This was our first time here, and we came for lunch on a Saturday. We ordered the House Smoked…read morePrime Rib Dip, and it was delicious! The meat was tender, the bread was fresh and soft, and the dip was so flavorful. The Caesar salad was perfect as well. There were several other dishes on the menu that caught our eye, so we're already looking forward to coming back and trying more next time. We also liked that they had TVs showing different football games.

We arrived before 5:00 pm, and it took a while to even put an order in. Even though we were sitting in the bar and there were a LOT of servers/bussers/etc. We ordered the Mushroom burger, the Chicken Bacon Guac burger and the Prime Rib Dip. Let's start with the pros - the Chicken Bacon Guac burger was pretty good! But the Prime Rib Dip had something like shredded meat on it, not sliced meat. So, when you dipped it in the Au jus, chunks of meet fell into the Au jus. Be ready to fish them out with a fork! The Mushroom burger was an exceptionally thin burger. Our server asked how we wanted it cooked. But it didn't matter. A burger that thin was coming out well done, no matter what. It had mushrooms on it, but not many at all. And we ordered the Cajun Tater Tots. Tonight, it was just like someone cooked tater tots, then shook some seasoning on them, and maybe the lid fell off the seasoning? They were drenched in some kind of Cajun-adjacent spice. We had recently been telling visiting guests that the Lost Roo was the one consistent, reasonably priced restaurant on the peninsula. We're going to have to stop telling people that now. Sadly, it'll be a while before we go back.

Our room was huge and was temperature controlled, we had a really big bathtub to soak in. We didn't even leave the hotel for dinner. We just ate at the bar! Rachel at the bar was just fantastic! The manager, Jasmine was also very kind and attentive. Milk and cookies at 7pm was such a nice little touch to seal the deal. Attention to detail at this place was impeccable. They've put so much thought into something as trivial as how they robes smelled! The hotel itself has a very cool and industrial architecture but without the coldness! They have incorporated huge water marble art and very minimalistic marine-animal art which was a great juxtaposition. We were only here for one night, but this was easily one of those hotels where the hotel itself becomes part of the trip.

Highlights of our trip included: * The Room & Views: Having a suite gave us great extra space, and the views of the Columbia River were unbeatable. * The Amenities: We loved the complimentary hot breakfast (with a live omelet station!), grabbing an early evening drink in the lounge, and the 7 PM cookies. * The Location: It's perfectly situated right on the river walk and just steps away from great places to eat. * The Spa: We both had incredible massages. I usually find resort massages to be hit or miss, but our therapist, Breanne, was phenomenal. She knew exactly what she was doing and finally removed a knot I've had for weeks! Highly recommend booking a stay (and a massage with Breanne)!"

Classy and cozy spot at the beach!…read more They have a great selection of small plates, flatbreads, and a salad. Also have a nice selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. I had the arugula salad with duck carnitas. It was fantastic. Super tasty and high quality. Folks around me were all raving about how great their meals were. Space is cozy and rustic. They have a few tables inside as well as outside both in front and in back. Service was super friendly. Looking forward to coming back!

We were the first ones there so we chose an outside table. Nice space with the fire table. It's a little off the street so everyone isn't in your business The drinks from the bar were not very good. Also the server was not very knowledgeable of the food or the drinks. We got some duck tacos on special. They were amazing. Ok. Things are looking up. Then the showstopper was the meat and cheese board. So beautiful and well explained and lots of handmade wares on. One of the best, if not the best, board I've had. Top notch. So why the bad reviews. We got to chat with the proprietor and we definitely caught them at a bad time. They are having some transitions in staff so if you're willing to be patient, it's worth a shot

My absolute favorite place to take out of towners when they visit Astoria!!!…read more To describe the place; the easiest way I can, is to say "imagine if the movie set of the 1980's version of "Tron" was an actual place to hang out." Not quite historically accurate, but hopefully you get my point. Extremely ambient and super-dope lighting. Vintage arcade games. Draft beer and ciders. You have to walk down to the side steps of an old warehouse building to even access this place (immediately makes you feel cool). A really great dip-in back by the legendary Polybius arcade game, blanketed in teal overhead lights and shadows from the surrounding machines, that make for a quick and excellent makeout spot. Someone told me that, anyways. Not me. I would never. Ask for the code to access the bathrooms and you will be delighted, if you're a true nerd.

So my first impression was this place is really cool inside. You could have some stairs and it's…read moreunderneath a building. They have drinks and beer, which we ordered a couple of. They have a ton of video games, especially pinball machines, which I love. I was excited to play them, but when I asked the bartender about it, she just explained how to scan a QR code and build an account in order to play them. it's really easy she said. Well, I scanned the code. built an account, created a password..etc. It was time-consuming. After I was done with all of that, I couldn't get the app to work on any of the games and I'm pretty good with technology. I couldn't find the bartender anywhere to ask her for assistance. So we had a beer, but I never got to play any games which I wanted to. Update. The owner response was very quick and I appreciate that in all businesses. They obviously take their business seriously so I added a star for that. I appreciate it. Thank you.

They also have the best fried cheese curds!! They do fried food well. Honestly, you can't go wrong with what you order. Service is fast and friendly. The restaurant itself is dark and dated, but it's clean and that's all that matters to me. The bar looks like it's well stocked and you can always find locals hanging about. First off it was nice and big, and extremely clean (even the women's restroom!). We were greeted right away and we sat at the bar. Our service was efficient, she swung by to make sure the food was good and then again when she noticed a beer glass was empty but she did not hover, which is what we prefer. We both got cheeseburgers and jojo's and left properly stuffed. Our burgers were perfect and those jojo's were huge and tasty! She noticed when we were ready for our check and we appreciated being able to get in and out so quickly as we still had a bit of a drive ahead of us and we were already tired.
