The large antipasta salad with balsamic vinegar was fresh and tasty, and it's nice that you can choose your dressing . I really love the antipasta salad! The food is much the same - you get something that looks like Nonna was at the range all day with her sauce (it's not gravy - no meat) and you came home looking like you haven't eaten in weeks: "I'm gonna fatten you up before you leave" and you walked out the door with a sub (sandwich, that is - not a submarine) that weighed the same as a newborn. We got three of those babies: a Chicago Beef (seal of approval from the orderer - only 'complaint' was that they had to eat it all in one day because the bread was quote too soggy to make it to lunch the next day - travesty), an Italian sausage (just as delicious when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and a Chicken Parmeroni (I thought somehow even better when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and I could have absolutely gone back the next day if it weren't for A. the leftovers 2/3 of us had and B. the meal planning we'd done for the week. I also grabbed a side of giardiniera because I will get it anytime I see it available and I inhaled it - I need to know if I can by it by the vat instead of the side cups because it too was similar to what I can find at home (about practically nowhere out here) and amazing!! We ordered the chicken mole sandwich on a sesame baguette to share (Tu Mero Mole $14) - it was pretty big so it was plenty of food for me and my friend. The beans overpowered the chicken with not much avocado jalapeño salsa, and the queso fresco didn't add more flavor to it. Honestly the best part was the pickled onion and the fluffy yet crunchy sesame baguette. The pastries range between $3-$6 each which is very reasonable and we got 2 Conchas and 2 Guava Turnovers - both were very tasty and not too sweet! A key fact, they only serve one size sandwich a 12 inch. I ordered the chicken with pepperjack cheese, hot peppers (they are hot), black olives, pickles and mayo (I will share that you might ask for a smaller spread of mayo if you are not a huge mayo fan), my son ordered the Supreme with steak, mayo, unions, lettuce, tomato, jalapeños, mushrooms and steak sauce on a soft white roll. The bread was amazingly soft and holds up well with all of the toppings. One of the very friendly employees a young lady, sorry I did not get her name came over and immediately started to brew a fresh batch. I was so happy to see an employee take immediate action without prompting. She is a keeper. The food , I love the Italian with spicy peppers with all the fixings, it did not disappoint. It's one of the better Italian sandwiches out there. I liked the fact that Potbelly has very consistent sandwich prep. I appreciate the friendly staff and clean building.
