Inferno Lounge is such a fun and memorable place! The modern inferno theme, darker décor, and lively vibe create an atmosphere that feels both stylish and unique. Add in the incredible views of the Columbia River, and it's easily one of the coolest places in Astoria to relax and enjoy a drink. The cocktails are creative, beautifully crafted, and absolutely delicious. Their clam chowder is fantastic too. Thick, hearty, and loaded with meat, with a great consistency and a rich, classic chowder flavor. There was also a subtle hint of fennel that gave it something a little different without overpowering the traditional taste. After doing a chowder crawl and trying 10 different restaurants around Astoria, I would confidently put Inferno Lounge in second place, just behind Portway Tavern. Went here on a Sunday afternoon. Waited more than fifteen minutes for the woman behind the bar with long dark hair to at least take our drink order. Never happened. The table near ours waited almost as long for their check and got up, asked for their check and paid it at the bar. We finally just left. Cool place with friendly staff. The view is great as well. I came in for a drink a couple of times during my stay. I didn't try the food but there is always next time. I had a cherry vanilla whiskey with ginger ale as recommend and the second time a manhattan. They have a great menu and decent happy hour deals. They also have a corner with slot machines. Beautifully and conveniently located on the Columbia River pier. We parked about 250 feet away on 12th which was only two blocks from our evening comedy night venue, The Liberty Theatre. With our group of four arriving before 6PM meant low price happy hour snacks. So we paired colorful and tasty chips and smoky salsa with our first of day. My Bulliet Rye Manhattan was constructed well and the tasty cherry on the glass bottom was the cous de Grau! Her red blend wine pour was surprising generous too! Our server was thorough, accurate and prompt, meals magically appeared and disappeared in just a few heartbeats. My two spicy prawn tacos were all I needed to satisfy with their 6 large crustaceans; zesty sauce and cabbage mix on grilled tortillas. The Columbia River outside our tableside window capped off a delightful dining experience that I am confident, we will repeat again. Came here for the Bloody Mary plus the decent menu to find out it is 21 and over only. Fortunately our teens didn't mind waiting in the car (great parenting, I know) the Bloody Mary was too ... extra... in my option. Trying to do too much with it. Not terrible, but I wouldn't go back. Located on Pier #11 in Astoria in Oregon, we arrived late so it was pretty dark, too bad we didn't have such a long day sightseeing, it would have been a beautiful sight looking out of the window seeing Washington state across with the view. I ordered the bowl of clam chowder which was good and came out nice and hot, it was flavorful only thing it could use more clam meat, other than that it was worth it! The nachos came and it was huge even 3 of us couldn't finish that order and it came with 3 type of colorful chips and the side condiments you can order on the side which was nice because it didn't make the chips soggy, the only thing is that you pay extra if you want guacamole or salsa or sour cream and they sell it by side large or small containers. Came here as a last spur of the moment option. I will now come here first when I come to Astoria. Came to Astoria on a spontaneous date and tried to go to two different places that sadly closed before I got there. I found this place on here and couldn't have been happier. Walked in to a quaint bar with aesthetically pleasing decor, and a warm welcome from the bartender. It was slightly busy inside so I sat at a side table until I could get a water-view seat. Even with it being busy I was met, served my drinks, food, and had time to enjoy the view all within a timely manner. The weather and sunset permitted a lovely view. Although I imagine a stormy night here would be so pleasing. Now.. the vending machine. I LOVE a good vending machine. Theirs.. it's the best I've seen yet, and I've seen over my fair share of quirky vending machines. I wish I had came on a day the business next to the front door entrance were open as well. Update: 12/17/25 We visited the Inferno Lounge this week, and it was amazing! Our server, Josh, was excellent. Our food was great, which included the French Dip, the Garlic Penne Pasta and a Bacon Cheeseburger. We enjoyed all of them, especially the side salads we ordered. But the drinks stole the show! We ordered a couple different drinks, and they were all fabulous, including the Peanut Butter Martini, Cherry Blosdom Kamikazi and one of their Signature Blood Marys. We'll be back. Our only complaint was the building was a little cold. By the end of our meal, we were all wearing our jackets. Which is weird, considering we were sitting in the 'Inferno' lounge. read more

We decided to celebrate Thanksgiving this year at the Inferno Lounge. It was the only local place that didn't require a reservation, so we decided to throw caution to the wind and see if we could get a table. We got there early and a line was already forming to get it. We were able to snag a table with a fantastic view. Most of the tables have great views of the Columbia River. Besides their Thanksgiving special, they were also offering regular menu items. Since it was Thanksgiving we all ordered that special. What a delicious plate, too! Moist and flavorful turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, perfectly cooked asparagus, small portion of cranberry sauce, gravy and a soft, squishy dinner roll. Great portion, too. The only thing missing were sweet potatoes. Excellent meal, great, friendly service and a table with a view! And no clean up for me! How cool is that?! I don't eat hamburgers very much or cheeseburgers, and I was in the mood for one. The lady that was sitting at my table, asked for her cheeseburger to be almost rare, and I just said medium. They both came like hockey pucks. They were so crisp you could chip the edges off the the meat was so done it was gray. I got macaroni salad. Also it was just macaroni or pasta. It had no no dressing on it at all, it was just pasta. I asked for some Italian seasoning dressing to put on it. And then I ordered wanted a Coke but they had Pepsi so I said OK we'll do Pepsi. Well, I am kind of particular about my pop, but this Pepsi had absolutely no sparkle to it at all. I couldn't drink it. I gave it back to her and asked for water with a lemon. I loved my server who had pink hair (and I didn't get their name) but honestly 10/10 service with a smile that seemed truly kind. I got the burger with a side salad and was very happy with both. Happy Hour is offered Sunday-Thursday from 4pm-6pm. Inferno Lounge offers a full bar along with specialty cocktails. Menu offers a variety of food choices from sandwiches to seafood ensuring there is a favorite for all. During our visit, I had a glass of St. Michelle Sauvignon Blanc for $13. My wife had a Jameson on the rocks for $8. We shared the Crab & Prawn Cocktail for $39.75: 6 jumbo prawns, Dungeness Crab, vodka cocktail sauce and a lemon wedge. Our lunch choice was visually tempting and quite delightful. Our server was friendly but extremely slow. I got the impression that Inferno Lounge was short-staffed.
