I've passed this coffee shop many times since I am frequently in the area. I had friends meeting here and invited me to join. The coffee shop didn't have a warm, inviting atmosphere. My friends were seated at a small round table, and I asked what they were having. Their drinks sounded unique and delicious. I was told there was a ube matcha latte. I got that with soy. There's a 75¢ upcharge for dairy alternative. I asked if there was a vegan baked good, and I was told that there was a banana bread. After he put it on a plate, I saw a Petunia baked good. I informed him for future reference if someone inquired for vegan item, he would know. The banana bread was ok, I could only eat half, I shared the rest with friends. My ube matcha was just ok. I think I would have liked one of the drinks my friends had better. The seats aren't very comfortable. I might come back to try one of the interesting flavors in the future. Coming here is definitely a splurge for us since we mainly wanted to try the sarsaparilla anise latte and the smoky fig latte. The shop is located in the middle of the Cedar Hills strip mall, but it does have a cool splash pad for kids in the summer along with some outdoor seating, which is a nice touch for families. They offer a lovely assortment of pastries, including a couple of vegan options, which I appreciated. I also like that they carry creamer alternatives such as oat, almond, and soy, although it does cost extra -- which is what we ended up getting. The biggest downside is the price. The specialty coffees feel steep for the size you receive. Two medium drinks ended up costing about the same as lunch for a people, so this isn't somewhere I'd visit regularly -- more of an occasional treat. Ambience-wise, I didn't find it cozy. The interior feels very industrial with round tables, thin bench cushions, and hard backless stools. It can get noisy, although we were still able to hold a conversation with our group of four without too much trouble. As for the drinks themselves, they were good and certainly unique. The anise latte had a mild bitterness while the smoky fig latte carried a noticeable smokiness. Neither flavor was overwhelming, but they also didn't wow me. It was a good cup of coffee -- just not a great one. They served everything in disposable cups even though we were dining in, and I wish they offered actual ceramic mugs by default since that really adds to the experience and feels more eco-friendly. I did notice a couple of iced drinks in glass cups, so maybe you have to request it. Overall, I'm glad we tried it, but between the pricing and the lack of comfort inside, there are probably better options out there if you're looking for ambience and a place to linger. You know whats all the rage these days ? Over priced coffee and Portland is excelling on that front. I wanted something warm while I was in the area and Good Coffee seemed convenient. The coffee shop is aesthetically pleasing with a minimalist woodsy vibe. Plants and huge windows are what take centre stage. Just enough seating but definitely no comfortable options . Maybe they don't want people hanging out too much and if the seating doesn't do it the staff will ..sharp at 3:50 the barista came and told me that I am welcome to sit outside to finish my drink because they close at 4.Sure ,it only seems fair that I finish my over priced drink outside in the cold rainy patio. (3.5 stars) During my first visit, I ordered an Iced Hazelnut Caramel Latte (3 stars). Both flavors were so subtle that it tasted like a lightly sweetened latte, and it was neither distinctly hazelnut or caramel. I liked the taste of the coffee. The best part was the caramel candy that was given with the latte. My husband ordered an Iced Mocha (3.5 stars) with oat milk, which also had a milder chocolate flavor. I got a Cold Brew (4 stars) and added splash of half and half during my next visit. It was just what I wanted that truly highlighted the coffee flavor without the extra cost of added flavors. The service (4 stars) was quick with some chatty baristas. Half of the tables were taken by other fellow coffee lovers with or without a laptop. I heard this place was good (lol) and was craving a drink. The shop is situated in the middle of the Cedar Hills shopping center. I walked in to a contemporary, greenery cafe with vines hung up around the walls. There were quite a bit of people inside either chatting with others or working. I waited in line for a bit to be attended to. There's a pastry shelf and they offer seasonal drinks. I did not see much pastries, this was around 2pm. The barista was polite and helpful. I ordered a matcha lavender latte, iced. They have 3 different size options and I chose the 12. I took a look around while I waited. They have mugs, and coffee grounds/tea for sale. My husband and I visited just before closing on a rainy Wednesday afternoon. The vibe was very quiet, with several solo customers/individuals in the seating area doing work. We were greeted by welcoming staff upon entering and we decided to order off of the seasonal drink menu. I had the Matcha Lavender Latte which was really good, slightly heavier in flavor on the lavender than the matcha (which I loved). Oh and I also got a slice of the vegan banana bread which was yummy. i'm surprised to see Good Coffee isn't getting much love in their reviews. Good Coffee is one of my top favorite spots to get coffee in Beaverton, and every time i go, the shop is always overflowing with people. they set a great atmosphere with cool music and friendly baristas. they always have a great and unique selection of seasonal flavors (which are all house made, if i remember right), and they have all your standard flavors as well. i usually get a cafe au lait or a latte. i don't think i've ever had a bad coffee here :) don't skip out on the pastries, which include vegan banana bread from Nuvrei. my only complaint is, as others have noted, they are more expensive than other local coffee places. read more

