    crab bisque

We decided to drop by for an early dinner this last weekend (10/24) - getting there a little after 4pm we were first in the dining room. Very prompt friendly service, glasses of ice water (no straws - AWESOME), and wow, what a great little menu! Something for everyone. Listen closely to the fresh catch of the day, and you can order that fish with many dishes. I started with a bowl of the crab bisque, served with a side of tasty garlic bread. OMG this was the best! Next time I go in I'm a gonna bust into the kitchen and demand the recipe. I had the ling cod grilled, served on the 'big salad'- the Waterline Cobb - oh what a tasty surprise - fresh avocado, grilled asparagus, and super-fresh greeens with a tasty bleu cheese dressing. I inhaled it all. My wife and son loved their entrees (fish and chips, and fork&knife melt). Great job on the 'green rating' just a couple of minor single-use plastics (those wretched plastic cups were used for the dressing) - would love to see those be swapped for the metal ones. Great atmosphere, and the sole waitress kept up with everything as the restaurant filled up, great service. Reasonable prices. Oh yeah, get the Rose Lemonade. Mmm hmm. Highly recommend, will be back. Oh, and I am the one that added this place to yelp, prior to this, it was combined with the hotel, which is a mistake (when you look for restaurants, the Waterline did NOT appear in search results).

    Tuna Ruben

Had some of the very best food on the peninsula!! This is super high end food at a reasonable price. I had a tuna Ruben and the calamari appetizer. The tuna Ruben was awesome with a very large severing of tuna and the calamari was some of the best I have ever had and generous serving.

My partner and I stayed in the At The Helm hotel and had dinner at the Waterline Pub. I have to say, the food and service here are fantastic! We had the loaded tachos and the pan fried oysters, both of which were delicious. I highly recommend stopping in if you're near Ilwaco!

Second time getting the mac&cheese and I love it!! Almost has that rich, "beer cheese" flavor to it. There was only one server working when we went so there was a little bit of a wait, but it was worth it. The server worked his butt off and it added to our overall experience. Root beer on tap was delicious.

A visit to the area and stumbled upon the Waterline Pub. Great menu, friendly staff (Tara) was excellent and recommended a great cider! Food was delicious, we had the steamer clams. Watching the boats come back to the docks and all the fish people had caught on the charters was a plus for the experience. We will definitely stop back at the Waterline Pub when we come back to visit!

    Crab bisque

Always the best place to eat. By far our favorite restaurant ever. I share an empty bowl because it's was impeccable. Nosh board is the perfect start. The bisque is on point. Fish tacos, fresh fish, and a beautiful salad. The Waterline is fantastic.

A very intimate dining experience. This pub is a hidden gem. Great atmosphere, freshest seafood and delicious craft cocktails! Need I say more.

Great burger and crab bisque downed with locally made cider. Popped in on a Sunday afternoon and our server was attentive and helpful.

We arrived before 5:00 pm, and it took a while to even put an order in. Even though we were sitting in the bar and there were a LOT of servers/bussers/etc. We ordered the Mushroom burger, the Chicken Bacon Guac burger and the Prime Rib Dip. Let's start with the pros - the Chicken Bacon Guac burger was pretty good! But the Prime Rib Dip had something like shredded meat on it, not sliced meat. So, when you dipped it in the Au jus, chunks of meet fell into the Au jus. Be ready to fish them out with a fork! The Mushroom burger was an exceptionally thin burger. Our server asked how we wanted it cooked. But it didn't matter. A burger that thin was coming out well done, no matter what. It had mushrooms on it, but not many at all. And we ordered the Cajun Tater Tots. Tonight, it was just like someone cooked tater tots, then shook some seasoning on them, and maybe the lid fell off the seasoning? They were drenched in some kind of Cajun-adjacent spice. We had recently been telling visiting guests that the Lost Roo was the one consistent, reasonably priced restaurant on the peninsula. We're going to have to stop telling people that now. Sadly, it'll be a while before we go back.
