Hidden in almost an alley on the basement level sits a throwback arcade whose atmosphere feels more futuristic than retro. Great for kids five and older, and I mean older people who like pinball, vintage video games, plenty of taps and drinks of all kinds. I love how they have this app enabled pay system for all the games and again the atmosphere is out of this world. We played hard for almost an hour on $25 bucks and had credits left over. Definitely check this arcade out.

Went on a Saturday afternoon and was surprised that it wasn't busy. It is a fairly small arcade, but still had a good time playing some of the games. There is a bar to the side, but didn't check out what they served. It's definitely something worth checking out if you like arcades and if you're in the area.

This place is home away from home for my husband and I! We love the vibe of arcades, but the aesthetic of this place is such a dream! The music, the lights, it's as if you are in a vaperwave star trek ship in cyberpunk world. Our favorite.

I wasnt expecting much here - coming in from the dingy 'alley' outside it belies the space within - boy was I surprised! The attention to detail using lights and props really made this a cool place to visit, like you were in the bar on the Enterprise. Even an impressive sound system (yes i noticed your cleverly hidden subwoofer!). The games are very reasonably priced. I had a ball for just $10. Drinks and limited food reasonable too. The app worked great, I downloaded it before hand and loaded it with some cash. Look up the game number on the machine and find it in the app (the app shows all the games it 'finds' in bluetooth range with the corresponding numbers) The bathroom is - well, wow. lol Its a little cramped in here - if it was full I could see it being uncomfortable. Lots of old favorites here - asteroids, space invaders, 1942. Its about half pinball and half arcade. The pinball games were really fun too. Kids over 5 can attend with their parents. Definitely coming back.

Cute little arcade! I really enjoyed the futuristic space decor of the interior. Even the bathroom was cool and remained on the galactic theme. We went on a Sunday evening (around 5-6:00 pm), and we had the place to ourselves for the first couple of minutes. The only thing that was interesting about the place is that the games only accepted payment through an app you have to download on your phone.

The arcade and atmosphere are second to none! They top it off with a great drink selection.

It's so cool! If I lived in Astoria, I would come here all the time. I wish it were open longer.

They're not even trying to determine if their food and service is acceptable Missteps included: #1) Two different menus were given, one outdated with a special I wanted. Totally forgivable though #2) potatoes in bouillabaisse were so undercooked they were inedible. They made up most of the dish too. On the plus side, the broth and fish were well prepared. See photo #3) onions in the Hungarian mushroom soup were large, crunchy and near raw. #4) a main ingredient in my special salad was completely missing and it was impossible to find my wait person. Thankfully a bus person assisted, went to a manager, then the busser brought the ingredient to the table. #5) very poor timing of dishes brought to the table. Since there were few people dining I find this perplexing #6) we were never ONCE asked how things were, surprising especially since a manager knew of at least one misstep. The food was not awful, but the issues with the food combined with the "I don't care" wait staff and management in a pricy restaurant made it a NEVER AGAIN situation

While we were already excited based on the photos online, the reality of the experience surpassed every expectation from the moment we arrived. As soon as we stepped out of the car, we were greeted by the iconic sound of sea lions barking below the pier which immediately set a perfect maritime tone for our stay. The service began with a level of care that was truly impressive. The staff valeted our car and even ensured it was fully charged while parked, which was such a thoughtful and convenient touch. Heidi handled our check in with such warmth and professionalism that we felt like honored guests right away. We were delighted to be upgraded to a suite and the accommodations were stunning. One of the highlights was having the sauna pods right outside our door on the pier. It was an invigorating and peaceful experience that made the stay feel like a luxury retreat. The atmosphere at night is absolutely magical. Watching the cargo barges drift by while they are fully lit up is a beautiful sight and the historical trolley runs right outside the hotel for easy exploration. The location is perfectly placed within walking distance to a variety of excellent restaurants, coffee shops, and local activities. Worker's Tavern offers a full bar along with slot machines. There is an ATM on-site for those who need to take money out to gamble with. Indoors is small but has tables to seat large groups. In the back one will find an outdoor seating area with a dissimilar vibe than the tavern. During our visit, the kitchen staff was about 45 minutes late so we weren't able to order breakfast right away. Once the kitchen staff decided to show up, there were quite a few people ready to order their breakfast which caused disjointed and undercooked meal deliveries. Table service was not offered inside or outside. All transactions are done at the bar. The breakfast menu doesn't list pricing and when I asked about the prices, I was told they change regularly. Shady statement. While waiting for the kitchen staff I sipped on a Bloody Mary for $12 and my wife sipped on a Screwdriver for $6.50. The Bloody Mary seemed a bit overpriced to me. Two people in our group ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and it was still frozen on the inside when served. Worker's Tavern corrected the meals; however, I'm certain the meals were undercooked due to the pressure of the late kitchen staff and the hungry demands of the morning patrons. It is imperative that staff show up at their scheduled shift times. I wanted to try the Cheddar Fritters & Syrup but was told they were out of the item. My wife and I shared the Mushroom Swiss Omelet for $14 + $4.25 up-charge to add sausage to the omelet. We were both happy with our meal choice. Overall, Worker's Tavern has potential; however, that potential was severely during our visit.
