Pancakes and waffles!
Alan S.

We arrived on a quiet Thursday morning half an hour after they opened. Only two tables were occupied and we had our choice. The staff was friendly and very helpful. My date got the Lemon infused waffles with marionberry syrup. It was wonderful and I had a taste to confirm. I had the 2x2x2. Eggs and sausage patty were good and the 2 pancakes were huge and a bit on the dense side. I enjoyed all and took home over half of the cakes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We enjoyed the nostalgic music from out teen years.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Quiet breakfast, great food and friendly service. Perfect.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The food is consistently fantastic! I had the grilled chicken with pesto and spinach on ciabatta bread. Choices of side salad or fries. My husband had the Six Corners omelette, which did not disappoint. Great and friendly service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A clean and comfortable place for brunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

NW scramble+ English muffin & lemon ricotta pancakes!

Y'all get to six corners ASAP and try these lemon ricotta pancakes!! It came with a side of Marionberry syrup, the contrast was delicious & not too sweet. We also got the NW scramble, but after eyeing everyone else's plate I might go with an omelette next time lol. The lunch options also looked pretty tasty; cannot wait to try some when we're back. The service was quick and friendly, I can see why they have quite a few regulars! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute little interior, classic breakfast cafe vibes, great spot for a casual sit down brekkie that does not break the bank![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Strawberry waffle - Decent! Strawberries were tasty and waffle was gooey. Chocolate latte - Also decent. Not as much taste as I'd like but it wasn't disappointing Side of sausage - Yummy! Tastes just like McDonald's Pancake - it was GOOOD! I'd like to have their bacon again next time and try the super pig next time

Smoked Salmon Benedict

Smoked Salmon Benedict: as good as any fine restaurant. Friendly service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Neighborhood charm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The waitress was attentive and welcoming. The food is delicious and food portion size are huge especially for an EATER like me I had the 6 Corners Omelette [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was nice and warm the minute I walked in and the vibe was nice with the soft music in the background[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Pancakes were amazing! Always great service and conversation...[[HIGHLIGHT]]It is interesting to see "the regulars" from the area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place is super close to us so we wanted to try it out since the prices seemed reasonable and the food looked good. However, we were both pretty disappointed in our food. I got one of the skillets with spicy sausage and the potatoes were both undercooked and overcooked.. They were hard but like burnt if that makes sense? The skillet overall was just bland and overcooked and not good. My boyfriend got the six corners fill up skillet with biscuit and gravy and he said his was honestly bad. The meat was essentially a hot dog (weird for breakfast) and super small portion. Maybe we picked the wrong dishes cause with all that being said, the other food looked good. The omelets were huge and the pancakes looked fire. I just usually always love a skillet and have never been disappointed. The one plus is the prices are super reasonable! But overall just not a good experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Oh not to mention they were recording everyone eating WTF. There was a film crew just going around and filming everyone and everything, it was strange. I know there was a consent sign to being filmed but we didn't actually think they would film us eating, made us uncomfortable[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Farmer's omelet (without gravy)

I stopped here after my first-choice restaurant had too long of a wait, and I absolutely loved it. Being the New Year, the place was packed. We waited a few minutes to be seated, and it took a while for our orders to be taken. Since they were clearly swamped, I didn't mind the wait. Our food arrived shortly after. Overall, we sat, ordered, ate, and left all within the hour. I ordered the Farmer's Omelet (sausage, bacon, cheese, mushroom, onion, without gravy). It came with a side of pancakes. My partner got the classic breakfast (eggs, bacon/sausage, hash browns, and toast). This was probably the best omelet I've ever had. There wasn't too much egg, and the ingredients inside were cooked well. We also got lattes (not pictured) that were okay, but I wouldn't order again. Overall, I enjoyed the ambiance and food. It's a cute little place.

Ask the Community - Six Corners Cafe

Do they serve alcohol?

No. Although we are contemplating getting a alcohol servers permit, but that may be a few years. And alcohol is expensive, and we already kind of have to budget.

Do they have video lottery?

Not that I saw anywhere inside.

Are there any other vegan options here other than fruit and oatmeal without the milk?

Yes, we do have hash browns, salad and occasionally soups with vegetable broth or stock.

