Came in while waiting for an appointment. The staff and service are top notch with a fun ambiance...great music playing. I had a wonderful cider with Cajun Tots. Will definitely be back!!

    Tomato basil Sandwich.

It was a nice meal with my folks. I had the Tomato basil mozzarella sandwich which definitely needed some kind of vinaigrette or acid to kind of tie the sandwich together. The soup of the day was chicken chili and it was delicious. I saw they have a Reuben on the menu so I definitely will be back to try that out. Great service my folks can be kinda difficult sometimes so the waitress maintained her composure well.

Fantastic little joint in forrest grove..... banging burger, fantastic chicken brie sandwich, and a great pastrami phillie sandwich. Also had the bbq wings awsome but would be better if the wings were larger but hey all over goodness!

Great food and huge burgers. Actually get served by the cook at times, nice touch. Not a lot of room so pick your dining time carefully.

    Bunless A-Rok Burger with Chips

Such a good little find in Forest Grove! Ordered a bunless burger and it was amazing! Cooked just the way we asked, the house sauce is so delicious and the meal was reasonably priced. Try the A-Rok burger... yummm!

Soooooo Happy I found this beer again. OMG

Cozy comfort food and great staff. Wraps and burgers that are some of the best on the Westside. Definitely a go to place in the FG!

On a recent trip to Pacific City, we found ourselves returning to Pelican Brewing Company more than…read moreonce--and that says everything. While there aren't a huge number of dining options in town, we never felt like we were settling. In fact, we looked forward to coming back each time. If you're a beer lover, you'll be in heaven. Their selection is extensive, with everything from crisp pilsners to rich stouts, making it easy to find something that suits your taste. The location is simply unbeatable. Nearly every table offers a view of the Pacific Ocean, and if you're lucky enough to grab a seat on the patio (my favorite spot), you're practically sitting on the beach. Watching the waves roll in while enjoying a meal is hard to top. Despite being incredibly busy, every server we had was friendly, attentive, and worked incredibly hard. The only minor downside was that the restaurant appeared to be a little understaffed. There were times when empty tables were visible, yet the wait was still 20-30 minutes. Honestly, though, we didn't mind. Any excuse to sit outside, people-watch, or simply stare out at the ocean is time well spent. The food was consistently excellent throughout our visits. We sampled the clam chowder, fish and chips, Backyard BBQ burger, cheeseburger, oyster shooters (both the Mignonette and Spicy Mary), and the cheese curds. My favorites were easily the clam chowder and the fish and chips--both were outstanding and exactly what you hope for when dining on the Oregon Coast. Even if beer isn't your thing, the cocktail menu is worth exploring. I ordered the Tsunami Warning, a refreshing blend of rum, pineapple and lime juices, ginger beer, and Pelican's Tsunami Stout. It's definitely a unique cocktail that won't be for everyone, but I'm glad I gave it a try. My biggest regret? Never saving room for dessert. Every time I saw one pass by our table, it looked incredible, but I was always too full to order one. That's just one more reason to come back. If you're visiting Pacific City, I highly recommend stopping by the original Pelican Brewing Company. Between the incredible oceanfront setting, excellent food and drinks, and welcoming service, it's a place that's easy to return to again and again.

Came to pick up our expensive "to go" order. Could not find a parking spot anywhere. They have a…read morepick up window but it is not open. So we had to go in. There is no dedicated parking for pick up orders. The order was more than what is on the "take out" menu from their website. When I asked about the price increase she said it was a "surcharge." (Had a bit of attitude when I asked about it as well. I just paid it cause I didn't want to argue when there was a line of people.) There is NO MENTION of a take out "surcharge" and it shows up on the receipt as "tax." There is no state tax in Oregon or a city tax in Pacific City. The food was not a good value for the money. Lettuce wrapped burger was wrapped with brown lettuce. The coleslaw was like mayo soup. I will say the fish in the fish and chips were good and the ranch was good but that was it. There is a lot of room for improvement. Starting in the parking lot!

It's not big...less than a dozen tables inside, there is outdoor seating, and when the weather is nice I bet it's a great place to be on a warm summer evening. Right on the water, with views of the boats. Ilwaco itself is a bit of a dungy town, but this place offers some delicious dishes, and the ambience is cozy, & romantic. We were immediately seated, as we were the only ones at the restaurant on this cold, wet PNW day. We both ordered a cup of their crab bisque. Delicious. It really hit the spot, and warmed up our cold bones. What I really liked about it was it wasn't too salty! Both my husband and I added a bit of salt and that elevated the flavor, but I liked that the chef didn't over salt it, and gave me the choice of how much sodium I wanted to add. My husband wished he had ordered a bowl. It is delightful, flavorful and a decent amount of crab in it, as well. (I enjoyed it so much, I forgot to take a picture of it!!) The chef really knows his stuff and has a great flavor profile on the menu. My husband ordered the Helm Burger with tots. He gave them two thumbs up. The burger patty looked fresh homemade, as opposed to frozen bought at Costco. It was a decent size, & thick and juicy. With the addition of bacon to it, he was greatly satisfied. I ordered the Deckhand. Let me tell you, this was a delicious sandwich! The pork is tender and juicy, the sauce is sweet but not overly so. The picked added a wonderful crispy texture along with the sweetness of the caramelized onions....it was a tastebud explosion. So good. And so filling. I had to take 1/2 home and was a bit annoyed when I found my husband ate it the next day for lunch! I guess that just means I'll have to go back sooner than later to order it again. I'd like to also mention that the tater tots were perfectly fried and crispy! The waitress from friendly and attentive and the chef was sweet and so pleased with our compliments. Don't wait a moment longer. Get yourself to Ilwaco and check this gem of a place out! You won't be disappointed.
