Me and my running club tried this place out on a Saturday morning, and it did not disappoint! I did not take a picture of my coffee but I tried the iced cafe bom-bon with oat milk, delicious! I would have liked an extra shot of espresso because it was a bit more milky than my personal preference. Overall a good coffee drink! The pan de bono was delicious , cheesy and soft! The pasetelitos de guava were amazing. I wanted to try their empanadas but only on the night menu - will have to come back for those. Service was quick! Sugar-enhanced espressos and carefully crafted pastries, I understand why this is another reco by my friend Dennis. FOOD Cafecito ($3) is a foamy Cuban espresso mixed with sugar, can't go wrong with this. Choco Bombón ($6.25 for 16oz) is similar to a Mocha, but I won't bastardize it, since they use condensed milk for a rich flavor and a texture that makes you dream of being in Cuba right before the Revolución in 1954. Make some space for Tequeños (2 for $4), a Venezuelan cheese stick covered in white dough comes with a couple of dipping sauces: Cilantro and something quite similar to Thousand Islands, although it doesn't have a name. We also tried the Guava and Cheese, and the Beef Pastelitos, which show how much love they put into ensuring that the flaky crust is crispy and buttery enough to make you go visit Miami. SERVICE Could be much better: A smile when interacting, or greeting the customer waiting at the register while they're busy with something else, or calling the order out loud could help. AMBIANCE Only 17 seats and only a couple with outlets for computers. The small and carefully designed Florida style is conducive for intimate conversations. This place reminds me of Porto's. It's small with limited seatings but super cute. We had pastelito (beef, guava) and beef papa rellena. My fav were beef pastelito and guava. This place has a very limited selection of pastries and coffee choices. I ordered the cold brew and it was unsweetened for you to add the sweetness to your liking. The coffee itself had a different taste and needed cream or something else I couldn't put my finger on. The pastries I ordered were tasty. Marionberry with cheese and one with Nutella inside. They were out of the special of the month that sounded tasty. I'll come back to try something else sometime. read more

This Cuban coffee shop has been on my radar so I'm glad we finally got the opportunity to go! We came here on a weekday morning and it was quiet and pretty chill. We got a couple of Pastelitos (Beef and the Guava and Cheese) and a Cafe Con Leche. The pastelitos were crispy on the outside and packed with filling. I really liked the tangy sauce that came with the Beef Pastelito. The Guava and Cheese Pastelito was decently large and so delicious, I love the flavor combination of guava and cream cheese. The coffee was huge and quite strong but smooth, surprisingly not too sweet either. Normally it's difficult for me to finish my coffees especially for a larger size but I had no problem finishing this cup. Not huge on coffee shops myself, but my wife loves them. This area has a ton of great spots and now you can add La Floridita to the list. Truly no complaints here. Although parking around here is notoriously bad during peak hours. The cafe is a little short on seating, so I can imagine it getting pretty crowded if things get busy. There was only one staff when we were there but she was amazing. We weren't too sure on several of the pastries and she really helped us on finding what we wanted. I had the ham corquetas and the chicken papa rellena both of which were fantastic. The breading is surprisingly light and pairs wonderfully with the 2 sauces they provide. Coming from Malaysia, the Chicken Rellena reminded me of a curry puff which has a different type of breading but a similar filling of spiced chicken and potatoes. read more

Finally got a chance to visit after remembering La Floridita from the Beaverton Farmers Market years ago! A well decorated space with music and amazing treats! The owner was sweet to suggest making something fresh as I asked about a specific item, but as I came in close to close I got something else. Got a guava pastelito and marionberry cheese pastelito to go, it was warmed up for me. The balance of pastry to filling was a good ratio and just the right amount of flaky! La Floridita's all about bringing Miami sunshine to the Pacific Northwest. They serve pastelitos, croquetas, cafecitos, and more. They used to be a stand at the farmers market, and they recently opened this brick and mortar in the heart of Beaverton. For a new business with such trendy decor, I thought the prices were very reasonable ($2.50-5.50 per item!!). It's fun to get a couple of these finger food snacks, and a coffee, and enjoy the bright colors in the store. Love their lil sample drinks. A new Latin American coffee shop in downtown Beaverton with Floridian air. It'd very exciting and refreshing to visit coffee shops with a strong personality like this one. The store itself is very charming and modern. They got quite a few tables for dining in. When you walk in, you'll be greated with their pastry case showing off a variety of Cuban pastries (Pastelito etc.), as well as the scent of their strong coffee. We got the Cortado and Cafe Bonbom. Both were strong and delicious. I do like non-black coffee that can hold their own. The Cortado was smooth and easy to drink. The Cafe Bonbom had a unique sweetness from the condensed milk but still got the creamy foam top; both were winners. We also got the Chicken Papa Rellena and Chese & Guava Pastelito to accompany our coffee and they're amazing! Warm and flavorful. The Rellena packed a lot of chicken inside. The outside was nice and crunchy; a great savory option. The Pastelito was also a treat. The pastry was nice and flaky. The guava filling was sweet but worked amazingly in the pastry. Good ratio of cheese to guava to pastry as well. I've never had the real deal from Cuba or Miami, but this one was so yummy to me. The papa rellana was cooked perfectly and nicely flavored. The sauces were the perfect addition, and green was my fav. Also fun PSA: they give fresh juice samples at the counter too! Two options: passion fruit and soursop. Soo good.
