I love this neighborhood bar! Clean, well decorated, friendly staff, fabulous food and overall fun atmosphere. Pool tables, lottery, and two patios (front and back) to enjoy when the weather is good! The place has kind of a 'Cheers' vibe...welcoming and the kind of place you could see yourself spending a lot of time at.

Thank you Peppers bar and friends. I cannot express enough admiration for the employees and patrons of Peppers bar. Ashley, Andrea, Joel, Marney...thank you for being such awesome bartenders and genuinely good people. Peppers is a bar, it does not say grill. So do not expect 5 star cuisine, though they make some great drunchie food! If you're looking for a meal, there's a great BBQ, Mexican, and pizza place right near by you're welcome to bring food back from to watch the game, or just hang with friends and have some decently priced drinks. $2 Tuesday Bud/Coors light, ladies drink night Thursdays, happy hour 4-6 M-F, need I say more?! Please note, if you're looking for a place to get shit faced, please spare us your antics and just head to Portland. Peppers is a family and respect is earned through positivity and knowing how to hold your liquor. Don't get me wrong, I've been wasted many a morning for Sunday pool tournaments, Bingo on the 20th of every month, live music, and just general celebrations; the family at Peppers is there to have your back. I lost my job for a time, and they truly cared to ask about how I was doing, how my interviews went, and even bought me drinks a time or two when I was feeling really down. Screw the negative review/s you might see as those people came in feeling like they owned the place and are entitled to impeccable service. Peppers is a family and we are all equals; none of us are better than the others. When one of us wins, we all win, when one of us loses, we all lose. And that's the way we like it.

Got their vegetarian flatbread, by the bartender Ashley's recommendation. It was delicious!

Some of the best cocktails I've ever had -and they're pretty generous with their alcohol. Overheard one of the bartenders saying they had been bartending for over 20 years, and it shows. Didn't get the chance to try any of the food. Seating looks pretty limited due to the size of the house, but I heard there's a patio out back. Definitely will be coming back soon.

Bible Club was such a fun and memorable stop during our Portland trip…read more The speakeasy vibe is spot-on -- unassuming exterior, cozy interior, moody lighting, and just the right amount of theatrical flair without feeling cheesy or try-hard. It really does feel like you've discovered something special. The cocktails were excellent. Thoughtfully crafted, well-balanced, and creative without being gimmicky. Everything we ordered tasted intentional and high quality. We also shared a charcuterie board, which was a great call. Perfectly portioned, nicely curated, and a really good pairing with cocktails. What stood out just as much as the drinks was the atmosphere. It felt intimate, warm, and conversation-friendly -- the kind of place you want to linger. It was exactly the vibe we were looking for for a relaxed evening out. If you're into speakeasy-style bars, creative cocktails, and cozy, hidden-gem energy, Bible Club is an absolute must when you're in Portland.

We also ordered a classic burger which was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, and sat on a pillowy brioche bun. So good! Service was delight, our server was friendly and super informative. OK, so the fries were not as crispy as we'd like but that's not a dealbreaker. The space is great, the upstairs is nice and woody and warm, with a patio overlooking the street giving it a Euro vibe.

The bartender (a more mature fellow) was casually talking to someone, not serving him - standing in the restaurant talking. No one acknowledged we were there - or they would come back in a min. There were obviously plenty of people working a gal was putting candles on tables etc - we waited TEN mins to even have someone come over and give us a menu. The bartender seemed irritated at my question of did they have a pinot gris in the happy hour menu. "no, only chardonnay". And, when I asked for a taste - also seemed to irritate him. The food is great here - that is without question, which is why we went. And, it didn't disappoint. However - receiving the bill - there is a weird ADDED $1.25 for a "Hosting Fee"... Hosting Fee??? what the heck is thattttt. (if you google it will tell you that it's for 'helping the employees' basically) What? Then, I had gotten a regular non-premium martini. It says in menu Well Drinks are $8. A regular martini is just their well vodka and should be that. The charge for the martini was $12.00! Never going back - the service was lously. They are padding their prices and I can get much better treatment (and pours) at Five Spice or Tucci!