decided to finally give good coffee another shot and i was disappointed.. its possible that i didnt read the vibes right but the employee who took my order seemed like she really did not want to be here and seemed annoyed the whole time i was ordering and asking questions, it was offsetting.. i got the spiced pumpkin latte and it tasted so watered down and flavorless, i asked to get another drink and a different employee was more than happy to help me with it without extra charges. since both times i've tried the coffee here and was disappointed both times, i asked the employee for her recommendation for a tea. i got a sweetened iced keemun hao ya, essentially a black tea. it was lightly sweetened, which i love for a tea. however, the tea itself also tasted watered down.. the atmosphere and layout of the place is still nice to study, with outlets available and plenty of seating options. i can say with certainty i wont be returning for their drinks as it has been consistently disappointing and overpriced for what you are receiving... read more

With a welcoming, spacious and modern aesthetic, I could see myself chilling at Good Coffee for hours. The people behind the counter were patient and warm. They busted out our orders in no time at all. They have an intriguing set of flavors on their seasonal menu, and I'm happy to report they're not gimmicks! The "Horchata Latte" in particular was subtle on the cinnamon and balanced with its sweetness and coffee ratio. I enjoyed a simple black coffee as well. I liked they put up where they source their beans from and what flavors to expect. I'm curious to see if this rotates as well! The prices here are fair, even better priced than most coffee shops. It's been a while since I've been to a Good Coffee but I remember them having a very clean, simple aesthetic and seasonal speciality drinks along with the standard coffee menu. Most of the tables here were seated with patrons. The barista was friendly when taking our order. I like to order from the speciality menu so I ordered the Smoked Fig Latte with All Spice. One barista is able to make the lattes hot without burning the coffee, otherwise it's either scalding burnt coffee or barely warm. I gave up on this place a long time ago but had a good experience last week. The lady taking my order listened carefully and got it. My latte was hot, not EXTRA HOT, just hot normal. So, I gave it another try today but it was a different barista and the latte was undrinkable - scalding and burnt taste, aka gross. Ended up throwing it out. What a waste! Coffee is not cheap. So happy this is here! Another jewel in the gustatory crown that is Cedar Hills Crossing! Dropped in during lunch and treated myself to a big iced latte. SO GOOD. I'm so glad they opened up a Cedar Hills location! I used to go to the one in Slabtown which was a bit of a drive from Beaverton. I'm picky with espresso and theirs is top notch in terms of the flavor and boldness that I look for. The matcha lavender latte is delicious; a perfect balance of both flavors, neither of which are overpowering. The place is definitely popular which is a good sign. I came in around 11am on a Friday and it was packed. They have plenty of seating, natural light, good music, and all the good bites that a coffee shop should have. I was sooo excited to see that Good Coffee has opened a location in Beaverton. The shop is very clean, with lots of seating inside and out. The employees were friendly too. I ordered a salted caramel latte, and my husband ordered the smoked fig latte. To eat we got their seasonal sweet scone and the banana loaf. (Side note- I will give points because the employee taking our order made sure it was okay that the loaf had walnuts. No other coffee shop has done that, and I thought that was really nice of her!) Sadly the coffee was underwhelming. I didn't really get any salted caramel flavor in my latte, but my husband's smoked fig latte had lots of flavor! The scone was pretty dry and boring. The banana loaf was a pleasant surprise though. It was moist, delicious, and full of flavor! I'm honestly surprised that i'm feeling disappointed in Good Coffee. It seems a little overhyped. The prices of the coffee and pastries are pretty high, and for the quality I don't think it's worth it. I've had better coffee and pastries at other coffee shops in the area and for a lower price too. My FAVORITE coffee has come to the burbs!! Can't tell you how obsessed I am with this place. While we're there we usually get the seasonal coffee drink (horchata latte, cardamom, etc), and some beans to take home. I really like the Ethiopian blend they have. The pastries are really good, my favorite being the black sesame loaf. The space is stunning and the folks are down to earth. Maybe I made an impression with all my fawning and gawking, but they remembered me (and my doggo) after just one visit. This has now become a weekend staple! I'm aware not everyone is a fan of Starbucks, but when I go to a place like this, I'm reminded there's worse places than Starbucks. I spent $7.25 for a 12oz oatmilk vanilla latte. Like most boutique coffee shops, the coffee is mediocre. They all say they use specially sourced beans and better barista techniques, but it rarely translates to the coffee itself. Thankfully the staff were very friendly, as the boutique places usually aren't. However, the coffee tasted like sweetened oatmilk. At $7.25, I can at least get mediocre coffee at Starbucks for less money. It is very cute inside though. I will give them that! read more
