If you want to make absolutely sure you're starving before breakfast, this is the place for you. We ended up waiting a little over two hours for a table because the quoted wait time kept creeping up in increments, and at some point we were too invested in the process to turn back and try somewhere else. The good news? The setting is beautiful. Since we had so much time on our hands, we got to wander the farm multiple times and really take in the scenery. There's also a coffee shop where you can grab pastries and drinks while you wait, which definitely helped. We all got coffees and did our best to stay patient. By the time we were finally seated, we were beyond hungry. Three of us ordered the same Eggs Benedict, my husband got the two-egg sandwich, and we added a waffle for the table. Unfortunately, the food took its sweet time arriving too. Honestly, I don't think the food was worth a two-hour wait. The potatoes were under-seasoned, the eggs weren't cooked properly, and overall everything just felt a little off. At that point we were all too hungry and slightly too cranky to complain, so we quietly ate and focused on making our exit. The waffles were probably the highlight and seemed to be the one thing everyone enjoyed. As for the rest, the quality didn't match the price tag. It's going to be a very long time before I come back. I could see myself stopping by for a coffee and maybe a pastry, but breakfast? Probably not. read more

Second time coming to Cornell Farm Cafe, and probably the last (except to grab some pastries to go). Hostess called the wrong 'Sarah' after waiting 50 minutes for a table, which is fine, mistakes happen, except she forgot to put us back on the waitlist which meant we had to wait even longer for a table. When we finally got seated for breakfast, we were told the kitchen was a little backed up so it would take a little longer than normal for food - we waited over an hour for our food to come, and no one came to provide us with an update until we asked for it. We stopped in for brunch around 10:00 on a Friday morning and didn't leave until almost 1:15 after waiting to be seated then waiting for our food. I will add, the Denver omelet (vegetarian with fried tofu instead of ham) was really good! We also loved the strawberry scones and chocolate chip cookies. Like I said - I would come back to grab some pastries and a coffee, but probably would not recommend this place to eat. read more

Well today we arrived to a super long line and the staff said their system was down so we had to look over the menu and order at the counter. Grab our silverware and seat ourselves. They would bring our meal to the table. All good. That really shouldn't affect how the food is prepared though. Today the hollandaise sauce for my eggs Benedict was so sour and gross. The ham was hard and the potatoes undercooked. Unfortunately we were on a timely lunch to send it back and start over. My friends sandwich was super salty too! Waited 10 minutes at the most on a weekday for a table. Great waitress who helped guide me on my entree selection. We were sat up front in the restaurant up against a wall which allowed for easy conversation. It was a very warm day and the air conditioning did not reach our table. I had the avocado toast which was amazing! Great rustic bread toasted with smashed avocado that wasn't too mushy. It still had chunks. Pickled onions and some cheese. Great iced tea. My friend had the scramble which she said is her regular dish because she loves it so much. I look forward to returning in the fall when the weather is a little cooler. Stopped by on a whim to grab food at the cafe after hearing good things, and was surprised at the long duration of wait for a table. Decided not to stay after considering, but elected to walk around and tour the establishment on my own. The cafe is in an old house that boasts lots of character. Seems like a really lovely place to have a casual brunch and catch up with a friend. I did check out the menu and it seemed to have many tasty options. I took a stroll around the nursery area and was impressed with the diversity of options. I would love to go back in the summer months and see everything in Bloom. But a very nice area to walk around where you wait for your table or after you grab a coffee to go. The indoor parts of the nursery were particularly impressive and had many lovely items that would make a special gift for a loved one. Parking was easy and the bathrooms were clean. The staff was nice, but not overly friendly. I'm hoping to go back soon in order to give it a better chance for assessing the experience. Ambiance, service and food all top notch. The views are amazing, the staff friendly. The wait times are 35-45 minutes. Just be prepared and you'll be okay. If you're in a hurry you'll be frustrated . I was visiting a friend who lives locally and she suggested this place for breakfast. Food and a nursery to boot. How perfect! Only problem was that everyone else had the same thought. The wait was about an hour for a table for 2. We ambled about the store on the property and enjoyed coffees on the cafe patio while we waited. Love that there's a to-go window on the patio that serves coffee you order inside. The drinks were great and they had a lot of options; I would love to try more! Cornell Farm Cafe is an adorable location for any gardener and plant lover to enjoy a serene brunch. We wish we had more time to have shopped around and looked at the plants. We arrived just after they opened at 0800 on a Sunday and it was already pretty busy. I can only imagine what it is like later on in the day! We were seated on the back patio but there is the option to order to-go and walk around and look at the nursery. The server was quick to take our orders but not overly friendly. We both ordered honey lattes. They serve Sleepy Monk Coffee which is one of my personal favorites. I don't tend to order sugary/sweet coffee but theirs did not have all that much flavoring in it. In the future I would be sure to order mine to be double sweet here. We also both got the Belgian waffle with a strawberry rhubarb dressing, pistachios and whipped cream. This is my new favorite breakfast spot. Screen Door held the title for many years but we now have a new champion. This is the epitome of farm to table. Everything we had was excellent. Our server Matt was top notch. If you are lucky, the bakery has fresh sugar cookies available. Those are my favorite. If I had to mark them down on anything it would be the parking. Cafe policy is customers arriving at or after 2:30 pm may eat at an available table in the dining room, but the order will only be served as To Go, in disposable containers. No real cups, plates, or utensils. We wanted an afternoon treat in a pleasant setting. There was no flexibility in the policy for us who arrived right before 2:30. Very disappointing. Fortunately, there are many coffee shops in the area that do want our business and will offer a warmer welcome with the intent of fostering repeat customers. read more

