My sister and I are in Seaside for the week and had dinner here last night, everything was so good! I'm surprised with the lack of overall stars. It was warm and clean inside. The waiter, DQ, was attentive, friendly, and answered all of questions. The other waiter and waitress that we interacted with were also super friendly. I ordered the Brussels Sprouts and Pan Seared Scallops....oh boy, was I in heaven! The best I've ever had anywhere so far. I also got their Honey Orange Lager My sister ordered their Seafood Fettuccine, she loved it too and so did I with the bite she allowed me to try, it was that good! Had dinner here in December '23. Quiet due to being off season. Ribeye was good, and the cheesecake was delicious. Happy server and a really energetic helper were fun. Tables and chairs are worn out. I was visiting Seaside, Oregon to attend a convention and had earmarked a large sum of money to purchase some equipment featured at the convention. However, I decided that now wasn't the time for me to buy that equipment. While exploring the convention area of town, I decided I wanted to enjoy a nice steak. When I checked Yelp! I found The Twisted Fish and after reading some reviews I decided that was were I would go. Since I decided against buying the equipment from the convention, I had some money I could spend on a nice meal. I sat in the bar area because I was dining solo and didn't want I feel more comfortable sitting at a countertop when I'm not with anyone else. Also, when I'm alone I tend to study my surroundings more. I find there is usually more to look at when I'm sitting at a bar. The Twisted Fish was no different. The entire back wall was lined with TVs, but only a few were on. Probably because I was one of three customers enjoying the bar. I'm sure when it's busier more of the TVs are used. Also available for entertainment was a wall mounted internet jukebox, video lottery machines, pool tables, and a large sitting area. After looking over the menu an agonizing over three choices, I decided I would order the Fillet Mignon. It has been over a decade since my last fillet mignon and I had to try the one from Twisted Fish. I was very pleased with my decision because the steak was seasoned perfectly and cooked so that the steak was pleasant to eat. So tender and juicy that before I knew it I had eaten the whole fillet. My meal was so filling that I had to reluctantly refuse dessert. I will be sure to visit The Twisted Fish next time I'm in town! read more

Had such a great time at this place. Had the wings multiple times and loved them. Service was great, beer was local Sisu and cheap compared to most craft beer I have had. Large bar! Yelp starts this review by saying: A few things to consider in your review: Food, Service, Ambiance. Wow, well they fail at all three. Now 2 years ago, I posted a review and swore I would never EVER come back. But, here we are on New Year's Eve, and our favorite places are closed, and we wanted to stay close...sooooo hubby said, "Look, in 2 years a place can change." Oh my. It did change. It got even worse. So we get there and we are seated. We wait, we wait, we wait...we don't even get WATER for 20 minutes. FINALLY we get that, but no drink order, nothing. The waitress is telling stories of how everyone feels they know her...it's been happening for YEARS she says to another table. Well, couldn't be too many years, because I'm not sure she is old enough to serve alcohol. But ...I digress. She finally shows up at our table to take our drink order, but by this point we are STARVING. So hubby tells her we would like to order our dinner too. This seems to take her aback...but we order our drinks, clam chowder for him (and he asks for Tabasco sauce) and onion rings for me. Then I order prime rib rare, and he orders the salmon. We wait, and wait, and wait...finally out comes our appetizers. The onion rings that she raved about, after telling me that the artichoke dip has an odd texture and is not that good, are thrown on a plate, and they appear to be and taste like Ore Ida. There is no sauce with them though the menu claimed there would be a bbq and a garlic aioli sauce. I point this out she asks which I want. I said, both...since it comes with both. We also had to again, ask for Tabasco sauce. Once the dips and sauce arrives, I take one bite of an onion ring, and hubby has had 2 spoons of chowder when our dinners come out. I said, "That is too fast..." but she ignores us and puts them down. First thing I notice is the meat is cold, not like rare cold, but like room temp cold, and the veggies are reallllly cold. The au gratin potatoes are the only warm thing on my plate. Hubby says his veggies are also stone cold. 15 min later, the waitress asks how it is and we tell her the food is cold and veggies very cold. "Oh do you want me to take them back to get reheated?" Now, they were never heated, clearly...so RE is not the term I'd use, but generally we REPLACE the food. Hubby says, "No, by the time it comes out I would be done with the rest of the food." She goes away. She then comes to ask if we want a box, I'm still trying to eat, so clearly, no. Another lady comes by, very nice woman and asks the same, and I say no, I'm not reheating OreIda onion rings that I only got one of due to the food coming too quickly. She apologizes to me. Then the server comes, does NOT remove any plates, and says, "Here is your check," like she cannot wait for us to leave. I'm clearly sensing she has a party she wants to get to and I am cramping her style. I said, "Don't you have a dessert menu?" "Oh," she says, and rattles off three things. My hubby says he would like the pecan pie. She still takes NONE of the dishes. Pie comes out, she hands it OVER the dirty dishes, leaving them in place. I try to ask for a refill of soda, but she ignores me completely. I go to pay the bill and I ask her to remove the onion rings since I didn't get to eat them. She says, she doesn't think they can. I said, "Get your manager." She leaves. She then returns saying, "She said to take it off she has no time to talk to you." Well then. I paid the bill and on it I wrote, "Tell your manager to pay the tip--I don't have time." and I left. Two years made it only worse. As we left, we saw that people were lined up for the New Year's Eve Party. So still, Karaoke and parties are what this place is about, not food. I get it. Be warned. The folks here saying the meat is cold and flavorless. They aren't lying to you. Trust the yelps. Avoid this place. read more

Walked the area and settled here. It was a very nice place. Brandon took excellent care of us. Hubby had prime rib with a Caesar salad, loaded potato, and seasonal veggies. He was 100% thrilled with his meal. I ordered the crab cake appetizer (seems to be the only way to get them a lot of places) added a side salad and it was the perfect meal. Crab cakes were 7 out of 10. I asked for the sauce on the side and am glad I did because the horseradish sauce that came with hubbies prime rib was better. We had a very long day traveling and I picked this place because prices were a bit cheaper than those in the same area. We walked in and there is no one at the front. Looking around, you can clearly tell there is very little staff. We were greeted and eventually seated. The staff was wonderful, and it seemed like a family owned place. The grandkids were on the verge of meltdowns but the staff was very kind and understanding, although service was very slow and lagged. Food was just ok. Burgers were overcooked (close to well done) even though requested at medium rare. Sweet potato fries were pretty good as was the clam chowder. I was actually surprise our food came out really good. We got here pretty late at 930p and they had started karaoke night in their pub/bar area. The host was kind enough to warn us if we were ok with the noise cause it's just going to get louder Hubby really loved his steamer clams and he sauce was really good and soaked into the clams. Lobster was juicy and cooked in perfection. That little candle really helped keep the butter warm with every bite. I had the steak meatloaf it's a twist to your classic meatloaf that I enjoyed. Grill cheese has avocado and tomatoes in it. It was really good too but wish they had tomato soup as a pairing (but that could be just me). Our group of seven went in here on a recent trip to Seaside. We were greeted upon entering and seated right away. Our waitress was very friendly and polite. She took our order and it was 100% correct. The food was delicious. And the fish and chips were the best that we have ever had hands down.
