tasted old, and some of the shrimp were not cleaned. Did that stop me from eating all of them. . . NO! The potstickers and pad thai tasted good, and I took most of them back for lunch and dinner for the week.
