Came here on a weekend and it was popping despite it being sort of hidden. Great vibes, love the eclectic, older cottage, vibe. There is seating in the back too so don't be intimidated if there aren't a ton of open tables when you first walk in. That being said it fills up pretty quick so I'd definitely recommend going early on a weekend. the food is sort of where it missed the mark for me. I had the Ham Breakfast sandwich and my wife had the croque madam. Of the two, I'd definitely recommend the latter over the former. The sandwich was sort of underwhelming. The eggs were indeed fluffy as described but -it was really one-note. The croque madam was pretty good though.

A delicious brunch spot off the highway! Parking isn't great but you can park and walk just watch the highway traffic. The staff is welcoming and pleasant, very helpful when ordering. You start by ordering at the counter, they give you a number and just pick anywhere to sit. I believe there's also additional seating in back if needed but I can imagine the porch being perfect on a nice day. We ordered the bacon breakfast sandwich and the Croque Monsieur with an extra egg and side of bacon. I recommend the iced white chocolate mocha. They also have some boozy beverages to choose from. Prices are average, perfect portions, food served hot and fresh. Don't forget a pastry for the road!

A friend and I dropped into this cute old house converted in a yummy breakfast/lunch spot. On the third Friday of the Month, they have an After Hours Event from 3 to 7 where you can order from the lunch menu and enjoy live music. We arrived around 4 and it was hopping. Very interesting music, not my jam, but everyone seemed excited and I loved my chicken pot pie and side salad. My companion had chicken and waffles that was so huge she had to take half of it home. Hot Honey and gravy were included and it was hilarious to see her licking the honey from her fingers, she said it was that good. I most definitely would love to drop by here for breakfast.

It's become my tradition to ride my bike out here for a small breakfast every Sunday. Everyone is super friendly and the food is delicious. I normally grab some kind of pastry, a side of bacon and a coffee. This most recent time I had their biscuits and gravy. I don't like to toot my own horn, but biscuits and sausage gravy is one of those things I'm confident I can make better than any one I've tried in a restaurant. Theirs is the first I've really enjoyed more! Delicious biscuits and even better gravy. Next time I'll need to try it with a savory biscuit. You really can't go wrong with anything though, whether you're looking for savory or sweet there's surely something you'll enjoy!

I've never been here before, but it was a cute cozy cafe that seemed like everyone knew what to do. It was intimidating at first, I sat down with my MIL and grabbed a menu, till a nice employee let us know how it works. You order at one of the cashiers and then they give you a number and get a table. I think for it being our first time and it seemed quite busy, that we were just overwhelmed and sat down. But overall the staff was friendly, the layout was cozy. We got some marionberry puff pastries to go! And it was absolutely delicious. The special we had was delicious as well! Now personally for me I have two little kids, I personally probably wouldn't bring them just because of how intimate the seating arrangement feels. But if you have well behaved kids, go for it!

So enjoyed our first ever visit here. We WILL be back. Everything about EVERYTHNG was delish! Love the nostalgic and cutesy decor, plus the service was fast and friendly. Food was so so fresh!

I can't believe it's taken me this long to finally visit South Store Cafe! Their parking lot is small but we lucked out with a small spot in the back. We came on a Sunday around lunchtime and it was bustling with activities and hungry diners. You walk into the front door and it has an instant cabin and homey feel. You order at the counter and walk through a giant case of beautiful pastries and they do have gluten-free options for pastries and bread for sandwiches for my gluten-free friend. Service was friendly and attentive when ordering and after they dropped off the food. I got the Reuben sandwich special and a cup of potato leek soup while my friend got the BLT. Of course we shared some lovely sweet treats including a cookie, Marionberry pufftart, and a white chocolate raspberry croissant muffin thing (sorry I forgot the name it was so good though!) The seating options are cramped in the main dining room but there were plenty of more tables in the back. High chairs and booster seats available and silverware and take out boxes on the shelves by the water stations. My Reuben was flavorful and well toasted and the soup was creamy and filling, my toddler ate half the bowl! It was the perfect amount of food with some sweet treats to take home to enjoy later. Come support this local business and feel the coziness and deliciously comforting food for yourself!