We decided on outdoor patio seating since the weather was nice & it was generally quieter outside. We were people watching for a bit and noticed that our fellow restaurant goers were waiting for quite a bit, but we weren't in a hurry, so it was fine. When our waiter eventually tended to us, he was incredibly friendly & apologetic, owning up to the delay being on him, but we were cool with it -poor guy was working a double shift. We started off with deep-fried okra, I ordered the fried chicken meal, & hubby ordered the burger. I got to pick the chicken pieces I wanted, so I went with 2 thighs, thinking they'd be smaller pieces, so I could maybe finish my meal. I opted for collard greens as well. The food came relatively quickly and was super-fresh. The fried okra bits were piping hot down to the last bite. They went well with the spicy aioli. We hung onto the aioli so hubby could dip his fries. My meal was so good. The chicken was incredibly tender and flavorful. The batter was just perfect and crisp. Mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy. Gravy was rich and well-seasoned. Collard greens were so tasty. The balance of textures was just perfection. I ended up having to pack up a piece of chicken because it was so much food, but I enjoyed every bite I was able to take of my meal. I appreciated their welcoming vibe & the beautiful pride balloon arch inside the restaurant. I appreciated the friendly service. I appreciated the thoughtfully and expertly made food. It was a perfect way to end my culinary experience for this Portland visit.

But when our server was with us, they were very nice and patient with my questions and requests. It's a bit loud when the place is on the full side, making it difficult to have a conversation. I wouldn't bring my girlfriend who is hard of hearing, at least with a group. I'd be curious to try more of the menu. I was very much not wowed by the breakfast. The beverages were however very nice, and I recently had the cobbler dessert and it looked amazing and tasted better. We had the coffee (Extracto, love.), I had a really good hef and my mother a very well balanced Bellini that I was very pleasantly surprised with trying. From what I saw, the lunch sounds very good and I'd be more apt to recommend folks give that a shot if they happened to be going there too. I'm not sure if I'd recommend as a must go stop. Vibe wise, the ambience is overall really nice. I think having rolled flatware, even with just upgraded napkins, would better complete the aesthetic you initially see and feel. This would also connect with the price point of the food and quality of the beverages. As a fellow server, on that note I would expect more consistent stronger visual appearance standards with servers. (Sorry guys! But some of you looked great!) Overall, I'd definitely join a friend for coffee and lunch over there in the future. Just wouldn't be my top pick for a celebratory brunch or intimate dinner with a date or friends and fam.

We came back promptly since phone never rang but they moved us over to the seated line. Upon seating their complimentary beignets were super good. I also thought their corned beef hash was a must order. I ordered their biscuit and gravy and also their poutine which had the same identical sauce/gravy. (I would probably skip these two dishes tho) One of my friends had the apple frittwhich which is a play on sweet and salty. It tasted fine but I was expecting more. I really dig how superb the service was here considering how many tables this place had. I also wanted to applaud the manager on duty that morning to offer a homeless man coffee / food / emergency services when he was saying his head hurts. She handled it professionally and ironically we saw that same homeless man an hour later walking down the same street. (He never asked for any of the services also) Overall, we had an enjoyable breakfast in a bustling area closest to downtown. Reasonable prices and terrific service makes this a spot i would come back in a heartbeat.

Between the genuinely friendly hospitality and the flavor combinations, this spot hits it out of the park and is a must for sandwich lovers. Griddled Mortadella (5/5): An incredibly delicious sandwich that perfectly balances rich, salty, and savory flavors. It comes loaded with a generous portion of grilled mortadella and melted provolone cheese, perfectly moistened with a tangy mustard aioli. The fresh lettuce and bell peppers added a satisfying crunch to every bite. Chefwich - K-Town Steak Sandwich (5/5): A limited-time creation packed into a banh mi roll. It had a generous portion of perfectly tender and sweet bulgogi steak that pairs with their melted jack cheese. The gochujang mayo sauce had a subtle and sweet heat, while the fresh kimchi added crunch and slight acidity to balance the rich meat. Elote Tater Tots (5/5): Definitely a creative side dish. The tots were perfectly fried and topped elote style with cotija cheese, pairing well with the smoky chipotle mayo on the side. Logistics Tip: Street parking is surprisingly easy to find in the surrounding area, even on a busy weekend evening. The restaurant has a spacious layout with plenty of seating options both inside and outside.
