Loro Coffee is one of my favorite places to treat myself every once in a while. I always order the bacon and arugula egg sandwich, and it never disappoints. It's packed with savory flavor, and the egg has an incredibly light, cloud-like texture that pairs perfectly with the bacon, peppery arugula, and the rest of the ingredients. It's one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. Their lattes are just as impressive. I've tried both the ube coconut latte and the black sesame latte, each made with plant-based milk instead of regular milk. The ube coconut latte was smooth, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. The black sesame latte, however, was the standout for me. It had a rich, nutty flavor and is hands-down my favorite of the two. I don't believe it's a regular menu item, so if you happen to see it, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. Loro is on the pricier side, which is why I don't visit as often as I'd like, but I genuinely think it's worth it. The quality of the food and drinks makes it feel like a special treat. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the parking. The café is tucked between apartments and other retail spaces, so street parking is your only option. I've had to circle the block several times before finding a spot, making it less convenient if you're driving. Parking aside, this is a charming neighborhood coffee shop that consistently serves flavorful food and thoughtfully crafted drinks. If you're looking to treat yourself to an exceptional breakfast sandwich and a beautifully made latte, Loro Coffee is well worth the visit. read more

I absolutely loved my miso butterscotch latte. I drove out of my way to try it and it was worth it - sweet with a touch of savory on your lips. I licked my lips between every sip. The barista was a breath of fresh air. So friendly and she helped me choose a breakfast sandwich on a perfect croissant that did not disappoint. The space is OK, however it shares a space with a pizza shop so the aroma of coffee is overwhelmed by pizza which is not the vibe I appreciate when I want to chill at a coffee shop. Needed more chai but not so much clove. I appreciated the acidity and the presence of multiple flavors. I also liked the concept but didn't think it was all that. I wonder what it would be like with a hint of sweetener. FOCACCIA: 3/10 the flavors just didn't come together. The concept of having a roasted garlic, caramelized onion and mushroom breakfast focaccia was awesome. The execution just wasn't there. Environment: Loro shares the same space as another pizza place. It was high ceiling and quite simple. There's outdoor seating too on when the weather gets nice! Staff: I told her it was my very first time. She helped me with some suggestions on the types of coffee they had for their iced latte. Both of the coffee beans were Portland local brands. However, when I ordered, I wasn't sure about the sizes and I the lady didn't ask. Normally cashiers would ask, especially I said that it was my first time. She picked the largest and expensive size. I paid for my friend's too and so I didn't look at the price receipt until we got our drinks (when I saw the total cost I was a bit surprised). So yes, I could've double checked but also, the service could be better by asking. Coffee: I ordered the iced cafe late. It was okay. Nothing outstanding. I'm glad that it was not sour. The largest size didn't seem very big, it felt like 12 oz so I can't imagine the smaller sized options. I'm glad that I still dropped by and tried something new. read more

Such a cute café! They have an incredible selection of house-made coffee options, and all their syrups are made in-house, which makes a big difference. I also love that they use SOUL Chai, it's one of my favorites! It has the perfect balance of spice and smoothness. I ordered the Honeynut Chai, and it was just right, not too sweet or too strong, perfectly balanced. The barista was super friendly and patient while I was deciding, and even shared some helpful info about their coffee since it was my first visit. As soon as I saw that Loro had a seasonal miso butterscotch flavor, I knew I had a good excuse to make the trip. And oh my god... it was even better than I could have imagined. The savory umami flavor of the miso complimented the sweet rich butterscotch SO well. I cannot recommend it enough. The prices are a bit steep for the sizes, but it's worth it. Especially considering it looked like all of their syrups were made in house. The vibe of the shop was very industrial with plenty of seating. It also shares a space with Ranch, so it was fun to get the waft of that pizza smell when I walked in the door. Great drinks, great service, 5/5. read more

Loro is a coffee shop that is connected to Ranch Pizza (just the next counter over). Both establishments have a shared seating area so there's plenty of seating. It doesn't give the usual cozy coffee shop vibe but it's more of an industrial quirky vibe with the decor and interior. The service was great because the barista was was welcoming and friendly when taking my order. I ordered one of their special drinks, the Gingerbread Latte. The coffee was good but I didn't taste much gingerbread flavor in it. I also got a croissant which was deliciously buttery and flaky. This place has quickly become my go-to coffee shop in Beaverton. The baristas are always very quick and there isn't usually much of a line. I was a little confused the first time, but the coffee shop shares a space with Ranch Pizza. The espresso is really good and they serve beans from both Push X Pull and Proud Mary roasters. They also offer decaf! I tend to get the Push X Pull because the current Proud Mary offering is a little too wild for my daily drink. In addition to coffee, they have a few pastries and some cute merch (like the MiiR reusable tumblers/mugs). I can't speak on the sweet pastries, but the breakfast focaccia is awesome! I highly recommend getting it if it's available. Overall, a really good spot and always friendly service. read more

The color popping interior got me intrigued to check out this new Beaverton coffee shop. It's giving playful, kitschy, hip, which I'm a sucker for. Their drink menu is pretty basic so you won't find super interesting and unique coffee drinks here. I got a matcha latte with honey and it was pretty good. I think I'll order a coffee latte next time since they serve local Proud Mary and PushxPull coffee. The space is also shared with Ranch Pizza so there's some food options other than pastries. There's wifi and power outlets too which could be great for remote working. What makes Loro in Beaverton my favorite place for a latte? Her name is Jenna and she is one of the barista's. Jenna is so kind, sweet, patient and ready to offer suggestions at any time. She has turned me onto some of my favorites. The coffee and matcha are outstanding. They have a lot of unusual combinations that are delicious. There are a lot of great coffee spots in Beaverton. However, Jenna works at Loro. I am not a friend or relative of Jenna's, but she remembers my name, my favorite drink and I watch her make everyone feel welcome. Whoever the manager is at that location...you need to give that girl a raise! She makes repeat customers of all of us. I even spoke to an employee of Ranch Pizza about her and they agreed. We enjoyed a 1/2 sweet mocha and a matcha with shots and one of their big cookies (lol only got a matcha pic). The quality of the beverages and the cookie was very good. The matcha was so strong that you unfortunately barely could taste the orange cardamom part. Over all, it was still a great drink! The latter was naturally processed (vs washed); get this if you enjoy fruit notes with your coffee. My cortado was delicious and I enjoyed it very much. I'd seen Loro under construction for several months and was excited for it to open. They have not disappointed. The space is modern, airy, and inviting. The baristas at Loro have been friendly and make great drinks. Loro has some of the best coffee in Beaverton. The Push x Pull roasts are flavorful, particularly the single origin roasts. For less espresso-forward flavors, their syrups are balanced and not overpowering. We've enjoyed the seasonal drinks as well, the gingerbread latte is rich and delicious. The pastries by Dos Hermanos are delightful, the scone is a favorite of ours. A great addition to the roster of coffee shops in the area, we're fast becoming regulars! read more