Got a side of sausage, they were very small and salty. They're $2 each and have a peppery flavor. The Belgian waffles itself was great. Fluffy and well cooked. The lavender spread was waaaay too strong. Even a small smear of it overpowered the waffle and couldn't taste the waffle anymore. Hibiscus mango iced tea was refreshing. It's not sweetened and it doesn't taste a bit like mango but it was still a good drink. Just not a hibiscus mango drink. Service was kind of slow. A tasty brunch followed by a walk through the nursery is a lovely way to start your Sunday. The only complaint would be about the service. I know they were busy, but no one came back to our table after dropping the food. I would have liked a second coffee or something. The white chocolate crumble added an interesting texture but made the dish slightly sweeter. Since it's right up the road from me I've been here a lot. Love that I see the same people behind the counter and they're always so nice. Today, my partner and I ate there for breakfast for the first time. Although it took a bit to get us served, the Tofu scramble was really tasty. The food was okay, I wouldn't say the benedict's were worth the $20 as the potatoes and hollandaise had little to no flavor, and the portion size is incredibly small. The service however, was not anywhere close to okay. Our waitress had one speed, and it wasn't fast. She casually greeted us after about 10 mins. Got drinks and food right away, our drinks were delivered by someone else and she didn't check on us again until about 30 mins later when she was bringing out the food. After the food was delivered, we did not see her again until she was wanting to clear the table and drop off the check. I watched as all the tables in her section sat ungreeted, and thrown to the wolves after ordering (dramatic, I know, but can't find another saying) The place was nice, and bright, and quiet enough to hear my family- but there are very clear things that need to be worked on. I don't know if this service is the goal, but I won't be back for non remarkable food when the service was this bad. After everything was said and done, our bill after a 20% tip was over $100 and was really only worth about half that. 4.5 stars. Great food, excellent service & interesting place to visit. Hadn't been to this cafe in a long time so we visited today for Sunday Brunch. We waited 55 minutes from check-in to being seated (for a party of 2 + a high chair). In the meanwhile we roamed the plant and gift shops. It was fun browsing the Venus Fly Traps, big beautiful Fig Trees, and seeing cool items like juvenile finger lime trees. My tribe also enjoyed the pen full of chickens outside. We sat indoors near the check-in desk and it was very noisy, both visually and literally. I much preferred the heated covered patio section in the back, and will likely request that area in the future. My family's order consisted of 2 breakfast plates, a blueberry muffin, a Bloody Mary & a grapefruit mimosa. The muffin was exceptionally good, with a thick crust of cinnamon streusel. Our food was also a cut above, everything cooked properly and plated with intention. I did find the breakfast potatoes to be sparse and diced a little too small. However everything else was delish. The buttermilk biscuit stood out to me as a highlight. It was flaky and tender, with a smear of butter and a good plop of the marionberry jam, it was a little corner of paradise. All in all, a better visit than last year. Quite a unique place where you feel immersed in nature, and get fed quality food, maybe you'll even come home with a new plant.
