On the way to Browns Camp for trail riding. Pulled in downtown forest grove for some food. Spotted Camila's Breakfast Cafe. Needed to give this a try as this may be a place to keep at the top of my list when in the area. The place is in one of the old downtown buildings. Very clean and a bit rugged. Comfortable chairs around the tables I ordered the steak and eggs and country potatoes. It's a thin rare ribeye, Three over easy eggs, and ask them placed over the potatoes so the yolks leak all over when you poke them. Every thing was great. Service was spot on. It was almost a full house with no two tops left. So they gave me a big table. Only been open for two weeks so they are in the initial stages business adjusting process, facilities, decor and things. Hard pass. Mediocre at best. No meal check after initial delivery of food. No drink refills. No table check. Had to ask for hot sauce. Water glasses remained empty the entire time. Portions were less than every other diners and at a lower price point or same. The price in the menu is ever so slightly increased at check out..... so BEWARE of that as well. It's not noticeable unless you pay attention. Only small amounts. And no overt advertising about an increased price if using a card...... which the fee businesses pay is a tax deduction for the business owner anyway. Similar to some other places it's a sneaky grab.... So no I don't recommend. And won't be back. If anyone asks... PAUSE. read more

We have eaten their several times and always received excellent service.And the food has always been exactly what we ordered. Really appreciate the gluten-free bread.Since our family has food allergies, they will also cook your food in oil instead of butter. In case you have a dairy allergy, which we do. The only thing we would love is for them to get real dairy, free coffee Creamer. Silk, half-and-half or planet oat creamer is wonderful. read more

What an excellent new breakfast spot in forest grove! We had the chorizo omelet and the huevos rancheros and both were amazing! The chorizo was so flavorful! They're new so please be patient. Staff is wonderful, coffee is amazing. read more

Decent food! Could've used more salt and seasoning. Eggs were a little undercooked I asked for over medium and got closer to over easy which I'm used to so I am not upset. The service was great our server was very kind. Very cute place, nice and spacious. I wish they were open a bit later. Overall good place to get breakfast/brunch! read more

I went here a couple of times when they were in vernonia, and fell in love with their chorizo breakfast burrito. I was so bummed when they closed down, but so glad they opened in Forest Grove, a little closer to me. The burrito was amazing, and I really like the new restaurant. They were super busy, but I was in and out of there pretty quickly. I highly recommend. read more

A great fit for the town. There are many fast food chains that offer a mediocre breakfast. At Camila's you will get a mix of American and Mexican offerings done right. They are also open before many other non-fast food chains. So you can get that good meal in if you are that early riser. I recommend the huevos ranchero with chorizo or the many gluten free breakfast options. Be prepared for a warm smile, good service and food. read more

Ordered breakfast on a delivery service. Food was DELISH! Arrived hot, condiments like whip cream and chocolate for the berry crepes were seperate so not all melted by warm food. The berry crepes were so good. Lots of berries, not just a bunch of strawberries and few others, and super crisp hash browns. 100% going to have to go in person read more

First time in Forest Grove and found out that this new breakfast cafe opened recently. The staff were so friendly. Very cozy on the inside, granted when I was there it was in the late afternoon on a Thursday and it wasn't very crowded. The breakfast sandwich I ordered was amazing. Food presentation was good and service was fast, however, breakfast was just OK. We ordered huevos rancheros, pancakes, eggs, hashbrowns and bacon. The bacon was excellent, eggs were good, but not cooked to order preference. The huevos rancheros didn't have any meat and they still put the Cotija cheese on it when it was asked to be omitted. Hashbrowns had an odd taste from an oil I didn't recognize. Pancakes were good... Our server was in training, so all of this has to be taken into account. I also know that they are a new restaurant. We will give them another shot, but overall, I would say just so so... Prices were fair. read more

This is the breakfast place Forest Grove has been needing! The food is very good and comes out fast. The staff is great! Highly recommend.

I so wanted to like this place. This town has so few breakfast options, so when we went in a month after opening we had high hopes. The place looks as if it had been abandoned by the previous tenants, there was a mishmash of tables and chairs, the floors were not clean, especially if you look at the area by the door, there was a small section of wall with some fresh paint but the rest of the place looked unkept. Okay, they are still working on things, we thought. I got Avocado toast with roasted tomatoes and my friend had the Huevos Ranchero. The waitress seemed very new, took a long while to notice we wanted to order and was very nice but seemed confused. My food arrived with a very small amount of cottage potatoes and what looked like pre-toasted toast, flattened and gummy when eaten. The tomato spread seemed ice cold on the bread, as if spread out of the refrigerator, which made the toast worst and the eggs on top of the tomatoes, cold. (Nice avocado though) The coffee was terrible and had grounds floating in it and my friend said the Huevos Ranchero was okay but the beans under cooked and it had an odd flavor. I ended up with food poisoning the rest of the day, terrible stomach pains and since it was the only thing I ate that day, I'm 100% sure it was the meal from this restaurant. This place is amazing! I'm in love with their sausage gravy and chicken fried steak. Portions are big (as seniors we usually have to split a breakfast) and Elea, who seems to work every day there to wait tables, is fun once you get to know her (she says she'll help my husband with learning his numbers in Spanish ). read more

We've eaten there twice, once early on a Friday and Sunday a week later during the mid-morning rush. Both times, our meals were excellent. There was a longer wait for our food on the Sunday, but that's understandable, the place was packed. It's now our favorite spot for breakfast/brunch whenever we're in the Grove. read more