Such an adorable family owned cafe, 20 minutes south of Hillsboro, surrounded by farms and beautiful landscapes. Just the drive here alone was nice and scenic. My bestie and I wanted to have brunch before we head over to Oregon Heritage Farms so we decided to come here. Parking can be a little challenging due to limited space, but luckily we found a spot in their parking lot. Once inside, you stand in line to place your order and they give you a number to take to your table. It was a gorgeous Sunday and the sun was out which gave the space a very warm ambiance as light filtered through the windows. The tables had cute vases of flowers, ours had a Dahlia which is my favorite flower of course! They serve Lunch all day and Breakfast until 1pm, however they have a special menu served on Sat & Sun only. Since we were there on a Sunday, I ordered the Croque Madame and my friend ordered the Ham & Cheese Croissant. Both were exquisite and delightful, the eggs were perfect and runny, and both orders came with fresh fruit. Our lattes were also wonderful and just right. As we sat and ate our food, I couldn't help but take in the vibrant and warm atmosphere as families and friends gathered here to enjoy good food, hearing the laughters, and seeing smiles on everyone's faces. It just really says a lot about how this business focuses on creating delicious, comforting food and making it a place that is welcoming for all. It makes you want to come back for more and support their business. Thank you South Store staff for your wonderful service!

We had a 10:45 reservation but ended up waiting outside on the sidewalk for over 40 minutes. We got a couple of "it'll be soon" updates and one offer to sit at a picnic table on the sidewalk. That wasn't an option for my husband's back. And, by that point, it felt like we'd already had the full sidewalk experience! To add to the frustration, we watched a table that would have fit our party turn over and be given to a group that had arrived well after us. Once seated, things didn't improve much. Our daughter has celiac disease, and after talking through options with our server, she ordered a modified breakfast plate. When it arrived, it had two slices of (gluten-full) toast placed right in the middle. We asked for a remake. While we were waiting someone came over to tell us (firmly) that the kitchen isn't dedicated gluten-free. We fully get that, but that's different from putting bread on top of everything on the plate, especially after we'd already discussed the restriction. As I was saying that, the staff member walked away. The interaction felt more like a lecture than the apology that would've been appropriate. The food overall was okay, but not memorable. My husband said the "special" Bloody Mary was the worst he's ever had--memorable, just not in a good way. On the positive side, the gluten-free coffee cake was excellent, and thankfully the company made the day worthwhile. My guess is there may have been an issue with our reservation. We made it in person previously and it was written in a notebook. When we called to confirm the day before, they initially couldn't find it. It felt like it might not have made it into the system, and they were trying to accommodate on the fly once they realized it. If that's the case, a little transparency upfront would have gone a long way--we would have appreciated the option to adjust our plans rather than end up waiting outside for so long. Overall, this felt like a series of misses and mishandled opportunities to improve the experience. It's also an excellent reminder of why I normally steer clear of dining out on holidays.

The staff is shockingly rude and many of my experiences over the last 2 years match the other 1-star reviews. Yesterday I arrived to sit outside. There was an available table, empty and cleaned right near the entrance but they require check in first so I attempted to get someone to check me in. Five employees stood just a few feet away, looked me in the eye, actively ignored me and turned away. I finally had to ask them (with their backs turned away) to please seat me and then more dismissive and unprofessional behavior continued. I keep hoping the rudeness it's just a one-off circumstance but sadly it's not. It's as if customers are an annoyance. Does the auto-added 18% gratuity really mean ya'll have zero incentive to be kind? I really wish the compulsion to make customer care a priority mattered more to them, auto-tip or not. It's such a stark contrast to the vibe at their sister restaurant Lola's. Lola's is warm, welcoming, and actually appreciates your business. It's confounding how these two restaurants can be owned by the same family. However, once we were seated, the experience immediately became unpleasant. Almost immediately after we sat down, the waitress approached us and told us that outside drinks were not allowed. She took my mother's Starbucks coffee. I refused to give her mine and put it in my purse. We then ordered our food. The waitress never asked if we wanted anything to drink, and when I requested certain items with my meal, I was immediately told that those items were not available and that I could only order exactly what was listed on the menu. After placing our order, we waited and waited. Approximately 25 minutes later, we asked about our food. We were told it would be another 10 minutes because they had been very busy even before we arrived. I understand restaurants can become busy, and I am generally very patient about waiting. However, after already waiting 25 minutes with no food and then being told we would need to wait another 10 minutes, I felt that was unacceptable. We decided to leave. What was most disappointing was the overall attitude toward us. From the moment we sat down, we felt unwelcome rather than treated as customers who were simply trying to have breakfast. A busy restaurant is understandable. Poor communication, lack of hospitality, and making customers feel unwelcome are not. I hope management will take this experience seriously and address it with the staff.
