House nachos, house salad, and poutine - plus pinball!!

Good food, great pinball (free the first Sunday of the month) and excellent service. The staff is really nice, portion large. Very dicey food, but great people. Nice to visit again.

Typical dive bar, which I always try to seek out. This one is bigger than most, though, with different levels. Plenty of stuff to do here, too. Trivia was there the night I went. Pinball machines, video poker, etc. And anywhere that has Quasi Modo in a window wearing a Superman T-shirt gets extra points in my book.

Love this place. I quit drinking years ago, so my comments here are strictly on Merry Time as a restaurant. They've got better food than you'd expect from essentially a pub. The burgers are especially great. More importantly, however, the space is super cozy and inviting, with a raised dining area, a fireplace, a tv (sports bar style), and even a game room at the far end. Pool table X1. If I might digress, I hadn't been to Merry Time in probably over a decade until just recently, when folks at the Labor Temple (their sister bar) sent me over for lunch one day when they were closed. Back in the day, Merry Time was just this stark, cavernous space with a bar, populated with college age kids. Nothing noteworthy. I assumed it was the same, but at some point it was completely transformed into a sports pub style place. As I said, it's super cozy now. Great place to hang out on a rainy winter day for a bite, to watch a game, to play pool or maybe a few hands of cribbage. It's a keeper.

Great selection of beer and pinball. There are some slot machines here, pool tables and possibly lotto it looks like too. The pinball machines here are in great working condition. When the ball got stuck on one of the machines the bartender was nice enough to refund me my change. I would definitely come back. I did not try the food here but it smelled great.

Great atmosphere and fun board games/arcade games as well. The area is pretty spacious and a fun place to go for a beer. I had just gotten into the area and the food wasn't bad either, the tots were AMAZING they were super seasoned and crispy. I thought about going back just for the tots. The cider I got was pretty good too with a nice flavor. I don't have rueben's often, but I enjoyed it. Ordering the food was pretty relaxed. You order at the bar and then get a number for the table. The bartender was great and super nice.

Staff is always nice, attentive and fun. Good selection of beers. Burgers, tacos and chicken strips are always good with beer. Many big screen TV's for sports fans. Cheers and well done Merry Time!

The servers were very easy going with my daughter and I. She really loved the pinball and unique atmosphere. The burger and chicken sandwich were to die for.

Saddest grilled cheese I've seen in a long time. Carnitas were soooooo dry and no flavor. Drinks were extremely weak.

Rudely told "We are closed!" at 10:00 p.m. on a Friday evening. Younger crowd, half not wearing masks anyway. Update your hours.

Silver Star Sports Bar & Grill - Crispy Panko Shrimp meal

Whereas I was going to order the Crispy Panko Shrimp & a basket of fries, our server inquired if I would rather have the entree, which included fries & coleslaw as well as 8 shrimp vs 6- of which I opted for & was not disappointed! The shrimp were indeed crispy & very good, as was the entire meal & well worth the extra $1.99! Service was good as well. I didn't get her name, but she said she had been there quite a while. This is a nice venue of good size with pool tables & even small TV screens mounted just above the tables in the booths!! Lots of large screens mounted about as well for sports fans. On weekends, they have karaoke one night & sometimes a DJ on Saturday night with dancing. Definitely a good place to visit!

Generally speaking, the food is good and we order a whole lot for our table(s) of 6 including drinks and desserts. The kids meals are a solid value - big portions of chicken strips and fries, and another with a grilled cheese and lots of tater tots. The bougie chicken bacon alfredo mac came on a big ole plate and kid #1 who ordered it, says it is very good. Myself and a friend split a Forester burger -- it comes a side, we chose onion rings, and while the burger is great (caramelized onion and gorgonzola are a fire combination), the onion rings were way overcooked to the point there was almost no onion left in the batter lol (saaaad). Kids # 2 and 3 order happy hour mozzarella sticks, soft pretzels, and panko shrimp. Everything is good according to the children and their limited taste buds. Adults order cocktails which are light on alcohol (sad face) but heavy on delicious flavors! Desserts for 3 kids, everyone says everything is great. Beyond the hollow onion rings, our service was a bit sub-par this time around. Kid #2 spilled his entire drink and while we got some help from the server in the form of bringing more napkins to the table, server girl did nothing about the lake of dr pepper on the floor below it. It was disappointing, not gonna lie. Kids are annoying, I get it, but we had to sit with our shoes in this mess. It dried enough in some spots that our shoes were literally sticking to the ground. Server girl also forgot to put the order in for the panko shrimp sooo kid #2 thought he was being punished because he got his shrimp after everyone else practically finished their meals lol. Our tab was close to 200 bucks. I cringe super hard at the thought of paying half that bill, and tipping fairly, if only because my shoe almost came off my foot when I finally stood up to leave. Dr Pepper almost got me.

The woman behind the bar, may have been the owner, was so kind, caring and attentive. She made conversation with me over my license from Colorado, asked my name and remembered it as I was leaving saying "have a nice day, Nate" Soooo sweet and kind. A true gem of a human. She even had regulars that she said "I told you when we were on that hike that I owe you a drink so this ones on me" freaking precious. Okay now that I'm done praising the owner/bartender. The food was exquisite too. I got a basic cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese, tomato, onion and lettuce. It was cooked well and was enjoyed heavily and quickly haha. The cook even came by to check that I liked it as well. Very warm place with great food. Much enjoyed. The place was clean and kept up well. This was one of the first dive bars I had been to where they had slots and that was a bit of a twist. I didn't roll the dice on them as the only thing I gamble on is once a year and that the horses at the Kentucky derby. Keeps my gambling in line and doesn't upset the in-laws too much. If I visit Seaside OR again, I will absolutely find myself back here for another delicious burger and friendly interaction.
